Mac Miller discusses his new album "The Divine Feminine", his relationship with Ariana Grande, being sober, getting his ankles broken by Bone Collector and much more with The Breakfast Club. #BreakfastClub
I love how he's treating charlamagne, doesnt let his bullshit slide but is also still being respectful and keeping it light. Not letting the annoying questions and judgement get to him. What a good dude rest in peace man💖
charlamagnes questions are so bad. They are just annoying, pushing macs buttons trying to get a rise out of him for views. Instead of doing a real interview. Mac obviously wants to speak on real topics but keeps getting dumbed down by the room. Three morons and one artist. This is what you get
Terrance Mcclendon thats the realest comment I’ve ever heard. Honestly he transcended being a white rapper in ways Eminem never did. Most people probably forget he’s white
what a ridiculous generalized statement. have u heard 98% of all black rappers or even 98% of miller's collection of music???? wow!! don't be that person.
khristle floyd LMAO wtf are you talking about?? I was just talking how slow he talks! "Black Rappers"??? Where are you coming from?!? Put your white knight sword down, and slowly back away in shame. hahaha
Charlemagne fucked Mac over back in the day and did an interview with him basically clowning him for being a white rapper, so Mac went into this prepared but Charlemagne changed a lot and they eventually became friends
After the years and years of comments and commentary ive heard about trying to describe mac miller, this is the most accurate depiction of his vision. Thank you man.
Idk why but I was so in love with him, after hearing "swimming" I was ready for his next project and hoping it would get more lofty and jazz. He's got me through some dark times...Rest in heaven Mac
As someone who has a difficult time articulating thoughts/emotions, it boosts my confidence greatly knowing Mac shared the same struggles. On another note, at many points in this interview, I felt like I had a deep understanding of what Mac was trying to say even when he was struggling to find the right words/phrasing. I knew what he was trying to say, but wasn't sure how I would express it either.
God, the Universe and all our ascended masters, ancestors, witches, wiccans, Psychics, Mediums, Prophets etc forseen and send us messages to help save, protect us... Ye who have ears let him hear.
"yA'Ll WanT tO pRAisE hIM wHEn hE DiEs" not everyone paid attention or knew about his music until his death was plastered all over the news and social media. It's not always fake love after people die, sometimes we're just now realizing how great someone was
Glad someone said this. All he stood for was positivity and love, his work should be celebrated and shared. Not held in contempt because people think new fans should have been around sooner.
It’s not even about that, but the fact that so many people flock to these artists when they die, wearing their merch, acting like them, basically trying to be super die hard fans when they wouldn’t have even turned an ear to their work when they were living.
It’s better to appreciate him after death than it is to not appreciate him at all. Besides, I don’t think he’d be too upset to know he’s got some new fans 🙂
I've been on a Mac Miller binge all weekend. Something about him reminds me of my little brother who passed away in 2014 the same way Mac did. They even look alike. The good really do die young. Mac was really something special, just regret not knowing that when he was alive.
My little brother died on sept 1 2019 the same way mac did toomy lil bro hardly even did drugs how u gonna put fentinal in cocaine its like they're trying to kill people im sorry for your loss homie
Aclo Minor www.wcpo.com/miami-township-police-arrest-2-suspects-in-shooting-death-of-khristopher-jordan-ketring?_amp=true I know what it’s like to lose your brother... My brother was shot and killed last June & then on Sep 1, is also the same day I thought I was going to prison over another shooting.
Y'all sitting here talking about how he talks and yes drugs may have a lot to do with it but also he is an artist. He uses words and feeling to produce his art. He probably thinks very deeply and overthinks most things. When you have soo much you want to say especially when you are trying to make the person understand exactly how you feel it can be challenging. I have never done drugs and don't drink or smoke but I do poetry and write music. I find I have a problem communicating effectively sometimes.
