Only complaint is I wish they had a optic plate that cowitnessed through optics. Holosuns and trijicons cant cowitness.

I would love to see them make this in a full dust cover. Staccato's with that feature, (STI") are now highly collectable and really give the 2011 style guns their unique look. I do appreciate the browning cut on the muzzle of the slide, just as Staccato and Spring Field went to. But still! KnifeMaker

When are early adopter MAC owners going to get (the as advertised) sights that co-witness with the RMR/507? As it currently stands the iron sights sit just below the deck height of a RMR/507. Also, multiple users (myself included) report that you can remove the slide stop by just pushing it through the frame when the slide is in its normal "ready to fire" position. A slide stop with a little bit of extra material on the part of the part that slots into the slide rails would easily fix this. Aside from these two issues, the MAC 9 DS is hands down the best 2011 style pistol for anyone interested in trying out the platform but not wanting to spend $2K+ to do so. It is laser accurate, very fast to return to point of aim and is a remarkably soft shooter. In other words... It is good enough that you may choose to skip going upmarket into one of those $2500 pistols in the future. Good job SDS!!!

Hope they get your slide stop taken care of, mine is not like that. I think they days summer for the new plates. I do get a small, tiny co-witness with a Tacticon v4. Enough to make is usable in a pinch

A 2011 is generally considered to be a high-end production gun such as a Stacatto. The family moves up to production, hand-fit pistols, and then pistols that are handmade hand-fit. Makers such as Infinity, Atlas, and Hayes Custom make their parts or mix available and proprietary (custom spec'd) parts and are hand fit. Nighthawk is a completely hand-built pistol using proprietary designs and parts. Many high-end 2011s are CNC'd for tight tolerances in the fit and finish. Shooting a top-flight custom gun involves a large learning curve. For example, the trigger pull on my Hayes is 1.5 lbs. You fart, and the gun will fire. The slides are designed for speed. The best thing about the Tisas guns is that they use forged internals, no MIM.

They are not a carry magwell, but they are easily removable and yes staccato parts friendly :)

Hello man, it was mentioned that the Holosun K optics will fit but will the Holosun 507c and/or the 508T fit the MAC 9DS platform? 😎

Tisas models are direct mount holosun K. Mac9DS has an included plate that accepts RMR footprint. A 507 or 508t will work on the mac9ds! Thanks

@@NEWYORK577 oops sorry I thought I was responding to someone else’s question. I checked with the rep and he’s saying it should be pretty easy with the right allen wrench, you might also try heating it up first with a soldering iron, but that shouldn’t be necessary.

Why dint more companies make these double stack pistols that use glock mags? I would grab one fast if they did. Glock mags are way cheaper but still reliable . As to that glock mags are everywhere.

@@CraigSummers +1!!! Part of the 1911/2011 shooting experience is the angle of the grip. It and the CZ gun's ar top of the heap in this regard. Hate the grip angle on a Glock. Period! KnifeMaker

@@CartersCountry1 Lot's of people make holsters for them Many make fine holsters for 1911/2011's with a rail. If impossible to find in your area, the 4 14" fits a Glock 19 and the 5" fits a glock 17 holster just fine. Sacrilege as it may be. KnifeMaker
