Good Video. It sounded much better when used in conjunction with the computer. When you used it with your phone it was very loud noise floor.
@GoWrightReviews
@GoWrightReviews 2 года назад
I actually found it was louder with the camera and lower with the phone. But yes , there is definitely noise there, I didn’t want blame the wireless devices but attribute it to the recording devices. On the PC it was much better as you noted. In either case, it’s common practice to apply noise reduction in post processing. So a small price to pay to have more freedom of movement I guess. I appreciate you watching and giving your feedback 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Can you plug the XLR transmitter into a line level source via XLR or 1/4 adapter instead of a microphone and possibly use the receiver as a wireless iem pack?

What mic should I use for travel? Could you add a link to the mic you were using or a mic you could recommend? How is the battery life and connection? Thank you for your review and testing. What do you prefer? There's also a non XLR transmitter. Do you prefer the lapel mic for the other wireless transmitter? I'm not very good with post sound editing to reduce the noise. I am unsure what quick settings people use. I like the sound better with your lavalier, but I'm not sure what device attachments you used and the audio interface you used. Also, the settings you used and post sound editing techniques you used. Thank you for your thorough content.

Hello! Thank you for watching. I would definitely recommend a lapel microphone for travel in the case you may be vlogging or conducting interviews. They are small and easy to carry around and use. Mackie does have the lav mic version of the wireless bundle but I haven’t had the opportunity to test this version of the product as of yet. As requested, here is a link to a review I did for the lav mic set I was using in this video to conduct the review:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2gpiwGLWv3I.html Here is a link to another video I did explaining how you can do some quick editing to your vocals using premiere pro or audacity: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fcRIsiYnesA.html Hope this helps you out 👍🏾

@@GoWrightReviews some similar must to do other brands. Deity try some similar with xlr transmitter and its deity wireless lavalier. I want more xlr configuration in rode, comica or DJI. Xlr mics are better for field work interviews. I think they sound better.
@GoWrightReviews

I couldn’t agree more. More effort should go into making wireless XLR grade equipment. The results are much preferred over USB or 3.5 mm jack

@@GoWrightReviewsYou're right. Audio customers want this implementation. Brands only think in smaller devices not really good and quality devices.

I saw the manual of this product, and realised there is a volume control on the transmitter. So it can provide extra gain, if our interface can't provide enough?
@GoWrightReviews
@GoWrightReviews 6 месяцев назад
Gives the user control of the gain as you need 👍🏾

Is the noise being caused by the wireless system or is it the mic? I understand I would probably need to do a noise reduction anyway, but it would be a shame if the transmitter is adding noise.
@GoWrightReviews
@GoWrightReviews 2 года назад
The mic itself is actually pretty quiet. I did a test using the mic while connected via XLR and it actually sounds impressive.. there is a possibility that the noise is coming from my camera as well, as the devices were quieter while connected to my smartphone and my PC. It’s something to be aware of. In any case, like you said, quick post processing will completely remove that. It’s something I would do anyway so it’s not a deal breaker in my case. Hope this helps !!

So I think I understood your question after the fact. I would say yes it can be used as a monitor but for me it wasn’t very loud but it could be because I was using large headphones that have a large power draw too. The headphone were plugged directly into the receiver. Hope this answers your question !

@GoWrightReviews
@GoWrightReviews 2 года назад
@@aaronwhitelaw4342 depending on what it connects to I do notice a bit of a hiss sound. But when I connected them to my monitor speakers I didn’t notice anything. If this is for a recording it’s not an issue especially with noise reduction in post production. It works quite well.

Yes, this does work with other xlr microphones that do not require 48v of phantom power. So it does not have to be mated with Mackie branded products only. 👍🏾

How bad/good is the latency?
@GoWrightReviews
@GoWrightReviews 2 года назад
Hi! In what sense ?
@pagpapaitim
@pagpapaitim 2 года назад
@@GoWrightReviews since i couldn't find any data on latency i was just wondering how many milliseconds the latency is... so let's say you had headphones on and you clapped your hands... did the clap come much later in your headphones while you monitor it or was it pretty close? for example the sennheiser avx-me2 has 18ms and the clap was a lot behind the actual clap, where as the rode wireless go2 is 4.2-4.9ms and it's pretty right on it, can't tell the difference so the latency is good. just want to know if you could sense the latency when you speak/clap while monitoring.
@GoWrightReviews
