This is a mix made by myself of the first opening gambit scene in the Pilot of Macgyver (1985). I call it a silent mix as I have removed Macgyver voiceover sections, dialogue, gunshots, and the flare gun explosion. This way, the quieter sound effects can be heard, and allows Randy Edelman's compositions to shine on their own merits.

Movies/series like this, made us best childs, best persons. Knight Rider, A Team, MacGyver... Its wasnt make series as this today. LOVE 80s!!!

"When I was a kid"....I remember hearing this melody in my head every time I was using a cheap chinese, imitation of SAK. Every tightening the screw with it was like defusing a bomb.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm working on some new mix videos and just released a "Silent Macgyver" compilation of all the music in the MacGyver pilot episode. The Person of Interest Season 5 unofficial OST mixes I have recently put out are not as demanding production wise, so there will probably be more of those uploads in the next month or so. I do plan to make more Silent Macgyver mixes in the future, it just might take some time depending on IRL (actual) responsibilities and my corresponding free time.

Don't see why they couldn't have done the Blu-ray so that you could listen the music only like they have done with the Space:1999 Blu-rays

For Silent Macgyver, I'm thinking of working my way through the series in a fairly chronological order, but those episodes definitely make good candidates! I'm in the middle of Season 2 on a rewatch via the new Blu-Ray set, which looks amazing as the show is restored from the original film and is therefore much better looking then the old DVDs. I will pay special attention to Widowmaker and Kill Zone once I get to Season 3.
