Boy, those were the years! I was on Jack and Jolly's Jesters Not long after they started their series. I got some training from Wayne Lyde, Chief Photographer in the middle 70s and went with him along with Del Ward to interview Herschel Walker at his home. His Mama told me that they had to give up the living room of their home and build trophy cases for all Herschel's awards. THAT ROOM WAS PACKED TO THE GILLS. I spoke a bit with Herschel but a lot with his parents. Favorites were Wayne, Doris Martin, Gostin Freeney, Bill Powell who got me to Robins each morning on his radio program, Bob Savage. In fact, I did not meet any one at WMAZ that I disliked, though a couple tried to be obnoxious on occasion. Loved Bobby Pope, George Jobin, Rick Wimberly, Jim Pryor, and a few others were exceptional news people. Thanks, Wayne, those years were special!

I love watching this!!My father is the one and only David Reeves, still alive and well in Jacksonville Beach at 80 years old.He and my mother will be married 50 years this year.I was a teen when he did this documentary in the 80s.I am proud to say my father helped lay the foundation for this tv station, surrounded by some of the nicest, smartest, most talented people I have seen.Much respect and love for WMAZ and Macon!

I remember this video (I purchased it on VHS when it first came out as I lived in Warner Robins). David was the most interesting person interviewed to me. His wit is much like mine and I hate I was too young to have seen him on TV back then. Awesome dad Kelli !

was singing this straight from the heart jingle and three days later decided to look it up... brings back memories from when my family would visit Hawkinsville.

I was trained to keep my hands out of my trouser pockets when on camera. Not so for Aaron, evidently..
