In the desert, this is the “quiet” season. Many of my plants shut down or die. And yes, shade cloths are essential, as well as tons of mulch. So I would not judge this garden without seeing it in all seasons. Also, the garden reflects the gardener. She has her own loves, goals, and ways. Good job, Pam!

I just put two and two together. This is Pam, Jake Mace’s ex-wife. She’s beautiful! I wish her continued success. Great video.

I liked Pamela's statement about success not being a straight line. Owning your failures is a true sign of a successful, goal oriented person living a full life and being comfortable in thier own skin.

LMAO John shooting his shot at the end 😂! These two seem to have similar serious goals in life for sure.

Kudos to BOTH Pam and Jake for all your hard work in creating this beautiful food forest oasis. You've both inspired us and so many people to try this. We should stop comparing the garden to the past and celebrate the new directions and goals demonstrated in the garden. Great job! Thanks for letting us see the beloved Longevity Gardens, Pam (and John)!! :)

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had issues with Fungus this year in Phoenix, it was really bad this year, I used tea tree oil spray with neem and removed all infected leaves. Been working so far, but lost my mulberry sadly 😭

The garden looks beautiful! Love Pamela's idea of opening up to the community! There is a need for growing at home and as a community! I always speak about this to my husband! Our neighborhoods and cities could be thriving in true abundance if the landscape was edible most of the year around, depending on the climate! I watch videos of greens being grown in Canada during sub zero temps, a man in Nebraska has a geothermal green home growing tropical fruits and flowers all year around, it can be done all year around if we could all desire it more! Thank you both for the knowledge and inspiration!

Hi John, thanks for highlighting the Longevity Garden again. I miss seeing this garden. I miss seeing the bountiful harvest of this garden before, especially the citruses 🍊, moringa, etc.

Pam looks amazing and she is doing the best she can by herself keeping everything they had living. Some plants takes a lot of work more than is worth. Don't be so harsh on her. It was him that decided he didn't want the marriage.

I know how she feels. When you work a regular 9 to 5 job, it's really hard to keep this kind of garden up without going crazy. When I was out of work for about 3 years I started gardening and on half an acre and I grew a lot. When I finally got a job, keeping up with the garden became so time consuming that I had to scale back, a lot.

That is the same "word" I am trying to get out there on our channel; MOST of our Foods in the stores are being, "Treated with radiation/Treated by irradiation", and there are many other new Terms for the same thing, one is Electronic Pasteurization, the issue is, the foods lose Vitamins, enzymes and other nutrients that we all need, this is also done so foods will have longer shelf life. SO WE ALL MUST GROW SOMETHING, to get that needed "stuff" in our bodies. THANK YOU JOHN!!!!! Love watching all your videos, Robbie, and Gary too

Never saw this video before. I love Pamela's honesty. She speaks from experience now. As a nearly 30 yr gardener--the majority of those yrs here in AZ--I have relearned these lessons over & over & over again. There are certain things that grow well there. There are other things that you can create the right climate to succeed with. Then there are marginal plants...and failure plants. I rarely grow the latter two anymore. As John says, (largely) grow what is easy :)
