I remember loving how the "I'm evil because of tragic backstory" is so utterly shut down by her seeing everything you have gone through being so extreme being terrifying.
I like that it was presented in a way that doenst discount her experiences but shows her she could have chosen better. Also that the WoL is hella traumatised.
Fordola: "I'm evil because I'm traumatized and hurt!" WOL: "I haven't slept in three days because I keep getting nightmares about the time my friend died in my hands and I was powerless to stop it from happening even though I'm supposed to be the savior of Eorzea, but do you see ME commiting genocide?!" Fordola: "You what" WoL: "EXACTLY, sit down child >:C"
But without a joke I think that was my favorite scene in Stormblood, it finally acknowledged the amount of bs that the WoL went through, it's a rare occurance, I need to see more of it especially in EW where all the shit goes down and the WoL goes through the most imo
I gotta say having the warrior of light choosing not to reach the tums even after discovering the secrets of the chair stool in order to spite mr bad haircut man was excellent writing on the devs part, really brings the story together
I lost it at "Mad because dummy small, jealous of bunny tall". Being a Viera myself and playing with a guild full of popotos, I can confirm this tends to be the general sentiment.
It's weird right? Like, the politics are boring when you aren't playing the story, but I could not tear myself away from the game during the 4.X content, I think it was better than the 4.0 story.

I laughed, I cried, I yelled out in joy "Oh thank god, I'm not the only person that wondered why any of this plot happened outside of [she hot, so forgive] " A masterpiece.
Think it happened because since she lost her memory and became childlike gosetsu took pity on her and that personality also reminded him of his daughter that may have died young (I can't remember the cutscenes it gets mentioned in during this plot) so it was like having his daughter back in a way. Hien being gosetsu's friend abides by his wish of sparing her since she's not a threat in her current state.

I've seen all the Mad Because Small vids so I say this with zero exaggeration- Bowlcut's backstory (5:58-6:26) is the funniest joke I have ever heard from this series and am willing to bet it will remain top 3. Easy.
(FFXIV) Doma's always been "what if China was Japan instead", given how Higashi is more of Edo-period sakoku Japan. Then you have the Steppe as Mongolia. Meanwhile, Korea kind of... just gets ignored.
There's a local Japanese folktale about the 'Rabbit of the Moon', or Tsuki no Usagi. Chang'e is probably what it comes from, also the fact that there's a series of craters and different colored terrain on the moon that sorta looks like a rabbit using a mortar and pestle.
@@sweatygoblin2335 Did the Japanese version have anything to do with Tsukuyomi? Because it seems to me they just took Tsukuyomi and mashed her together with Chang'e.
