@@Niko-ys9ie Uhm no, somehow being run over by truck like this doesn't spell anything remotely close to 'coming back alive'. Miller just recasted the same actor to play another character. Directors do that you know
Alex Rucker 0:55 the mighty Kz 1000...... THAT’S ALL THERE IS!!!...... THERE AIN’T NO MORE!!!!! I love this bike and I always will but you know that beautiful air cooled 8 valve 5 speed in-line 4 put up one hell of a fight. Stock Kz1000 vs a highly modified blown 600hp V8. We did pretty good my old girl!!! Long live the Mighty Kz1000!
Eye Ball Paul yes they are dual overhead cams, but they have 8 valves, not 16. DOHC doesn’t necessarily mean they’re 16 valve like the old 1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport.
@@mexman000 you can. The original Mercedes race cars of the thirties had blowers that were operated by a throttle kick down. Thats why they were more reliable ( one of the reasons) than the 4.5 Bentley blowers. Their superchargers only came in when required.
Forty-two years. Forty-two *YEARS.* And it has never been eclipsed, as the greatest death of the main villain, in any film ever. And it may never *BE* eclipsed.
I don't know....when Immortan Joe got his face ripped off by Furiosa and her saying "Remember me?" right before it happened. That was pretty awesome I thought...
The toecutter ride's on his Kawasaki Z1000 which has about some 15000 RPM's when it all of a sudden crashes on that truck bullbar... There's a lot more cut off on him then just a toe man HAHAHAHA... Back then I watched this scene ten's of times when I turned back my VCR cassette time and time again man HAHAHAHAHA. UN-forgotten!!!
One of the most bad ass chase scenes in any movie. Hell yeah Max! And that supercharger....mmm mmm mmm. Music to your ears! And as much as I love motorcycles, no way that guy was getting away from Max in that car. He had no. fucking. chance.
One of the best movies that ever, was I've had the old tape with the "American " speech dubbed in, then the original aussie dialogue, then a disc when they were available. These old pre-CGI effects movies hold up over time
Go Pats ! Check out the front of the truck. Its got a false cover The guy who owned it was afraid it would get fucked up in the crash so they built fake front for him
I think he would have lost the speed advantage the car could have chased him over that ground and with 4 tires vs his 2 max basically just had to wait until this dude crashed which I think was intentional max wanted him to panic and mess up
I saw a fatal in Canada 20+ years ago. A car was passing around a corner and collided head-on with a tri-axle logging truck stacked full. That car was so flat the height only came halfway up where the doors HAD been and the roof was indistinguishable from the rest of the car. Sad day for ignorance.
Figure the truck was going 60 mph, the bike close to 140, and no, the bike rider ends up in pieces. Years ago I saw photos of the aftermath of a bike T-boning a car at 140 mph. It was an anatomy lesson spread out on the road.
@@hankbellamy NOT in the handling & cornering- dept it would'nt. I surely can't keep-up with a 14 on the open-freeway on my first-gen ZX11, but when it's time to head into the mountains and twisties, there are very few 14-pilots who can pilot the curves nearly as well as I can on my 11, because mine was originally created to spank the FZR 1000 and Gixxer 11's of it's day...DITTO for the original Hurricane 1000. I respect the 14, dont get me wrong, but even you've got to admit its been superceded by the H2r...and God only knows what Kawasaki has in plans (waiting in the wings) to replace THAT machine ?
@@sjames5694 For sure no question about it the H2r is insane it does take a good rider to keep up with 1000s in the mountains but for how big it is the 14 is quite a nimble machine and is still my favourite all round kwaka
That truck driver is just all fucked up now, he doesn't know he just killed a gang leader that murdered a cops wife and child. All he knows is he just killed some guy. Then max casually drives away.
You think when films like this, Bullet, gone in 60sec were made and the car chase scenes were great, now its all terrible cgi and totally unrealistic actions...last good film car chase was Ronin.
Maybe not, but if you listen to the commentary track on the DVD of this movie, they claim that 80% of the bike riding in this movie was done by the actors themselves.
I seen this in the theater- it left such a impression upon me 😁I was about to get my Driver's Permit at the time; so Max was a good tutorial. Later in life now, as I fight Cancer😔 👉 THIS SCENE inspires me to *never give up* and *never give in* - 💪
