Maasai warriors called "Moraan" and there traditional dances and vocals. The filmed villages was located at Ol Doinyo Lenagi the Mountain of God L´Engai.
First saw this video ten years ago, when doing independent research on indigenous African peoples. Still gives me great joy to hear these young men sing and see their ease journeying across the terrain. Thank you for uploading this.
@@Astra-36 Me, too. The only online Maa-English dictionary I could find is fairly outdated, and the formatting is so clunky. I'd love a better-made dictionary, because I like studying other cultures, and languages are always amazing. Edit: oops, repeated a word.
I feel sad that such a beautiful & amazing peoples, possessing such a strong historical culture, could ever get a thumbs down, or aren't even being noticed via you tube! Great shame on humanity! You see the most ridiculous uploads, that get exponential views & when this amazing upload is shared with the world, only a mere handful of people are interested. It's a sad world we all live in. :-( The good news, i am totally interested, intrigued & captivated & i will share this with all i know. To the Masai Warriors of East & NE Africa, please keep your amazing culture & beautiful, rich traditions alive & well, for we will be, a much poorer global society, without it. Tack for sharing.
@@glenoneill3950 I think you've missed the point here Sir. I never said "once" within my msg, that Maasai peoples are sad. I stated that "i" felt sad, so the other way around! Why do i feel sad? Because it's a well known global fact, that many African peoples, from countless African tribes across Africa, are often forgotten, hence not being noticed &/or represented positively on the global stage. You may disagree, but if you do, then you've been walking around with your eyes closed & your ears blocked to the "true" history of Africa & it's peoples. Of course they're not sad & yes, you are correct! They do look happy & they're obviously very proud of their culture & so they should be. My personal & humble advice to you......Just stop, think, take a very deep breath & learn to relax. :-) Peace to you & to all.
@@INTUITIVENORSK2303 AND THAT IS MY POINT YOUR "SADNESS" IS YOUR REALITY.....IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE PEOPLE......YOU ARE FOCUS ON THE PAST.....THESE ARE STRONG PEOPLE.....ABLE TO SURVIVE IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT......AND HAVE DONE SO FOR QUITE A LONG TIME.......THEY COULD NOT HAVE DONE SO BY FEELING SORRY FOR THEMSELVES WITH SELF PITY. YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT PEOPLE GIVING A "THUMPS" DOWN TO THE CONTENT AND PROCEEDING TO "SHAMING HUMANITY"........THIS APPEARS TO ME TO BE VIRTUE SIGNALING.......IN OTHER WORDS LOOK HOW VIRTUOUS I AM FOR FEELING "SAD" FOR THESE PEOPLE. ATTEMPTING TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL GUILTY AND SHAME FOR THE HISTORICAL AND PRESENT CONDITION OF MASSAI PEOPLE. INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON THE BEAUTY OF THE PEOPLE AND THEIR RESILENCE. BLESSINGS.
To Me comes the thought: how beautiful these teen age boys sing , dance and are. And they are strongly connected to nature, while in other countries the connection to nature is broken and the young think to own a car is the greatest thing to have. Africa and its people are beautiful.
What beautiful people with amazing voices! Love this video so much! It is so entrancing and beautiful. Thank you for showing us your beautiful culture!💖💖💖
He meant descendants, he didn't say they're Egyptians. And it's still true to say Nilo-Saharan speaking groups as well as Afro-Asiatic cushitic groups trace their origin to Ancient Egypt
😊 I love this video, i have never traveled so i bring the world to me. I don't know how old this video is ,but God Bless them always. I love there singing 🌈🌷🐘🐒⭐🌞🦁🦉
In Front of the Majestic Manjaro it's nice to Sing and Dance ~ : Sweet Home Maasai Land Young Morans ~ and the Lions hiding in the Wilderness ~ Supa Massai ~ Supa Ero 🌺🤍💗🌹💗🤍🌺
Much love to you too, my dear Indian sister. I love India, her vibrancy, her amazing beauty, her culture & her peoples. My love & best wishes sent to you all. I must visit India again some day. God bless, take care & stay safe. x
These are the real thing! This is what Tourist will seldom see as it's becoming very rare to get "Real morans" today :-) Enaajda both of you are right Morans is warriors and it's the first of 3 steps of adulthood. Moranism - junior elder - senior elder.
Lord Murugan- associated with war and known as warrior . All the martial arts were fought by him to this world. Murugan to Moraan. Listen carefully they mentioned morana Samy ( Samy is a tamil word meaning Lord )
@@r.kumarrajasekaran2451 Indeed! I actually met the maasai when i visited kenya and told them about the tamil god murugan. They immediately said 'he sounds like a maasai' They even carry murgans 'vel' (spear)
