Hello I placed a order for pickup at Vine and Table for y’all Can y’all react to Merle Haggard Mama Tried or Toby Kieth Who’s your daddy whichever one thanks
Maddie & Tae is highly respected in the country community they DO play their own instruments Dustin. A great song to hear them perform live is "Die From A Broken Heart". Maddie & Tae are awesome.
The references alone are great- “Painted on on cut off jeans” is from David Nails song “whatever she’s got” “Hey girl” being from Billy Curringtons song “Hey girl” “Pretty little thing” being from Jason Aldeans “take a little ride” Red-Red-Red-Red-Red-Redneck Crazy being a nice mixup of Blake Sheltons “Boys Round here” and Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy” (I think y’all picked up on that one) “Shaking my money maker’s never done made me a dime”- another good mix up of Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl Shake it for me” and Florida Georgia Lines “Get your shine on” “Tell me one more time you gotta get you some of that” Thomas Rhett’s “Get me some of that” “Down some dirt road we don’t even want to be on” another mix up of Jason Aldeans “Dirt Road Anthem” and Florida Georgia Line “Cruise” “I ain’t your tanned legged Juliet” Jason Aldean’s “My kind of Party” And finally “Aww, no” references Chris Young’s Aww Nah. I think that all of them but I’m sure someone will comment if I missed one.
Good job. I think the song is probably even better when you have the back ground. I grew up watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so I don't get overly offended by what they are wearing. I like Dustin appreciated the humor of the video.
This was released at the height of Bro Country and pissed of a lot of country artists lol. I'm glad y'all got it. To hear their actual vocals I recommend "Die of a Broken Heart" live at the Grand Ole Opry. They aren't Martina but not many are.
The facial expressions on Kieth's face were hilarious and Dustin laughing was icing on the cake! Thank you for making me laugh at the end of a crappy day!
Maddie is actually from TX, and Tae is from OK. This was their very first single and it got a lot of scrutiny from some other artists because they actually said peoples names. Even though you can tell there is no beef with them, it's about the institution of Country Music and how they see/treat female artists vs male artists. This song is fun, the video is funny... but you should listen to some of their newer stuff. My favorite is Die From A Broken Heart, or Fly.
Maddie and Tae are an extremely talented duo. You need to listen to "fly" and "die from a broken heart" Also there are a lot of references in the song you weren't able to get. One of the references was Chris Young's "aw naw" for examplfe.
This is a response to the bro country trend that has dominated country radio for about a decade now. There are several call-out lyrics from those types of songs by pretty prominent male singers peppered through there. It has seemed for awhile that almost every hit song is about the same scenario...Party in a cornfield where a guy with a jacked up truck with cold beer in the console has his girl riding shotgun with her tanned feet up on the dash....which is a terrible idea to begin with. Lol. As a long time fan of country music, it is a trend I will happy to see fade out.
"Girls Lie To" by Terri Clark is another one that will have you laughing. I know you guys have had some Bourbon you haven't been crazy about, but I think this is the first time I've seen either of you look like you were going to be physically ill.
Love Billy Currington too! Great voice! Guys you’d like That’s How Country Boys Roll, Good Directions - these two are just fun and about all the country cliches but they’re all true!! 😂 Must Be Doing Something Right is my fav.
I didn't care for the video and I've probably never tasted bourbon(and pray I never taste what you tasted here), but you guys are great. I'm a nurse and love when you guys mention nurses. Now, let's get this day done. I would love to hear "The House That Built Me " by Miranda Lambert.
I would say check out Maddie and tae die from a broken heart. I don’t pick up lip syncing from them when I listen to it. But I’m not the ear 😂 I’d have to see what you guys say and then watch cause I don’t hear things unless you point them out lol
This video is hilarious! And it's very edited... if you want to hear how great their voices are you should check out a live performance they did at the grand Ole opry about a year ago "die from a broken heart" great performance!
Haha! Got the tables turned on yah! Great reaction! Now we need to get some Little Big Town on this channel, Tornado, Pontoon, "Beer, Wine, Whiskey "and Sober and a live performance with Keith Urban shredding the guitar, covering the song Chain. Fleetwood Mac, I believe are original artists
OMG...laughed my azz off!! And of course was going "NO..watch the video!!" at the begining when Keith wanted to turn it off. The expressions on your faces!! Gonna put my vote in also for Terri Clark's "Girls lie too".. the official video is good, unlike Faith Hill's "Breathe", where I would suggest either a lyric video or a live one. Was the bourbon really that bad?
Love Maddie and Tae but this one isn’t one of my favs. Check out Die From a Broken Heart, Fly, Water in His Wine Glass, Lay Here With Me with Dierks Bentley. And as a nurse, thanks for the compliment Keith but I love Rodeo too Dustin. I really like watching barrel racing but NOT for the girls! 😳 I’m in it for the cowboys! And I appreciate your positive comments about not objectifying women. Sex sells though huh?
before video: AGAIN: why didn't i get this alert? i LOVE this song and i had actually requested it in a couple of your videos! start of video when keith threatens to hide video: DON'T DO IT! you aren't expecting waht's to come! end of music video portion: worth it! totally worth it to see those faces!
