Thanks yeah the support guy who I was on a shared desktop session last night said everything was working as it should and the speeds were good, and same thing you mentioned about no need to use SMB multichannel.

The SMB is mostly felt for those who bought the double 2.5Gb Ethernet connection. For aggregation purposes.

More speed -> SMB Multichannel, More bandwidth -> LACP. Both REQUIRE Multiple ethernet connections. You will need to enable or add a NIC with more than 1 channel to take advantage of multilink protocols. Your switch must also have LACP protocols available, and managed, in order to use it. SMB Multi does not require a capable switch, just capable hardware and OS.

Which model? I see one that takes 5 NVMe and has thunderbolt ports, very interesting.

Thanks had a feeling it could be the McFiver as I have seen others say they were not getting full 10GbE speeds but I think the speeds are pretty good. Others in the comments have some other ideas as well as to tweaks or more hardware. It’s still faster than 2.5GbE when editing videos so far, I haven’t gotten close to maxing out the speed but I need to try some 4K pro res files

I have the Sonnet McFiver it gets almost 3000MBs on a single NVMe but you can raid two together and get 5000MBs but I use it for a boot drive and a second 2 Terabyte for a project drive.

I’m connected directly to the Sonnet Mcfiver or so not on a switch Mac networks set to Jumbo 9000 full duplex flow control

I just bought the xeon e5 v2 1660 3.7 ghz. 4.0 turbo cpu from ebay from 90$,and the samsung 980 Pro 2 tb with heatsink,for my Trash can Upgrade,my goal here was to hit 1500 plus read,parts are almost here,,You know everything about mac pros,heres what i think will be my Black magic speed test results,All tell you later what these parts pulled.I think all get 1395 write...and 1520 read,with the 1660 v2,and the 980 pro 2tb. 64 gbs ram twin 700 fire pro gpus.6 core cpu..Sintech full length adaptor..OWC 1866mgz memory.This is my formula for 1500.s...lmao..its ginna work 100%..lmao.An Intel tech said that the 1660 ghz 6 core cpu,is the 2nd fastest 6 core cpu they,ve ever tested..That was all i needed to here..its the most expensive 1 you can get for the Trash can..good deal for 90$.Went with 980 pro because im going to buy my 1st gaming gigg..ps5...UFC...lol..The 1660 3.7 will be Perfect i think...Do you know anything about the xeon v2 1660 ghz cpu?it,s unlocked like the 1680..But much higher clock speed.I think its ginna be better, than the 1680..3.0 ghz.I have the 2667 3.3 8core cpu on its way too...lol..8 core. 40$. just in case...lol.I want a Good gaming gigg.All use Bootcamp...windows 10 with crossfire..Should be Good!.Ginna change the paste,on the 700,s too,Mine was a 2013 model,Not made in like 2018 type thing..That pastes is dried right the $# out!..lol..43" 4k Roku Monitor....Works Good..I ginna go with the Aura Pro harmon kardon best buy..400$ bluetooth Speaker!....lmao....Bruce Buffer be like ITS Time!..On Bluetooth Loud!...lmao....I play Tama Drums.
