I can’t listen to Hotel Diablo without getting emotional. MGK really open his heart in this album which is very hard to do. I hope him and his father will find closure before his father pass away.
@abhi reddy, I didn't like him to begin with, mainly because my dad used to listen to him (I didn't trust his taste in music), but 2 months after the beef, I gave Kelly a chance. I can say that I don't regret my choice to listen to him... this coming from someone who would listen to absolutely no one but Eminem a mere 2 or 3 years ago.
I dont think they hate his music. They hate when he makes music exploiting and faming drugs like he did in his last album. It had zero substance and was one of the worst albums of all time.
Hotel Diablo is by far the most raw and emotional album. Everything he says is so real and raw, it’s insanely amazing❤️ If you say you’ve listened to all the songs and not one made you cry.... you’re lying

He's stuck. He usually either has generic/surface lyrics and a great beat or decent, explorative lyrics that don't really sink into complexity fully or dive into a rich theme. Unfortunately, the former already has many great players: Drake, Travis, Post Malone, Swae Lee, etc. The latter also has more skilled adversaries in the market: Kendrick, Cole, Denzel, Lupe, etc. That usually leaves him in a spot that's still niche but that contains other similar artists like Macklemore, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, etc. He's neither bad, nor amazing. He just is... there!

He's obviously not producing these songs for attention or an attempt to get easy advertising money, just look at the views, stupidly low in comparison. This album is honest articulation of feeling, and it appears that was his intention, a true showing of maturation of artistry.
bad thing about old mgk being back means he is prob stuggling with drugs, it was the same with eminem, his old style left with the drugs but we never got it back because he stayed clean, i just hope mgk makes it through....

Binge was a rushed project because the Eminem beef was EVERYWHERE. I can only imagine how much the higher ups on MGKs team were pushing him to release a project to try and capitalize profits; however, he should have taken his time and released this LP and it would have much more attention than it does now.
@@rekai6209 Eminem released Kamikaze as a surprise. Took his time after rap devil for Killshot... mgk rushed binge and I just always figured he didn't make that decision. If it were me, I would have take my time (like I said in my previous response) and released hotel Diablo; or I would have responded to Eminem/and or put a fire single out to keep people interested and on their toes waiting for the LP.

I've already listened to your new album several times, I love it. My husband says I'm unique because I can always feel how others feel. Each song has a different story but they all link together. I could feel pain, loss, regret, disappointment. Set all those feelings aside, this is still the absolute best album you have ever dropped and that's because of the emotion you put into it. This entire album reminds me of the struggles I endured after my dad committed Suicide.... I fell into addiction, and drinking heavily but I’m very appreciative of this music and a lot of other artists as well for the light that has in a sense been shined. 🙏❤️
