The zikz tsm failed team was in s9. Started as BB, Akaadian, Bjerg, Zven, smoothie, they lost to TL in finals in spring (the infamous no QSS on Skarner R game from Zven in game 5). Then in summer they brought in Grig who was supposed to be the starter, but had wrist issues. Later went back to Akaadian and finally promoted spica for playoffs and gauntlet. finished 5/6 in playoffs (the Clutch series) and lost to Clutch in regionals in 5. And Zikz basically got pseudo fired halfway through summer iirc for Peter Zhang (and Regi had a lot of input in coaching), late season Zikz was just sitting there, but Peter was already the main coach. zikz left to join 100t straight after (to coach the iwd's twitch chat favorites: Ryoma ⭐, and Stunt)

People also forget he had the 2021 100t roster though. The one that performed well in the lock in tournamant and was pulling 3:15 dives left and right when that was a thing. They performed decent until they fired him.

With how quickly teams run through games in scrim blocks id be curious to see how many of those winning IMT games in scrims...were against smolder team comps who ff'd to the next one by ~15-20 mins

The only international tournament Yagao hasn’t been actively bad in was MSI ‘23, in an Annie Nautilus meta. Even then, he was the worst player on his team. But I guess the cope will go on.

I think people just read too much into MAD/T1/whatever team under/over performs. Most of the teams are meta-dependent and that's pretty much it.

Great show as always, watched the entire podcast. One note though, I wish you guys would elaborate on the solutions of some of the things you dislike, for example, instead of just saying "Smolder is ruining the game" it would be nice to know what you think Riot can do to counter that situation and make the game more fun to play. I'm just saying this, so it makes it seem less like you guys just like to hate for the sake of it, while offering no solutions.

Have we had a Bwipo vs Fudge bo5 before? People shit on Fudge, but when he plays well he has been really good, best top in the LCS. Both are down to scarp it out and play non meta picks. Sounds hype

Playoffs Summer 22 Fudge put Bwipo in the dirt while Bwipo was a part of TL superteam Fudge is easily the best western top when he in on form. The problem is he hadn’t been anywhere near that form in over a year now

SK in Winter looked like the new good team with Exakick in particular popping off.. meta changed/teams got better MAD finished 2nd not 4th.. but lets be honest they don't beat BDS with Adam.. and FNC kinda choked People really discount momentum.. performance on the day.. For example not one NRG player is better then G2 player.. but they all greatly outperformed on the day last Worlds.. and as always people expect Rookies to continue to improve Fact is you have 2 or 3 terrible teams (Excel/Rogue and probably KC).. then 1 maybe 2 good teams (G2/FNC) rest of the LEC anybody can beat anybody and with the b01 system being so volatile you can have standings like this.. On talent VIT could be a top team.. they are so wildly inconsistent they could lose to anyone in the top 7 in a b03

I find it funny how Monti says stuff like massu and meech would get destroyed by jackeylove and others amd yet he doesn't think doublelift is all that much better than massu and meech when doublelift has destroyed jackeylove and every best bot lane in the world in the past! Take msi semi finals vs IG 2019 for example. Also when he played vs Uzi at international events he has gapped Uzi!
