10 hours of footage. 11 pages of notes. 20 hours of editing. This was a hard video to tackle, but I’m happy it came out exactly how I wanted it to. Be prepared for an onslaught of non-stop weapon talk for 27 minutes. I don’t hold back here. This weapon loadout series is what got me in your feeds and what got my channel to where it is now, 4k subs in 6 months is crazy to me, you have no idea! I really appreciate all the continued support from you guys. I may have been AFK on RU-vid for a week, but behind the scenes I have been working my butt off on this video. This extensive look at the M4A1’s in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, is a big long love letter to you all, for your support! So HAPPY NEW YEAR, let’s kick it off right! Enjoy the show! Last note: I may have positioned myself too close to my mic during some parts of the recording so the audio unfortunately has a buzzy effect when I get louder. When I get into “the zone” while recording, sometimes I don’t realize how loud I am getting or how close I get to the mic.
I think the M4A1 standard variant is the best overall weapon in the game. With mastery maxed, it has almost no recoil and it is the only one that can fit the 100-round magazine as well as under-barrel grenade launcher. I use it for everything up to about 200 meters and the Zastava for long range.
i have my settings on just one primary weapon so it will have to be the m4a1 scout. it can do everything i enjoy - light sniping with its dmr range and accuracy, up close and personal with its excellent mobility and time to aim, great damage output without compromising on the recoil and kick. single shot for most engagements and will switch to burst for heavy gunners (one single burst to knock off the helmet AND deliver follow up headshot kill shots given the m4 family insane fire rate) and helicopters/ground drones. the asr variants i find unsatisfactory in the sniping department and the scout i don't perceive any tradeoffs in asr usage scenarios anyway.
Wow! This is an amazing weapon class comparison/loadout video!!! I don't doubt the hours it took to put this beauty together. I've been using the M4A1 tactical since your loadout video on it, and its been my staple rifle other than "Trigger" (my 4-AC workhorse). Today I'm crafting the Assault version and taking both versions out for a stroll to compare and find the right fit for my playstyle, after your awesome advice. Thank you for all you share with the community, and as always, I'm smashing that "Like" button, and commenting to interact. "Keep your head down, stance to the ground, one kill per round." 🎯🔫✌😎🇨🇦
Love the m4a1 assault. Such a versatile platform. I run a similar loadout as the video except a different stock for style preference and an underbarrel grenade launcher for added versatility.
Outstanding recap and detailed breakdown brother!!! If not the best I’ve seen to date!!!!✊🏼 definitely helps with play style and default load outs man! All that time and effort always worth it !!
You can set up the base m4a1 to be a laser beam. Literally can let off 100 rounds with the 100 round mag and have your pattern be less than the size of a human head. That's without touching anything to control the recoil.
Such a great video bro! I love to geek out over weapon stats and this is the perfect vid for that. You cover all the nuances of each of these rifles and helped me understand what these different stats actually do. Fantastic work here!
Another banger video we got here. Nice work, going super in depth with your comparison of the separate variants. Been using the M4A1 recently, the Iron sights hit different nowadays, so this video came at a good time for me.
Pretty sure you were like one of my first subscribers, and I'm pretty sure my first request on this channel was from you man. Thanks dude. Happy to have you around this long 🤜🤛 Yea man those iron sights are so immersive. Planted on a hill firing across at enemies sounds like a good time. You don't necessarily have scopes to help you, so you can really get immersed into different scenerios with that👌
I use the tactical one almost exclusively. GRB ballistics are shit without the Spartan mod, so it really doesn't matter what gun you choose. And full auto is a Hollywood thing. I never use it, even in games... All my years doing this shit for real, and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've used full auto in combat. Old habit is hard to break. That being said, I don't miss, so 1 round is equal to 30.
Nice work, in fact very nice work in going over the M4A1 series. A question; which specific perks are you using with any of the loadouts, or at least which perk(s) are you always using, if any? For example, Ballistic Advantage?
