Mac's FACES mixtape dropped on streaming services, and his family have added this bonus track to it, with relatively little fanfare. You guys on Twitter told me I needed to hear it, and you were (as you so often are) VERY CORRECT. I can't believe how amazing this is.

Mac has thousands upon thousands of unreleased tracks, I really don’t think enough people understand how creative of a producer and musician he was, he played guitar, bass, keys, and drums. Most of Faces and a lot of his music was self produced. And he made Faces when he was only 22. Just incredible. Jon you’re absolutely right that he had unlimited potential with where his music was heading, tracks like this and funeral, objects in the mirror, and what was on Swimming/circles and Divine Feminine was just the start.

I love how Mac Miller’s estate has been incredibly careful with how they release his music and maintain his legacy. Very few posthumous features, only 2 that I know of and both are excellent (Young Thug track and that joint with dvsn and Ty Dolla $ign), obviously Circles was amazing and now we have this track which is just next level.

The way Mac uses his vocals as a instrument is legendary. I don’t know anyone who has done it better than Mac did it. He does it in so many different ways and creatively. I think he was our generations Bob Dylan.

I listened to the presentation they had prior to releasing it and the visuals were amazingly picked and fit the songs so well. And the fact Grand Finale played the second it hit midnight at the release was crazy, and then they had this song play as the main finale. It was a whole journey and I loved it.

Oh god! I was late to Mac Miller as I’m 41 and was just busy with kids etc my music taste is from James Taylor, Beyoncé, chic to Eminem so I knew I’d get there. Mac breaks me every time! Yo john! I’m 27 from Swindon. I’ve been listening to Mac for 10+ years, when he died it felt like I lost a best friend, his music connects to me like nothing else I’ve ever experienced in my life. He was a god. his musical genius and his love for life is infectious I’m so glad you can understand and have that perspective. a version this leaked a while ago titled ‘8:21AM’ and i’m so happy it got a full release as ‘Yeah’. not only has it had the clarity added from a master, but his team have added more elements which just completed what i’m now assuming was a demo. plus, there is hope that the other leaks could be fully released someday with these “finishing touches” included!!

I play this song, turn the music up and drive. I always start off whispering the words but as soon as it hits "Am I alive" I literally am screaming the lyrics at the top of my lungs. This is one of the only cathartic experiences I can have regarding anger or sadness and letting go or dealing with it. I'll always treasure the music he made. I feel like just like you i discovered him two weeks befor he left and was and still am, heartbroken by it. best song this year... you are 100% right... what makes that statement better... this song leaked in 2019 under the name 8:21 a.m. and was recorded around 2014/2015.. (you can hear the similar style to his song Perfect Circle/God Speed from Good AM that dropped in 2015). That's how timeless his music is; that THIS song is over half a decade old and still could be song of the year contender.

Since then i’ve watched probably all of your videos and joined the patreon. Just Mac bringing people together, as usual. Have you considered doing a reaction to KIDS? I always think back to the day I heard the first song from him and since that day I am 100% sure I will listen to his songs for the rest of my life. i feel like the great apart of mac & why so many love him & feel connected to him is because of how vulnerable he is with his music. he talks about his addiction,depression, and dark times & a lot of people can relate to this . it makes us know that we aren’t the only ones feeling this way . rip mac, we miss you .

I have been following Mac since nikes on my feet days and la la la, it was crazy to see the progression he made as a person and artist. And I can still get songs like this that I haven't heard before. I hope he wins some awards since faces got rereleased! RIP Mac
