Julia Barr's Daughter Alison would also play for a brief time "nice" Lizzie Spaulding on Guiding Light. Then in the UK Phoebe Dyvenor is a icon on Bridgerton and her Mother Sally has been playing "Sally on Coronation Street since 1985.
In the 1980's when they did an AIDS Storyline on Eastenders Peggy Mitchell shouted at Mark Fowler to get out of her Pub. He was actually HIV Positive, but she came around. He "left" and died offscreen. Also Eastenders have had the saddest Xmases where all kinds of bad things happen, Losing their home, their marital betrayal comes to light, or a wedding that is a disaster.
Benjamin reminds me of some of the patrons on The UK Soap Opera Eastenders in the 1980's. Also Daran Little not only wrote for All My Children he currently writes for Eastenders.
I think they were the only Teen Couple who dealt with Vietnam. Then many years later so many Soaps dealt with the issues of Veterans many of which fathered children.
I’m sure some people realized that Elizabeth Taylor was dressed as Carol Burnett’s character at the end of her show. “I’m so glad we had this time together…”
🎉 greetings from coastal Mississippi. Watched AMC 1984 - to series finale. All my Children . ABC network. January 5, 1970 - September 23,2011. Pine Valley Pennsylvania. Lancaster county. Towns near by Llanview and Cornith. Large city. Philadelphia ❤
Agree with another poster on here ; no Kate Collins ? Maybe she did not care to be in this . Also no mention of one of the best "Who Done It?" storylines: Who Killed Zach Grayson ?
Yes, then Robert Lupone would act on Guiding Light. Trains are synonmous with Love Stories, Angie & Jesse reunite at the Train Station, then in the 1991 Documentary Forbidden Love: The Unashamed Stories Of Lesbian Lives, there was a mini movie based on the pulp fiction novels. Laura is planning to leave and her girlfriend meg comes to say goodbye, laura pleads with her to come with her but she doesn't, she instead stays with her boyfriend bill and before they arrive at the station tell laura i love her is playing on the radio.
I wish they would bring them back I remember I would tell my friends to call me after 4pm because from 12:30pm til 3pm I was locked in on my soap operas
I wish they would release vintage episodes online. The year I want is 1982, especially the Silver Kane storyline and the Jenny and Jessie go to New York storyline, plus all the other stories, like Tad seducing Liza's mother, ect. I remember Agnes Nixon asking people out there in the world to post vintage episodes of AMC on RU-vid. They have, but VCR's were very expensive in the early 80's. It wasn't until 84, 85 that they were affordable, so those early 1980 episodes were never recorded by the public, and those were some of the greatest years.
They skipped over the Martins adopting Tad & Jenny after they were found abandoned in a park. They were abused. And the father, Opal's ex raped Ruth. This story was very important & tragic - and turned out well but after a lot of work obviously- so Erica's story wasn't the EPITOME of tragic stories. The MARTIN & TYLER families WERE the base families, And Jesse's & Angie's families were right there with the Martin family from the time they were young too. The Courtlands & Chandlers came in later.
They talk a lot about the chemicals in it and how people shoot it which is true but the chemicals are all cooked off in the end there is minimal amounts of that shit left it's pretty much pure meth amphetamine
That was me in the first 6 minutes I'm standing in the back next to the blond dancer married to the police officer. Jerry it was a pleasure to meet and watch him work. ❣️💞❣️
OMDarn! $170,000? You lying sack of Schiff! That's 3 times the price of Cocaine! You heard dude say it's a poor man's cocaine. And that's not true, they're nothing alike. All my friends almost, wife, all got on that junk. Lost all of them. Just me n 4-5 friends didn't. But, I know meth is probably $1,500, $2,000 an ounce. It was $1,000 back then. At $2,000, x 28 is $56,000. That's why I hate media. They just st can't tell the truth.
41:38 Best part. As far as I know, Carol never did an AMC spoof on her show, which is surprising considering she became a fan in 1975 and her show didn't end until several years later.
Grandma Kate would be blown away at the No Nonsense words of Lou Beale on Eastenders where she had the pre-intervention with her Family telling them to get themselves together. Another Mother was Annie Sugden on Emmerdale who didn't mince words with her Son Jack who left the family in 1964 and came back in 1972.
The Extras on UK Soaps are just as great. On Eastenders (1985-Present) there's an actress named Jane Slaughter who plays a Barmaid named Tracy. Others are Cindy, Winston, and Shopsy. They are either in the neighborhood walking around, or run their market stalls.
&&&& oprah blessed and changed so many people on different platforms nnn areas inn there lives . . It's so amazing on what she did and how God really was with this show . . . 🎄❤️
