Join us as we get some shop work done. MacGyver was showing off his homemade wood splitter and Nate was getting stuff done in record time like he always does. Enjoy
The part where MacGyver started singing the Wizard of Oz song had me laughing so hard. Dude is pretty awesome. Also Nate is an absolute gem of a find for you and your business.
Hello Ryan sir from the 🇬🇧 you no sir its not a charity its your life you have a family to sir respect your division . As we say in uk don't bite the hand that feeds you .
MacGyver needs his own channel. He's just one of those guys who you can ask anything and he'll give an interesting and insightful answer. Sharp as a tack.
Nate seems to know what he is doing. Wow such a smart kido indeed. Hopefully you keep him around for along time seems to be a great asset for your company.
I'm impressed by his overall knowledge of mechanics on different pieces of equipment, along with motor vehicles....especially being as young as he is appears.
Mcgyver is hilarious and interesting guy. Smart, too. It's always nice to support small businesses and save money when something is as good as new. I'm looking forward to the concrete season 😀
Nate is totally awesome! Also MacGyver has to be one of the most talented guys I’ve ever seen. The fact that he built that wood splitter from scrap just blows my mind. As a man I would be a kid in a candy store hanging out with you guys. So much cool stuff to do and see.
I love how excited MacGyver gets when he is talking about the things he built, its like the same excitement you get when the concrete truck pulls up on the job
What a great video Ryan. It must be a tremendous encouragement to see all of that concrete equipment repaired, serviced and ready for the new concrete season! Nate really gets things done and knows how to navigate through problems and set-backs that happen when working on machinery and equipment. Nate was the man reason why you are nearly 100% prepared for the start of concrete season. He is a great kid! Also, your neighbor MacGyver is a gem! I love that guy. His personality and energy just lights up the whole shop and he has a wealth of practical engineering and mechanical knowledge that is nice to have access available. Cannot wait to hear: “Concretes Here!”
You have to love McGyver's wood splitter. There isn't a better log splitter you can buy anywhere, because that is 100% home grown ingenuity. Made 100% from scrap, and cobbled together into a very respectable machine. That excites me better than a brand new shiny one from a corporation any day.
Nate is very knowledgeable and capable with all things mechanical/electrical. You hired a great hand in that young man! He's got mad skills! Making yourself look great Nate with your exceptional work ethic! Nothing short of Victory Style!
It's great to see you smile and hear you laugh, Ryan. MacGyver is quite the character and SO smart. He was the kid that would take apart everything and put them back together. It's great to see his accomplishment of getting that wood splitter going. So clever! Nathan is a great addition to your team, Ryan. I know the other guys would really like him. Hopefully he can come out and do some concrete with the crew. That'd be fun. He's a very capable, smart and talented young man with mechanics! He has such a great sense of humour too. The three of you seemed to be having a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to this new season. It'll be awesome to see the crew again! I don't recall what the new guy's name is, but he'll fit in just fine I'm sure. I wish you every success and countless blessings. I wish everyone who reads this the same! Heather🇨🇦
I watch your videos every night after work. I’ve been working in concrete for 4 years now and I absolutely love it. I’m 23 from Ontario, Canada. I just watched a video from 7 months ago, was a big job, stairs, sidewalk, garage and driveway, in the morning when you all met at the shop, bugs was asking you to do the stairs because he hasn’t done a set all year and was so excited saying he couldn’t sleep the night before. I just finished my first side job of the year and slept probably less than 2 hours on pour day because I was just so excited. Anyways it was really cool to see someone who’s so experienced still get excited the same way I get excited about concrete. Thanks guys. I love watching these videos. Much love from Canada!!
Nice to see the prep-work before your season starts. It's sweet to have Nate the Great taking care of things! Can't wait to see concrete on the ground!
It’s been a horrible morning but now I can move forward and make the best of it. I have no clue about concrete being a sewer guy but man your vids are awesome
Always Great to see Nate and MacGyver in Action. Awesome video like always. Hire Nate Full Time makes a Great Addition every time to the videos. Stay Safe ❤
Always pause the video and make coffee before I start watching. Hiring Nate for your mechanical work is money well spent. Ryan please give MacGyver a Victory hat.
Loved hearing Nate the Great say he did a bag pour for his job all by himself. I did the same for sections of a curvy sidewalk for my place. It was Go-Go-Go the entire time. Now from watching your channel, I see many things that would have made it better and way eeeeasier. Being from next door in Minny and all the current warm weather, I knew "Concrete's Here!!" is just days away.
