00:00 - To make macaroni and cheese, start with cream cheese. Put a large saucepan on the fire and melt the butter; sift the flour, add it and mix to obtain a golden cream. Now pour in the milk, mix well and cook over low heat until you have a creamy and homogeneous mixture; finally, add pepper and salt to your liking.
01:05 - Grate the cheese and add it to the pan, stirring until it melts.
01:35 - Meanwhile, boil the pasta in plenty of salted water. However, I recommend: leave the macaroni al dente, which means that you will have to stop cooking 2-3 minutes before the time indicated on the package.
02:26 - Drain the pasta and put it directly into the pan with the cheese sauce; also add the grated Parmesan cheese (except for a few spoonfuls that you will keep aside) and mix everything well, then take a non-stick pan and transfer the pasta into it. Level the surface well and distribute the remaining grated Parmesan over it.
03:12 - And now the cooking: cook under the grill of the oven at 250° for about 10 minutes, until a golden crust forms. Once the necessary time has elapsed, take your macaroni cheese out of the oven, wait 10 minutes for it to settle and… enjoy your meal!
