I listen to them and it brings Back memories of a more peaceful and gentle world . I’m 88 and have tried to get grandchildren interested but no luck so far.
Я тоже пытаюсь . Надо рассказать им кто был Нельсон Эдди из какой семьи и чего смог сам добиться в оперном деле. И какой непорочной была Джанетт что и создало их большую любовь через музыку
When I listen to these beautiful songs, which I sang myself so many times with my father, the tears roll down my face. I try to avoid listening to them, because they make me so sad. A beautiful time that we lost a long time ago. 😂
What beautifull magic they created together,Jeanette was so lovely , her voice, her personality and beauty will live on in the hearts of her fans always !
My stepbrother - the film fanatic of our household - used to get me to watch all the old musicals with him. He was like a father figure for me (10 years older) & taught me a lot about movies & plays. Really nice memories.
Thank you Baz for the beautiful clips and the gorgeous voices of our darlings Jeanette and Nelson. You are a treasure for keeping their memories going. Viv
noel coward wrote some wondrfull music who else to sinbg them but the most wonderfull singers of all time god may the rest in peace and tranquility thank you so much for this memory :):):) an oldie of so long ago
I wish the post boomer generations would open their minds and ears full stop. We have managed to become a closed minded and not well educated society. This is the type of behaviour that is the harbinger of a national collapse.
Wonderful tribute, Baz! Time may lie heavy between, but what has been, is past forgetting! Indeed..and thanks to your artistry, Jeanette and Nelson are winning new converts...they would be so pleased!
FriendlyFire: "Bitter Sweet, " you got that right. What can I type? A hero dies but once, a cowerd dies many deaths...I was a selfish cowerd Eddy, beating of rejection. I was so afraid, strong & manly as they are nasty people, jealous full of enviey; beautiful Jennette she added "bitter sweetness." I pray and cry in morning and at night the internet must be wrong you made the world smile just you being here. Joy, comfort, peace be with you Eddy eternal songs of love... Ziggy Stardust. So be it. 💔 Broken Heart...my tears are w/you.
True love never dies..................it goes on and on and the flame keeps the fire burning - If only they had had the courage that their love should have given them....................their voices meld and become one and will always keep the flame alive alive in our hearts............tell me it wasn't so and they now live in the love they so deserved........................they gave us so much with their beautiful voices in combination ................................I could go on and on about the pleasure listening to them brings.......yes even now all these years later
My pleasure Viv! Glad you enjoyed the video. Now that winter is approaching, I am preparing a great season of J&N entertainment with a great Christmas program during the month of December. So keep watching for new releases every Friday! BAZ
JUST WONDERFUL.. THANK YOU NOT MY FAVORITE OF THEIR MOVIES BUT YOU HAVE MANAGED WITH STILL AND CLIPS AND THE MUSIC TO MAKE IT WONDERFUL..OF COURSE JEANETTE AND NELSON TOO..OH JUST WONDERFUL...
Im suprised the full movies are not on youtube or somewhere for free being so old. Rather hard to find, but I have them all on VHS along with the Fred and Ginger collections which are the cure for depression and the pressures of modern life.
Amazing quality! Could you please upload Eddy singing If You Could Only Come With Me? I just watched Bitter Sweet for the first time and I fell absolutely in love! Can't find that particular song anywhere online :(
+BlueStarberryAKTF I will release a video with the required song on January 8th for you. My video 'REMEMBER BITTER SWEET' was unfortunately blocked and removed by Warner Bros recently.
Even at the time they were made these films were seriously cornball....but J &N had the class and magnetism to elevate them above the silly scripts and situations. They didnt condescend but they didnt take it TOO seriously. Gave the audience permission to escape with them.
