I like your DI holder. I spent hours making a holder for my height gage. I have plenty of other items that I did not spend that time on. Good Channel.

I'm missing how you got the ID? Its relying on the OD measurement? And it is assuming the ID is concentric with the OD, correct? Is there any way to use a non-digital height gauge and a dial test indicator to pick up both walls of the ID hole, and measure its diameter and/or center position directly?

In this case I knew it was concentric. There are ways you could determine concentricity by taking measurements around the part, or by indexing the part and using a test indicator. I’m sure with a little imagination there are plenty of ways to tackle this using a surface place and related instruments.
