In this video I am showing you the new feature that was just released in Power Automate Desktop called Machine registration. It is going to replace the need to use on-premises data gateways to trigger RPA bots on specific machines.

Did I understand correctly that the machine tab is displayed, there must be a Premium ID? With the free version, can’t connect a machine to the cloud and share desktop work with others?

Hi, i have a doubt. There are 2 power automate attended RPA license ids set up in 2 user Remote desktop logins. For the same machine in the environment, can 2 different user credentials be used to create 2 connections in cloud? One user credential gets connected and the other throws error. Even machine runtime app is not opening for 2nd user- says another instance is running

Be sure to share the machine with another account. But basically yes - a machine can be reused by more than one account in the same environment.

Nice informative video. Recently Hosted RPA bots introduced. What are differences in between machine group vs Hosted RPA bots ?

Machine group is used for orchestration. You can add many existing machines to a group and cloud than decides which available machine to use for a process from queue. Hosted RPA tech. is dynamically provisioning a VM in Azure using a given image. So in the end it dynamically scales up as per the needs. With machine groups you have a static list of available machines.

only thing missing so far is your Power intro music and animations ;-) ... seriously, if you are using camtasia, look to put in the index feature (see april dunnam's videos to see that feature in action) as you will want the ability to have your viewers quickly go back to key areas. (separate comment coming on the content :-))

thanks, great work. My Power Automate Desktop doesn't show Machine Tab on Settings. What is the reason?

Also, I recall there was an option when I was installing new version the first time with label asking if you plan to run unattended bots on that machine. I think without selecting it this feature won't show up. Try to re-install in such case.

Are you sure you are using the premium version of the application? Also, do you have Windows Pro or Enterprise?

Now this is managed by the new application, installed together with PAD: Power Automate machine runtime. However it can only be used by an account with local admin permissions.
