Hey I have to say...I'm doing MY part. I haven't paid a dime for Madden since Madden 18....maybe if more people followed suit we wouldn't be here. People complain....but yet EA must still be making enough money to justify this garbage.
I paid for 23 when it was 20 or 30 dollars around black Friday of that year and that was it, I refused to pay for 24, waited for it on gamepass, played it once and haven't gone back since

Ryan it's not EA fault... Hear me out first. They may be selling the same garbage year after year and that's why I stopped playing after Madden 18. But the people who should be blamed is the consumer. The consumer is the one that keeps going out and buying the garbage they know it is. That's like going to a bakery that you love, and every time you get bagels, they're moldy or stale. You've already complained over and over again, and the same issue is present. I got tired of spending 60 bucks for an updated roster every year. MUT ruined sports gaming in general.

The funniest part of the trailer for me were the comments hyping it up. One of the top comments was, "let's see Ryan Moody try to trash this" or something to that effect. Like the trailer doesn't look like Madden 24, 23, 22, 21....
I think its more so people are annoyed that he constantly complains about these games, but if they actually stopped making madden games anymore that he would have no content to post meaning he wouldn't get a paycheck. I do think part of it is that ryan is fitting his role as the complainer (which isn't necessarily a bad thing as in some points he's absolutely right) and with that he practically gets money from EA in a sense and people are calling it out. Also there are some points where you can blatantly just call out some cherry picking, but other points where he's right on the money. Thats just my viewpoint though. (P.S. I agree that Madden has looked the same since Madden 21)

I'm not sure either publisher/studio would take on the task of making an NFL game even if the license became non-exclusive. And 2K and SDS aren't exactly innovating a lot themselves in this gen so far.
As expected the game looks and plays 95% like the previous iteration which is how every Madden iteration has been for well over 10 years now. Are there some extremely small and minor differences? Yes - but the game needs to be completely stripped down and built from the ground up to fix the glaring legacy issues that the game has. NFL 2K5, All Pro Football 2K8 and Madden 2008 are still better football games than Madden 2025 and it isn't even close.
I don’t even understand this logic that people have. Same team. Same engine. Had 4 years to build a new physics based engine and ea took the easy button option. Will it have more features? Yes. Is there significantly more effort in CFB? Sure. But it’s significantly more than 0 effort not from a great product
Imagine if one year EA said, "guys, Madden has been slacking for a long time. Here's what we're going to do. We're not making a Madden 26. Instead we will fully update the rosters for 2026 and put it on Madden 25. And in the meantime we are going to spend 2 years hard at work to make Madden 27 the best football game you've ever played." 1. How much respect would people gain for EA being honest 2. I know a TON of people (myself included) would buy Madden 27 as the first Madden they've bought in years. (Madden 19 was my last one)
Problem is 90% of the additions fixes ppl are asking for would take like 2 months not 2 years....simple shit like real assist. Coaches....comp picks....custimize everything...custom faces..new premade faces ncaa has 1600 new faces.
This is a really nice sentiment but its detached from the reality of the situation. To even admit that they have slacked would ne to acknowledge that they are a fundamemtally immoral company. It would be cool if they did what you said, but that would require more contradictions than the world we are already currently in… EA would have to transform completely to even begin to own up to their performances. Their star wars games are not good either. I dont play really anything but sports games, but damn, EA makes 100% bad stuff. I feel the effort in GTA and assassins creed
@@colindowns2747 Not at all. Simply pointing out that no one asked for female head coaches, there aren’t any in the league; and they could have focused on gameplay, O-Line AI, or sideline models. (Misplaced priorities by EA).
I think it is fine. I look forward to creating a Taylor Swift head coach! Adding female coaches and Roger G to the game are small additions. If they make significant changes to game play to make it more fun and realistic then that is what really matters to me.

Madden is an empty, soulless piece of trash and madden 25 will be no different. They abandoned depth, quality and immersion a long time ago in favor of MUT and micro transactions. What EA has done with this franchise is the perfect example of complete disregard for their customers. But people continue to spend money year after year on MUT and this trash franchise

