i just got back from a Herpetology Symposium held in Costa Rica and i just wanted to say that i followed the tips and greatly increased the quality of my Photography! Combined with the AK diffuser and i have been pleasantly surprised by my Pictures! Thanks for all the very specific tips! John Earl Kneisler
I love learning more about Macro photography. In your begining. Sony this. Sony that. Oh I use the Sony this and that. Macro photography. I am happy you get great results from youi camera. But it is you. The camera is a tool. My photo buddy uses the Tamron 90 F 2.8 Macro lens. I prefer the Nikon 105 f 2.8 macro lens. I am not in the jungle. But I don't want them to make a meal out of me. Lots of lights out there and triggers. My friend Phil Thatch now uses Canon. A nice video.
Thank you @ColbyBrown and @B&H for this extremely informative an helpful series. In this video Colby Brown pointed to attach a simple headlamp as a focus assist to the AK diffuser. How exactly that can be done? Can the host please explain?
Hi Colby, been enjoying this series. Why didn't mention wireless flash? I still use Sony DSLRs aka DSLTs, A77M2 and A99M2. They both allow wireless flash when used with flashes such as HVL-F60M or using HVL-F20M on camera to trigger the HVL-F60M instead of wireless flash. Also, do you ever use infrared focus assist?
What about the Godox macro light set up that mounts to the end of the lens. You don't favor a set-up like that one when shooting single Handley? PS: wish Sony would add the focus shift feature as in for, focus stacking. If you have any pull with them.