I know. I really don't even notice him stuttering or anything like that. Imagine someone questioning you about your life like that. It wouldn't be so easy to just answer all these questions. People just like to hate on the man, but I bet all these people commenting on here aren't as well spoken as he is. They just want to hate because it's what everyone else is doing
Charlemagne: "so is that when you first started hitting it?" Mac: "First of all, don't disrespect my woman like that" Mac genuinely cares for and cherishes Ariana it makes my heart so happy their love is so pure :,)
He was being sarcastic because he picked such a straight forward line and said bars😂😂 hence the triple entendre joke. Love and miss his sense of humor and I’m so thankful for videos like this.
He got to travel the world, make beautiful music, perform all over the world and connect with his audience, always kept his friends close. Experienced being in love very deeply. His music isn’t going anywhere, he lived his life. He was real af. His music stays with us here on earth. Rest In Peace Malcom.
"I don't know about tactics, all I know about is to be real!" Mac is dropping punchlines, having an interview... The thing is that mac also was 100% real. Its like knowing him just from following his career. He's missing
A lot of people are commenting on how slow he talks but it seemed like he had to ease into the rhythm of interviewing. Once he got comfortable and started feeling like he was just having a conversation with a friend, the talking started to flow.
RIP One of the dopest MCs to ever touch a mic. I know you couldn’t beat your demons, but I applaud you for the attempt and the music you made will live forever. Mac and his music helped me at a time when I was going through my own problems and I’ll forever be grateful. 🙌🏾
it's almost been a year since you passed and I still come back to watch these videos of you. You have helped me in ways words can no describe. I love you, Mac. You deserved the world. Rest easy baby.
I literally come from Big Sean's interview and I love the way the both of them were like "Don't disrespect my girl man" and both of them said it to Charlemagne.
it’s crazy how he talks about his views on love and how the album correlates to the changes in the ways he sees love. i just got out of a long term relationship and i feel like i’m going through the same exact phase and it’s just .. reassuring to see that he came out the other side a good person and able to be entirely on his own.. rip mac, i wish more than anything that you were still here man
Mac Miller will forever be in my heart! It’s hard for me to except he isn’t here anymore. My condolences to the Miller family! Thank you the breakfast club for interviewing Mac I love listening to him and his passion!
@@darkpikachux3 big fax and once you're on them you not only have the stuff that made you turn to drugs but the physical and psychological addiction as well
Reading these comments y'all have no idea about who mac Miller is. He has more respect for a culture that's not built for him then your average black rapper. Rap was designed to take black men out the ghetto and give them and their extended families a better life.
Its depressing that mac says hes not on drugs at this point and was gone not long after this interview ☹️😢he really just wanted everyone to be happy without focusing on his own happiness, rip mac miller true legend
U all know what warms my heart? Scrolling down the comments and realizing there is only love expressed to him on there, I love u all, and I love him from the bottom of my heart, I wish we could all hug each other
I wish those perks weren’t fake... shit he was only doing 30’s and he was barely even doing them. Had they not been fake he’d still be alive. Read the arrest docs for the dealer Mac hit up the chick after his dude fell through he ended up getting 2 packs of 10 30mg percs... they found the one pack of the 10 30mgs in his hoody they found the other pack which were the fake ones in his safe and that’s the bag he was in.... point is he wasn’t popping mad pills 💊 he was barely snorting a quarter of a 30 and it seems he had come down a lot. As much as it sucks, if that shit had not been fake he most likely would still be alive.
I was watching this and just laughing along with their jokes and all that and just having fun and then randomly it just hit me that Mac really isn’t here anymore. That shits crazy. Miss you so much man!