@@mortyelectro That's one reason, the other being no specific killing requirement(s) for refilling the class "item". Having specific classes for a GR titled game was downright silly.
Always find it interesting you never have the underbarrel grenade launcher on your loadouts. Thats a staple on my assault loads. Love the videos and your passion for this game
I like when you were using the scout at one point and you had the Alicia Diaz skin/outfit thing. I just finished reading the Ghost Recon book and she’s the main team sniper in that book. Pretty awesome.
My favorite is the M4A1 Assault, I find it very easy to handle even if the others have better handling. I prefer the extra damage, and IMO, with the Daniel Defense RIS II FSP rail looks the coolest out of all of them.
Ima be honest, I just use the M4A1 Tactical because it looks sick without the Mini CQB stock. Just wish it had a PMAG by default instead of a STANAG mag.
nice video, except for the fact that m4a1 assault is better then the tactical. I think it is the situation Scout: clearing a camp without going in there from a rock Assault: loud or mid-long range, good for wolves camps Tactical: stealth from close-mid range or cqc, like to use it for sentinel because its quitter and you can take out targets quicker and you can take out also the snipers in the towers normal: good for loud clearing and mid-long range stealth, sometimes also fun for sentinel camps
M4a1 tactical has been my go to m4 since its been in game it just has best profile to it looks super dope with the integrally suppressed barrel and shroud looks dope get it with accuracy and range its a beast its right up there with any of the scout variants of other rifles and some dmrs
Wow I am super late here but this was a great video; I am happy I found this channel. Very detailed information! This was very helpful and me and my buddies are all rocking the different m4a1 family types I am running the m4a1 with 100 mag for a light machine gun effect. We have all bases covered!
Thanks! You unlock the mastery system only after your entire skill tree gets completed! So get that done. 👍 Once you finish your skill tree, all the leftover skill points + any skill points you earn moving forward can be used to upgrade your masteries.
Ghost Recon Thunder... Why do you like the grip pod for the underbarrel? I feel like I'm missing something because, it's not on my top 5 to use, particularly for 90% of the M4 family. I'm open to being proved wrong & perhaps you listed the reasons why in a different video that I haven't seen yet. Note: my brother & I have only been playing for the last 3 weeks. I am a long time Ghost Recon player... since the very 1st version. I made & had the most used mod for the the 1st Ghost Recon also. I'm very proud of it. Think of the mod as a "weapon mastery mode." I know this has nothing to do with Breakpoint but, we share a few common beliefs in shying away from fake weapons, gear mode & raid mode (the dumb over the top RGB crap). I also wouldn't buy it, until it was available on Steam.
Really great review. I found the information really useful, though there is a lot to take in. I am going to watch it again. It should be noted that I am still new to the game, and still learning how things work. But, thus far, I have what might be an unusual style I call 'stealth based assault." Essentially, what I like to do is take out enemies from a distance at first, then move up, going from cover to cover and taking out targets relatively quietly, but I love a good assault rifle for when things get dirty. I do tend to prefer full auto and burst, though, to be fair, I've never used single shot with an assault style rifle. So, a good all-around weapon works for me, as distance is important, but are the other ranges. I currently use a TAC50 sniper rifle for my distance shorts, then switch to an assault rifle for up close. I just obtained the MAWL-DA laser sight tonight and I am pretty sure I want the digital scope as I love that allows me to switch between standard and distance. But, I have the T5X on my sniper rifle. On a completely unrelated topic, I noticed your female character shown @5:25 has a ponytail I've not yet seen as available to player characters. How does one obtain THAT? Yes, I know it is not important to game play, but I do like my character to look a certain way, and that hairstyle is spot on.
@@GhostIslandThunder you lucky bro I wish I could do that, I’ve been enjoying the content bro thought I was subbed for the longest time but I wasn’t unfortunately, keep up the great work!
@@xenwrld9329 thanks man! yea I have literally no idea why the order of the NVG's is different for people and I have no idea why I don't have the option to untuck my pants from my boots but others have an option to apparently.
