Mac was the first "rapper" I listened to in middle school. I'm 23 now so he's practically been "artist father figure" for my entire life essentially. I know about his alter-ego's, Larry Lovestein and Delusional Thomas. I met him twice, Reno and San Francisco. He remembered me the second time in Reno because of how tall I am lol. I cried when he died. Never felt that much pain to someone I've only met once but everytime I listened I felt like there was some connection. Wanted to appreciate you guys reviewing this because, like you guys said, this really did bring closure. I personally felt that Swimming was a feel good album, this one was (exactly what Prince said) peaceful. Mac talked about the end a lot (If you listen to his old/other music, you start to connect lines differently that'll blow your mind.)I love this man and I'm sure that all of us are here for the same reason and that's for the love we all had for this man. I hope he found what he was looking for. 💛

The song "Everybody" is a cover of the song "Everybody's gotta live" by Arthur Lee (from Love). Check the original. It's some old bluesy rock from the 60's and Mac does the song justice
i like to think about the "good news" chorus, as him not wanting to get others sad and down by the fact that he wasn't doing too good. you could relate it back to the "truth don't sound like the truth" bar too. good news, good news, Thats all they want to hear bc he didnt want his loved ones to see how much he was really struggling. bang on Nick, that's exactly what it is. People ask you how you're doing, and get sick of you not saying you are doing well. I think these guys missed that bar by thinking it was "Good News Thats All I Want To Hear" but that's understandable on first listen haha. But great to see someone completely get what that line meant.

I struggle massively with depression and being a huge fan, when he passed it only made it worse because of that relatability that you form with music. By the way, my favourite song is woods, but the whole album is a masterpiece, and a deserved gift for those who love mac miller. It's so good to see people enjoying this record like I do.

The first swimming reaction I enjoyed was from you guys lol. Can't believe time brought us here again (old fans and new) to listen to his new album, just like a Circle.. As much closure as this album brings to the fans.. I'll always wonder how Mac would've finished the album, I have the originals for Woods and That's On Me, different versions from the album though both are amazing. Once A Day sounded way better with Mac live on the piano.. even after he's gone we're still trying to figure out his genius mind lol. Thank you for this timeless music.. Rest In Paradise 🌊🧭

I was on a snowboarding trip with my best friends when this dropped. It was our 4th or 5th year in a row going on this annual trip. Every year we would absolutely play the fuck out of Mac’s catalog. You better damn well believe circles was played all the way through multiple times this year. We all love him. And we were all so devastated when he passed in 2018. But when he dropped this it was almost like he was brought back to life. Singing from the grave. And it’s such beautiful music. I still argue that Circles and Swimming are their own genre. Rest In Peace Malcom. It’s amazing how many people you affected posthumously with this work of art.
I like both but since they watched the later Mac miller stuff (when he have more knowledge about music and his own ideas) maybe they will find it lower quality, love both tho, thought from a balcony my favorite from that Mac era

Everybody said 'folklore' by Taylor Swift was the album that saved the quarantine... And while I love that album too, Circles was the album that kept me afloat during the pandemic. Masterpiece.

It just all makes sense for me now.. Mac let us know on Swimming that he was struggling, but trying to stay above water and getting better. He then sadly passed in the process (RIP), but he (and also we) knew that it would just be a matter of when and not if, from what he has told countless times himself through his music. This album is Mac telling us "It's alright guys, you can let go now. I am in a better place now, all of this was meant to happen and everything is going to be okay! Cheer up all and stay strong together".. That's at least the vibes I am picking up from it - especially when I heard Hand Me Downs. Might just be trippin' but god damn, I am feeling this so madly.. Sitting here slowly rocking and bopping with my head, just closing my eyes and letting it all sink in! For me, this was the last masterpiece I needed to finish his discography. I have it all now with him. I am so glad we got this album - especially as he is not here anymore. Now I have something for every mood with him, and I am forever thankful for that! Rest easy Mac - you will never be forgotten!

I feel like this project brought me closure from macs passing. Like he left us something beautiful to listen to while he’s gone. I never thought a celebrity death would affect me till I heard he passed and shit literally made me cry. Just the way he expressed his emotions made me feel comfortable to deal with my own personal problems and that I wasn’t the only person dealing with problems. He reminds me a lot of old kid cudi tbh on how different he was compared to everything else that was out at that time. He made me really appreciate music on a other level from not only the lyrics but the instruments producers samples everything that goes on behind it made me look deeper into things and go in to situations differently. Made me grow as a person. Never take life for granted and appreciate it to the fullest. Another album I loved is preachers son by ygtut and cilvia demo by Isaiah rashad 🙏🏻

I struggled for four years with depression and Mac was my light that I needed to get through it. You saying that people dealing with what he talks about felt this the most is so true. Mac passed three days after my 21th birthday and I was listening to swimming when I found out. I cried the whole day because it really felt like a family member had passed.
Mac was the first Celebrity Death that made me tear up and pretty much ruined my year. Because like yall said Mac wasn't like a Celebrity to me, he was like part of the family. His music got me and so many others through alot of shit. It sucks that hes gone man, its still hard to believe. RIP MAC!
