Mac OS X TTS (Text-To-Speech) Voices 

Because it’s asked constantly: These voices are part of the Mac OS system. It’s not a program or a website. It’s literally built into a Mac’s operating system. You can not download these to use in Windows. Hopefully a pinned comment will help.

1:18 - Albert. Used in: Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne ('Singer'). 3:11 - Whisper. Used in: No More Heroes (Boss Announcer). 1:41 - Bahh. Used in: Papers Please (Dialogue). 1:08 - Ralph. Used in: Wall-E (Auto). 1:55 - Boing. Used in: Castle Crashers (Painter) & Killer 7. 5:28 - Daniel. Used in: A lot of things.

Whisper is used in No More Heroes, Seriel Experiments Lain, and Blinx the Timesweeper. Boing, Whisper, and a handful more were all used in Killer 7.

I used to play with those TTS voices all the time when I was a kid, at around the same time that this video was uploaded. My first computer was a MacBook Air, but my parents restricted Safari, so I made do with what I had. That line from Alex is such a throwback to my childhood.

For those of you that have a hard time wondering what the apple voices are saying in the main combo box: Agens: Isn't it nice to have a computer that will talk to you? It's really cool that these voices I also featured in some video games. Bullet hell games for example. You hear some mac voices in games like Aero fighters or psyvariar.

Those voices bring back so many memories.

i enjoy these more than what we have today. they embrace their robotic voices while the modern ones try to imitatw what they aren't

I love the "Boing" voice, I litirally spent a long time finding something that has it, as it is the voice of the Painter boss in Castle Crashers

The voice Trinods reminds me of something that I used to play as a kid, on PBS there was a game where you could play the games on Arthur back in the early 2000s (I think I was about 7 or 8 at the time so it must have been 2011 or 2012) but there was this game that was by Buster which had to do with Aliens. The text to speech voice had Trinods as that exact voice whenever you would select parts for designs.

Victoria was always my favorite voice. She must've read dozens of books for me.

I'm so glad that these are still in the modern MacOS. Even though they've done away with all the cool graphics they still have these voices.

Fun fact: the Indonesian one can actually pronounce English with funny British accent, with some words not recognized as English (therefore not pronounced with English pronunciation).

I remember my elementary school had KidPix 3D on it and I used to mess around with the voices on it. I didn’t know they were built into the Mac itself!

In middle school I guess I was the only kid that knew how to set this up. I snuck into the library when it was empty one day set up different voices for all 40 or so computers in there. Nobody knew how to turn it off and they had to get the IT guys in there.