When y'all begin the season, it's going to be very impressive to see all the newly wrapped trucks roll up on a job! Great advertising as well! Good job Ryan ,👍
I know this is your life and you aren't just putting on a show, but MacGyver was a great addition to the "show". With Daryl leaving, having someone else quirky and interesting to keep us entertained is awesome! MacGyver seems like a great, honest, smart guy. Would love to hang out in the shop with him! haha
good morning from the Pocono mountains !! spring as sprung ,,and a taste of summer too soon ,,was 93 today ,,ouch ..but great job nate !! have a great week sir adios !!
Really greatfull that u got all your equipment up and runin before the season started! It all worked out, perfect timing!.... I'll tell you Ryan, God has a plan! And you are In it! Like John " Hannibal" Smith always says on that A-team show,.... " I love it when a plan comes together".....
Thank you for the great video Ryan! I'm not in construction at all, but I am a software developer and really enjoy starting my Friday's with your videos first thing in the morning. Can't wait for the concrete season to start up. Keep up the good work and keep up the inspiration for us all.
Isn't it rather intriguing, that a software developer gets hooked on a channel, that's mostly about concrete. Now take "software developer" out of that sentence, and replace it with all the different subscribers of this channel, and what they do for a living. That's the impressive thing about this channel....Me? I'm from the collision repair industry, and I had no interest in concrete whatsoever, yet here I am. 😊
A whiteboard to The Shop with a list of items for Nate to complete. Once Nate has finished the job he can strike through that item. Keep you updated whether he is there or not. Just a thought
The best money I have spent on saving batteries is a low voltage cut off switch they are super simple to install Nate can do it no problem. Always take batteries out if you don't drive it in winter and never lay batteries on concrete :) love the channel just some friendly advice take care can't wait to see this season!
I for one want to see you take that balcony job! That sounds like a whole series of videos. I bet that would be a nice start to getting the funds for the new spot as well..
Really hope nate comes along every now and then to help out with concrete. Hopefully In the future when you build up your land you can hire him full time.
What would be awesome is if Nate rented out one of the spots on the new property when they are built, that way he would always be there, but still do his own thing when Ryan doesn't have work for him. Ryan is always building people up around him and that would be pretty cool to see.
Rule No.1 in business. Never say No to business. Say Yes and then work out how you can do it later...You could set up a workshop for customers so Nates permanently working for you. That guy is a real asset to you and has the potential to make you EASY MONEY!!!!
The batteries are not bad. You need an old school charger that puts out charge no matter what. Your new school charger needs to sense a battery to charge. Manual charger at 10amps for like 6 hours will recover them.
Yes! This is the second video where I've said the same. They're just going to charge his old batteries and sell them to the next guy! Nobody seems to realize this.
Love your videos. I am from the netherlands and found your channel a couple of days ago and i cant stop watching. Keep doing what you do, its awesome to watch. Greetings. jeff
No one can make fun of MacGyvers invention. Its so awesome for one , and for two 99.9% of humans couldnt come close to building something like that wood spliter.
Thanks to you, and Mike Haduck (a RU-vid mason), I have been motivated to take on the pouring of my own footer to support a 24” tall wall, 50’ X 6’ rectangle to be used as a garden box for my wife. Thanks to you guys, I was able to make her extremely happy, and you know what they say: “Happy wife, happy life”!
Love the video. MacGyver is fun to be around with, and Nate is a cool kid. Makes you look so serious Ryan. I love your videos. I can’t wait to see you guys back in action.
Ryan, you need to make it a policy that the person who uses the Buggy has to wipe it down. It needs a good cleaning, so it can look like the rest of your equipment! Nice work on the rest of your equipment by the way. Home owners would be proud to have it around their place. Best advertisement you can possibly have.
Cool video Ryan. I've been doing this concrete dance for a little over 30 years. Change your life and get 1 or 2 barn scrapers with the reversible blade. Farm and Fleet typically has them. Started using them back when we only had rear discharge trucks... Never quit. Total timesaver! The time cleaning the street will be cut in half or even a little less. After doing the old "canoe crew" pouring footings, you're definitely beat and don't want cleaning the road to take forever.
Looks like Nate is fitting in very nicely. He knows what he is doing. Now you need to get him a go-pro mount and let him get you some footage from inside the winter shop to add to your videos. You show the things you do to the equipment and Nate could be doing the same while he is working. More content for your channel couldn't hurt.
Always nice to see people who keep their work equipement in good condition see too many work trucks that look like they should not even be on the road let alone be used on a work site
There are aftermarket headlights for the 99-03 trucks in the same style. You can also upgrade to the 04-07 headlights by doing some simple trimming to the header panel behind the headlights.
Truly admire how you keep putting money back into your company. Equipment maintenance is a sign of being prepared. Not waiting till it breaks on the job site.
Maaaan I love the f350 she’s such a good looking truck now to match how good of a truck it is! Time to update the front end to the 05-07 style next winter
Man I cannot wait for the season to start, I love watching all your videos. It is crazy how satisfying it is to watch concrete being poured and finished.
