I love how they had fun and didn't take the show seriously. There will never be another show like MAD. This show could have aired on Adult Swim with no changes and maybe actually be more popular than it was.
@@Nausicaafan-go6lq the show was also made by someone who worked on Robot Chicken, it's almost like he heard kids complaining that Robot Chicken was too mature and helped work on this show to suit their needs
@@ethanthomsen3973 I prefer this over Robot Chickem tbh. Robot Chicken is good but has too many cliche Star Wars or DC references. Also this MAD is actually faithful to MAD Magazine
One thing i noticed: for a kids show, it has way more “adult” jokes (like Mark Zuckerberg and show parodies) than actual Minecraft jokes. Im not complaining its funny.
@marcosloldel this show has a serious old guy, this one has a goofy blond guy, this one has a woman instead, this one is the same show but from another character's perspective, this show focuses on a special type of crime, this one is the exact same thing, but on hawaii
@mikadosannoji553 the few I think are different enough are Columbo, where the guy acts like a total dope so that the criminal incriminates themselves, and Monk, where the dude just has REALLY bad OCD and also the theme is sung by the guy who Also sung you got a friend in me
even the death screen has the &e0 score. these guys took pride in their work and were attentive to detail. shame it didn’t take off like the other shows released around this time.
My 11 year old self was blown away when the cartoons on my TV mentioned Minecraft! And also how they knew enough about it to make an accurate parody of it.
Back then I didn’t know what’s Minecraft until years later when I heard it’s real I was like hey that’s the same thing from MAD and then i realize it’s a real thing, man memories
For years on end, I remembered the "Uhp, need more track!" joke vividly. This, Incredible Crew, and Nickelodeon's AwesomenessTV were dated af but prime points of nostalgia Also 1:59 aged real good. Maybe even replace "Facebook" with "Metaverse" and the message will still be relevant
I remember watching this years ago and then a good while later, seeing an episode of criminal minds on tv while channel surfing. This is honestly the reason I stuck around and kept watching to see what the actual show was about. No regrets👏
I remember I was so autistically obsessed with minecraft as a kid I couldn’t believe I was seeing it on TV, I must’ve replayed this episode a hundred times just for this one part lol
"Hey, I built a house! And I have a new friend!" (Creeper explodes) "Aw, I lost my house. And my friend. Oh look, a new friend!" (Creeper explosion) You Died!
i thank having Rossi make sense because in few episode of criminal mind, he actually have knowledge on a lot of video game. i also like how they do the Unsub profile scene....
I remember seeing this on TV and not knowing what was criminal minds then years later finding it and loving the show. Now today I understand it better.
The fact that i usually only understood one half of the media parodied in this show, just made it more funny to me. Like 10 year old me knew Minecraft, but knew nothing about criminal minds, but it was still hilarious
This was one of the first things I've seen that was Minecraft related, and I was so confused, both with the "I die in the sun" thing and the Zuckerberg jokes. But now that 11 years have passed since I last saw this episode and I've played Minecraft for years everything makes sense. Can't believe this, of all things, was what introduced me to Minecraft
I remember seeing this when i was young and i appreciate this skit much more now that i really like both Minecraft and Criminal Minds, especially Rossi making call outs to other crime shows
Dude At the time when I first watched this I can’t believe they made a TV parody out of the most epic games of all time!!!!! PEWDIPIE NEEDS TO SEE THIS!
