oh my goodness! these two really in love with each other, you can see it pouring out of their bodies. Such lovely performance thank you Mathew Ball.. and Mayara Magri. You made my evening!!
how are they dancing like that, on concrete with points and hes wearing some sort of adapted trainers. That was a great exhibition of excellence in dance.
When I had no place else, I practiced in a warehouse that had concrete floors. It was nice and even but tore up my pointe shoes like crazy. You do what you have to.
Absolutely gorgeous and true romance (literally!), exquisitely danced and emoted. The setting was such a challenge in so many ways--I didn't envy how quickly Mayara had to dash to run down all those stairs to join Matthew--but with the lights, the greenery, and the deepening twilight it was all so beautiful. Yes, even with the "Grind" signage, lol. Huge applause to the direction and editing, which was seamless even though this must have required multiple takes in order to get so many angles without revealing any cameras. Gosh I would *love* to see a "Making of..." video! Or even just a description of how it was all shot. I kept getting a real "West Side Story" vibe, too--I mean, of course it's the same story, but I mean visually, between the urban setting and the couple's appearance: Mayara looks so much like a vulnerable, lyrical Maria, and Matthew a most handsome, enthusiastic Tony! I could almost hear "Tonight" as well as the Prokoviev. Anyway. Bravo to both of you. I would be thrilled to see you in a RB production--and what a delight it would be to see an entire film of R&J filmed like this!
It's pure magic! It's unbelievable that you can dance like that especially on concrete floor. It seems so easy! What to say about the emotions you share, it's breathtaking! Congratulations as well to the person who filmed. Thank you for sharing such beautiful moments. I have immediately suscribed when I discovered this morning your RU-vid channel. Even if I'm french, my favorite company is the Royal ballet and my heart always go towards its productions and artists. Congratulations .
oh you lovely couple. Carnt wait to see you both again soon, Been watching you both develop over the years at covent garden, and must say it is indeed a great privilage to see you become 2 of the best dancers at the company. Just a bloody shame this horrible pandemic has made it impossible to see you perform. XXXXX
I would have liked the camera to have capture more of the complete dance. She is en pointe and he/she is giving us upper body shots in the beginning. What they Did capture was Stunning!
Watching men's classes at SAB, the Balanchine school - I wonder, how do those students become uninhibited enough to dance with the spark of Matthew Ball? He's Royal Ballet and so is she.
@@matty8644 Oh, that’s wonderful!! Thank you for taking the time to reply. All the best for Mayara and you!! 🍀👏❤️ I hope so much that I can see both of you on stage in person one day.
