@@RU-vidCensorsthe first three episodes are pretty much just bait. it's a natural follow up of the story up to that point regarding un spacy and the weaponizing of songs. they fumbled the execution at the end, but i think it actually had a solid premise and good characterization for the cast. i wish they picked a different gimmick for the singer so people would be more willing to give it a try.
@@Jaybird9x Zettai Live (2nd Movie) is the only redeeming point of Delta as a whole. It speedran all the good points of modern Macross, without being a copypasta of Frontier like how Delta TV ended.
Aside from Harmony Gold stunting The growth of the Macross fandom in the west with their constant cease and desist order shenanigans, there’s also the fact that Carl Macek had to splice two other shows along with Macross to make Robotech. At least that’s what you’ll hear from the more insane part of the fandom.
Mind you this wasn’t Macek’s fault. It was an industry standard. He needed the show to bo over 70 episodes long to get syndication and since the sequels weren’t available yet, he took Southern Cross and Mospeada and put them together to make one story. I don’t have too many issues with Robotech, but Macross is still the superior. You should be able to watch the original series here on RU-vid.
@@jordanwebster4170 nothing is wrong with robotech as it pertains to the macross arc itself as only protoculture is changed to a bogus energy source to tie in the other animes. The story of everything else is mostly unchanged. Harmony Gold is evil though EFF them forever
My first Macross show was Zero because someone in Ace Combat subreddit recommend it to me lmao saying "this is Ace Combat anime if you ignore all the lore, mech and idol stuff"
ive actually have yet to dip my toes into modern macross like frontier or delta, well beyond the psp/vita games anyways. its funny actually my dad got me hooked on the first series and later plus and zero and ive watched 7 but im sorry i cant stand it.
