I don’t know how to make 800k disks, so what I just did today is ordered on eBay one of Apple’s “Super Drives” for my SE so I can work with the more standard 1.44 MB floppies, but I will still have the ability to read 800k disks if I happen to get my hands on any

Hey man! Thanks for watching!! The SE has been going strong so far so I decided to wait a little longer since I have more pressing issues rn. I have to recap it soon though. An Apple //c restoration video might come out in a couple weeks. I want to get that machine up and running again since I can’t use it at all at the moment. This week I should be releasing a video about the 2021 MBP vs. the 2006 MBP and next week/in 2 weeks I’ll be releasing a video about the 1999 21’’ Apple Studio Display (CRT). Je hebt al een nice verzameling, verzamel je ook oude spelcomputers? Tijdje geleden heb ik een complete Macintosh LC630 gekocht, was goedkoop en wou altijd al een oude computer. Deze specifieke Macintosh wil ik ook graag hebben, hoeft niet persé een SE te zijn, maar dat modelletje zeg maar.
Sorry voor het late antwoord!! Ik heb enkele gameconsoles en handhelds-> PS1, GameCube, 3 OG Gameboys + had ooit twee Nintendo Game & Watch modellen met de verpakking. Als je voor een compact Mac gaat (‘’dit modelletje’’) moet je weten dat alles boven de SE/30 (SE/30, Classic, Classic II, Color Classic) nieuwe caps zal nodig hebben en ze zijn niet makkelijk te vervangen -> SMD condensators. De originele Mac, de Plus en SE zijn iets makkelijker te onderhouden en gaan meestal langer mee ookal zijn de caps niet vervangen. Je zult de caps wel moeten vervangen op een bepaald moment maar ze zullen langer meegaan zonder een recap en ze zijn makkelijker te repareren. Let ook op met corrosie door lekkende PRAM batterijen of condensators.
Why not drill 4 small holes in the plastic standoffs for the speaker, and you can use course thread screws to hold the speaker in place. Easy to remove and also a finished solution for when you’re completely done.