@@GhostIslandThunder unlucky man, that would be killing me, also never realised the 416 was so strong until last night when I realised I had it and as I play siege I felt like using it with the jäger skin so thanks for the build on that too
I didn't include it because it's redundant and this video would have been too much of a mess if more was in it. Toss a short barrel on your M4A1. Same shit once you have the weapon mastery fully maxed out imo.
@@GhostIslandThunder hey man, forget about the 553 scout. I'm now requesting you do a video with the AK74 asr. It has range, and is dead on. Please do that one.
The trigger restrictions in this game are so stupid. Would love single/auto with the M4A1 Assault. Easy enough to tap the trigger I guess and turn auto into semi by yourself, but still, dumb limitation. Why are they trying to "balance" a PvE experience?
hello i wanna buy breakpoint but id like to ask how can i get m4a1 ASR blueprint and m4a1 TAC? i tried to find it on internet but nothing so i wanna know if its possible to find it in game or its in pass so i must buy premium edition?
@Richard Kyle Sopko The blueprint for the Standard M4A1 is found in the Behemoth location in the Channels province, on Misty Range, while the M4A1 Assault and Tactical variants blueprints being sold by Maria for credits, each at Erewhon and the M4A1 Scout variant is gained by the level 10 on Pathfinder
I believe you need to first have unlocked both the standard bipod and the RVG grip. Then the option to have the combo will appear. You might be missing one of those!
I managed to loot an M4A1 standard and am really enjoying it. However, I am wondering which variant would work best with my particular playstyle, and would love to get them all. To that end, I have a question. Where can I find the blueprint for the M4A1 Assault and the M4A1 Scout variants?? I've seen that the tactical is a faction reward, and the M4A1 standard is in a behemoth area, but I have been unable to find information on the other two.
M4a1 scout you need to get to pathfinder level 10, M4A1 standard is in the Channels Province at a behemoth defence area at Misty Range.i think the assault variant was in marias shop... with the shorty variant and the tactical variant
So I didn't include it because I feel it's redundant. Like the standard M4A1 is already perfect for CQC, especially if you put on a short barrel. It would have added more clutter to an already packed video.
Feel it's the most accurate compared 2 the other variants with the gun mastery butt think the assault is neck and neck with the reg m4 butt I believe the reg m4 passes it by an inch
The grip mod is garbage. Obviously you dont shoot this rifle in real life. The angled foregrip is what you need and for the m4 all you need scope wise is either the acog or the eotech and 3x magnifier
That sight your using in 8:24 is the worst scope ever and no one would use that in real life if they are a pro. It's got good sight picture but the 4 way notch literally blinds your sight so it doesnt even matter if it has good sight picture or not. It's way to busy. That's why the real life acog Chevron picture is perfect it's simple and gets the job done up to 500yds
People say realism. But then the character can randomly switch between left handed and right handed. Do SF guys ever do that? I can't wait for GR to go back to first person view, or at least have the option.
Only an amateur ghost would waste so much ammo on 1 dude. You really are shooting like an army soldier. Im a marine vet and we do one shot one kill. No need to have it full auto unless your using suppressive fire for your team. Semi auto is perfect. I took out a whole wolves base with one mag cause I dont waste bullets for no reason. Your shooting 7 rounds for 1 dude. I would never use the m4 if it's only burst/auto you do realize that in full auto you can make it single shot by not holding it down but by just tapping it lightly once for one shot. What a joke
Ahaha yea bud, I always push for single shot it's the right way, buttttt I understand that this is a game and it's fun as fuck to dump dudes in auto, so that's why I def use automatic firing too. I can't remember now what I said exactly in this video but I have mentioned about the whole lightly pressing in automatic mode to get semi auto shots off, that's what I did for all the assault tests. Ya know you should join our Discord, got a few vets in there, some ex military guys it's interesting hearing the perspective of guys like you, feel free to join up. 🤙
