Macon, GA 24 WGXA TV The Flood of 1994 20th Anniversary 

I was there! I was 10 yrs old. I vividly remember my parents driving us to the plaza area across from the mall. All those tanker trucks and military personnel were there filling up our containers with water. I remember taking those ‘standing showers’ with room temperature water from the jugs...

I remember this vividly, I was only 8 at the time (34 now) and it is still one of my major childhood events. I remember the high falls bridge washing away, dams giving way everywhere, The roads closed, it was quite a disaster.

Thanks for posting. I lived in Perry at the time which is near Macon and Warner Robins. Hwy 75 was closed off at our exit to North and South. Lived in Florida all my life. Never seen anything like it.
