Are there any issues with the fact that when you vacuum an older system, where the hoses are not really new, and they collapse from this vacuum, that they are - "damaged"? I'm asking, do we shorten the life of the hoses? Or do we hear that hours, days, weeks later, one of the hoses let go, or cracked, or in any way was rendered non-functional, due to this reverse pressure vacuum fill?
But the coolant system is now LOADED with air! The clear demo setup shows that perfectly. You pull the hose, put the new one on, turn the Venturi off and now the lines are all loaded with air.
Could you use this same jig to demonstrate a vacuum cooling system refiller. To show how it leaves absolutely no air pockets when you refill the system
These are great in theory, but what can happen sometimes is with longer runs of hose, the center will collapse completely and pinch off the vacuum. So now the system is only partially or unevenly evacuated. Then once the valve is opened to refill the system, there isn't adequate vacuum in the system to completely refill so you're left with a partially full system which completely undermines the point.
Easily with the right fittings and a pressure regulator. You need airflow (CFM) not pressure. Regulate the output to a lower pressure and you get more airflow. That line can easily support that much airflow...
With all the money mac charges, you think they would put in an investment of getting actual engines on a crate dolly with a radiator, over flow tanks/tanks etc. Show an example on a V8 engine on a dolly engine stand on how it is done. Then in next chapter, just do the same things, but not on some little pipe set-up. You want to step-up in the industry & contend with Snap-On, you gotta give better presentations, more realistic scenarios.
I hate how the guy doesn't seem to understand how the tool works inside the system...like you don't think you can do a water pump? How did you make it then? They should have just made an evacuator for the system so you can put clean coolant with no debris in a clean bucket the refill with vacuum filler...but I mean we are just the guys who would use the tool right? What do we know 😂 mechanics for the win.