I think he doesn't want to talk about faces because that was the time things started to go down the hill with the drugs. Was good music but I like the older and the newer stuff better than listening to faces knowing he was drugged out like hell
Does anyone else come back and rewatch interviews with Mac and feel like he never left? I have never felt such a strong connection to someone I’ve never met. Rest easy ❤❤
The Divine Feminine will always be my favorite album of all time! His music on it was so different filled with inspiration and love and unique, he sounded happy and had such a clear mind at this time. K.I.D.S. & Best Day Ever will always be classics! It really hurts me we’re never going to hear any music from Mac anymore. I went to high school listening to Mac, Wiz, Casey Veggies, Dom K and Curren$y. It sucks and hurts me he had overdosed, and couldn’t fight his inner demons. I wish he had this state of mind when he was in love and inspired. Thank you Mac for all the music and for always keeping it real. You’re in a better place, Rest In Paradise Malcom. RIP Mac Miller 🙏
Fernando Marticorena “no Matter whete life takes me, find me with a smile, pressuring to be happy always laughin like a child, i never thought life could be this sweet, got me smiling from cheek to cheek “
She's a sheep for supporting a guy who battled addiction and beat it and is alive to talk about. OR she's a sheep for admiring a guy who isn't ashamed to be in love and make an album about it. So remind me again who exactly is the sheep again?
For clarification purposes, when an addict is newly clean/sober, it is EXTREMELY common for their speech, memory and other motor skills to be delayed. The brain is literally healing itself and it trying to find its equilibrium again. I’m a recovering addict who works in the behavioral health field, and holds a degree in chemical dependency counseling.
I always find these types of interviews very frustrating to listen to. You can tell Mac wanted to be really honest and thorough with his responses here and because of which he took his time to speak, but these interviewers are constantly chiming in with stupid "funny" comments as if the audience isn't here to listen to what the artist is trying to communicate. Watch the CLIQUE interviews, they are much more tolerable and elaborate and feel more like real conversations.
Love this guy. So real and okay in his own skin. Miss him a lot I felt like I knew him even though we never met. Loved making people smile and laugh and his music saved a lot of people. Reminds me a little of post.
Crazy but not crazy how everyone is NOW calling him a king and looking to watch his interviews, checking for him now. People loveeeeeee doing this when someone dies but don't give that same praise to them when they were alive
I don't want no one to tell me " when u dead ill miss u," hey don't talk about death to me jus say "I miss u, see later, love you, ur a good a friend,"
Couldn't help but smile watching this. Mac's smile and personality was so contagious. Never gonna be replicated, we lost a legend and a great soul. Rest in Paradise Malcolm🙌❤
In sooo many interviews Angela just gets her questions ignored and never even manages to finish her questions before being cut off, Mac is so sweet he literally makes a point of responding to her and acknowledging her speaking. You can tell he's just a cool guy
Can’t believe he’s gone man I use to listen to his stuff back in high school. We’re literally the same age too same year but different month. Rest In Peace man
Grew up on this guys music, first concert was his. Havent watched his interviews since he passed because it was too sad. Hearing his voice and his creativity again makes me wanna cry bro this guy was progressing forward 😭
It’s such a sad thought that he was only gonna try to get a lil buzz and write some shit, he was excited about touring for all of us but that lil buzz took his beautiful life from us, we all gon be with you one day big guy, huge huge huge musical inspiration
Like wtf. I’ve listened to his songs since 2010 and I’ve just been laying in my room and seeing how much i relate to his shii. He is truly the best at doing what he does
Macs true creative artistry came from his showing his fans that ppl and artists can be more than just one thing. To be human is to be a contradiction, to be a contradiction is to be a human. Whatever u feel at this time... let it sink in and experience all of life. Good or bad.
For sure. Its hard being the person whose misunderstood. Possibly why he had so much built up in side him.. scared to speak to people due to this kind of reaction. Im the same damn way... it sucks.
Has always been such a legend, he makes you feel so good about yourself. He has most defiantly helped me with my addictions 100%, wish you were here brother. That one time i met you i will never ever forget. Gone way too soon, and will never be forgotten. R.I.P Malcolm James McCormick- AKA Mac Miller
