Machine Head circa 2007-2008 was truly something fierce. They had gone from nearly ending the band to the greatest metal album of all time. That kind of hunger can make 4 men rip every person a new asshole in a 100k crowd.
Dude my very first concert ever was machine head opening up for lamb of god in early 2007. I'm so grateful I got to see machine head before Rob Flynn burned the band down (again)
@@momobungle2366 As much as I loved that era of Machine Head (The Blackening is still my favorite album) and I'm incredibly glad that was the first time I saw them live as well, I have to admit the most recent album was incredible. Robb seems to have found a great resurgence with having Jared MacEachern in the band and I'm still consistently giving Of Kingdom and Crown regular listens.
They definitely did, I still remember being sat outside the campsite gates before they opened on the Wednesday and people were already chanting Machine Fucking Head while waiting to get in, and that was like a full 72 hours BEFORE they were due to play 😂
This is hands down the best lineup this band has ever had. Nothing against the current lineup, they still kick ass. But man, these guys were a fucking force. The Blackening is still a record I listen to on repeat 🤟
Mayhem Festival 2008 in Phoenix. When they took the stage starting with "Clenching the Fists of Dissent" that pit just went off with me smack dab in the middle of it. It was awesome.
I saw this song at WEMBLEY fucking STADIUM, just before I saw Metallica. And the weird thing is, Machine Head were not even meant to be there, they came in because another band (cant remember who) couldnt make it, so guess who was completely mental when this song came on.
Machine head is the only band i know where the lows are lows as fuck with there wannabe nu metal schtick around the late 90s-early 00s and catharsis. then the awesome highs with the blackening, locust and most from TTAOE like this great song.
I'm a huge fan of Machine Head, and always said that besides, Lamb of God, Gojira and Meshuggah are the new big four, but I have to said this, and nothing against Matt, Vogg and Jared, but the Machine Head heavy as fuck it's this line up, Flynn, Demmel, Duce and McClain ...... this song its just killer as hell.....