EA had to buy the NFL license because they knew they couldn't compete with 2K/Visual Concepts. I stopped really playing football video games when I stopped playing All Pro Football 2K8. All 2K had to do was make a generic football game like Madden was before the NFL came along but no they had to try and make it so different to make sure EA and the NFL wouldn't try to sue them. Maximum Football got my hopes up until I played the open beta and I see why they keep delaying it. It needs another year or longer before I'd release it if I were them.
Here's the thing. The CFB game will EASILY be better because it ALWAYS WAS 12 years ago. It's a different team at EA than the one working on MADDEN. They understand the passion for colleges is much higher than for the pros, because more people went to those schools and so have stronger ties to them. They know college fans won't accept crap that doesn't do justice to their schools and teams. You want the real issue with MADDEN? It's that it's a money printer. As bad as it is - MADDEN 24 was the #6 highest selling game worldwide last year. All EA and the NFL saw then was dollar signs. Unless people stop buying it - and especially stop buying MUT crap - MADDEN will never get better or be better than the CFB game.
@squintohighlights I managed to find some gameplay after conducting research as if I was a damn private investigator lol. However, it looks the same as 24, 23, 22, 21, and 20. They just changed the scoreboard, the UI, and added about 10 new animations 😆

The custom stems button that apparently didn’t work, kicking meter option, pressing x on a read option to keep, Caleb Williams and Jordan love having the clap cadence (even though it is not used in nfl)… I could go on.
Ive been saying this for awhile. Game drops in 3 weeks and we have only seen 2min of actual gameplay. Whoever is in charge of marketing at EA needs to be fired.
this is exactly why I stick with Buying a new madden game ONCE per generation, and I'm STILL disappointed. Madden 12, Madden 17, and now 25....I don't think so. Also, it's not surprising, trying to make a 'new' game every single year is BOUND to fail every single time. The NFL need to trash that contract they have with EA as it guarantees a shitty product and let 2K come in and actually make a good football game!
My biggest issue with madden is when I play superstar or franchise as a locked player on defense, if I annihilate a dude but as he falls his pinky toe touches a defensive player I only get credit for an assist and that’s ridiculous
I’m hoping that Madden doesn’t drag down the college football development in the future. And for all the people like oh they added a bunch of new stuff people should be happy. The only reason they added teambuilding was because the college football guys built it for them.

That was more realistic bc it turned the body of the qb and hid head to see towards his wr. I got use to it and it was fun.. until Ea bots cried about it that it was too hard and that I need full control of the player crap.
@@gamesh0w4life69 the cone was okay in concept but using one stick to point the vision cone and then having to move your thumb to the button pad and hitting the correct button without accidentally hitting another button was just awkward
@LV-1969 I don't remember that much in madden 06 I think I was 10 but... I was playing madden 06 when madden 07 came out so I was 11..I thought it was in madden 08 where they still have the cone drill but you can hold LT in xbox and click on the buttons and I got use to it. If I made an error I made an error it happens in the nfl as well. The reason why I thought it was realistic bc the qbs actually moved their body/head towards the wr direction. Today you have have the the qb take 3 to 5 steps back and stays there without looking at his WR.
They're so out of touch that they didn't even realize the community was hyped for a different name than madden 15...but nope. Some people will have two diff madden25s that'll probably play damn near the same, 10 years apart
@@davonjohnson5528 The frostbite engine is awful. Also that's Madden decline starting in Madden 18. No disagreement there. And I agree I don't think college football 25 will be a good game at all gameplay wise.
I wonder if this is the year where receivers in madden finally know how to sit in soft spots in zones. Zone coverage is OP in madden because receivers have no awareness and run right into the next zone

@6FigureSuave I have a theory that cb25 is just a distraction from madden. Ea does not want to loose their license with madden so in order to keep it theirs and not let company's like maxi football get ahead of themselves they had to come out with CB25. Cb25 is just a distraction at the moment for madden developers to work on madden. Then 3-4 years once they are done with college football they will go back to madden. Just my opinion.

Born in the '70s grew up in the '80s probably bought the first 10 or so iterations of Madden haven't bought one since. I've been playing NCAA 14 whenever I need a football fix. College football 25 looks pretty freaking amazing but because it's EA I'm waiting for the game to be released before I jump in.

Nah. madden was a top 5 selling game last year. EA isn't failing in the eyes of nfl and their contract. Their biggest competition is themselves. They win either way.
Man, i remember pro-tak. God that takes me back. i was a young teen, so i bought into the bs, but now i hear all these promises and know the game is going to be hot doo doo water. I bought madden 24 on sale. The last madden i bought was 17, and im shocked they still can't get the damn screen pass right lol.
I dont subscribe to the "they have 1 year to make a game" bs excuse. Its on the same consoles year in and year out and in real life the only thing the nfl changes is rookies, playbooks may change as well but ultimately its pretty much the same.