You should check out friends don’t by Maddie and tae they where very big and then there label went under and they have fought back to be in the spotlight
Great reaction guys! My husband and I look forward to laughing and watching your videos. I remember when this song came they were speaking out against all the horrible bro country songs out. Like everyone else I recommend "Die from a broken heart " the live performance from the Grand Ole Opry.
This video always makes me laugh! Maddie and Tae have beautiful voices too. This was one of the songs I listed for you guys.. Here's one, a more emotional side, that I love from them. "mama can you die from a broken heart" acoustic, not the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yXilD_wv5u0.html
It all started with Dukes of Hazzard. My daddy would have slapped me to next Tuesday if I tried putting on Daisy Dukes back in the 70's. To this day you can find me snowblowing the driveway in my Carhartt bibs and muck boots😂😂
Loved your guys reactions! This is my first time hearing these girls (haven't listened to much of the music that came out after the early 2000s) so can't recommend anything by them. However, I would like to add a vote for Terri Clark's Girls Lie Too.
I love that you liked the message. Funny video. My favorite part was your comment about arterial spray 😂 This won’t make my playlist. I am glad you reacted to it so I could see it 😂
So glad you didn't turn off that video lol! Also, if you haven't seen it there is a video of a college professor explaining the "crazy/hot" scale. Super hilarious 😄
They have a couple fun tunes but if you want one of their real songs, check out fly or their song die from a broken heart. Yall gonna have to learn that 98% of country singers can actually sing live. We are a bit more picky than pop
This song is so clever Maddie and Tae are some incredible songwriters Die from a broken heart Fly Smoke Serria Trying on rings Strangers Spring cleaning Everywhere I’m going Some of my favorites by them
Please do Morgan Wallen -“Wasted on you” and “whiskey glasses”! Sorry I can’t refer a good bourbon I’m just not a drinker but I enjoy watching you guys! And his song “Whiskey’d my way”!
you should check out Maddie and Tae - Die From A Broken Heart Live at the Grand Ole Opry. also, the video for Shut Up And Fish was funny, but my favorite is Fly.
Women in Country music are naturally beautiful. As for California country girls let me tell you something, the largest country music market is in Los Angeles and the biggest Country music festival in the world is the Stagecoach Festival held in Indio, CA. Having been to 8 of those festivals, which are about 65% females, there are some beauties that attend there and usually in packs of 4 or 5. It's really hillbilly heaven. Mostly it's a drinking festival that happens to have music and beautiful women. I once got no further than the Honky Tonk dance floor that they have there, which was full of about 80% females, and missed a whole night of artists just dancing with dozens of ladies the whole time. Sore feet and a happy ❤ the next day😃
@@BourbonCountryReacts California is where Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakum rose to fame. Many a great country song was recorded in Los Angeles at Capital Records and the Cowboy Palace in the San Fernando Valley is where Toby Keith filmed his 'I love This Bar' video. Not to mention this is where nearly every great western was made and home to almost every singing cowboy like Roy Rodgers, etc. Nearly everywhere outside if the major cities is like the rest of small town America in flyover country. Even Dwight's song 'I Sang Dixie' is set in L.A. Unfortunately there are not as many country bars in L.A. as there used to be😞 But, even so, there are still lots of urban rednecks like me to be found here.
Ya'll may be rock guys...but each video I have watched I can hear that southern drawl coming out more and more! 🤣 I think country is rubbing off on ya more than you think! 👏🏻❤️
OK no no these two amazing female country music artist do not lip-synch because I saw them perform live on the grand old Opry do not even dare think about lip singing at the grand all Oprey One of the songs that will end is one of the song that they sang there at the grand old Opry and the title of the song is can you die from a broken heart and also one more thing on the song of a girl in a country song it was defiant response to the phase of country music was going through that start in 2013 known as bro country
They are awesome in concert I took my daughter to see them when they were at the Lexington barbaque festival in Lexington NC. She was 10 years old she is now 15.
I'm the weird girl who loves this song and loves bro country. I think country radio has over played bro country as much as I love to shake my *** to it. I think it needed called out. As for Maddy and Tae Shut Up And Fish is hilarious
Speaking of barrel racing, the song "Barrel Racer Land" by Kenny Feidler is a good fun one, though raunchy. Another fun one is "photo finish" by Chris LeDoux
This song was a huge middle finger to the whole "bro country" movement that was dominating country music at the time (and sadly is still around some), and it's amazing for it.
Country music has always had a reputation for not respecting female artist. You had to be exceptionally good to make it there if you were a woman. And a whole lot of the songs if you listen to them have a lot to say about women and country music. I'm going to come back with an OG a real OG back in the '50s early '60s OG, Miss Kitty Wells, it wasn't God who made honky tonk Angels. You've heard the red lens this city but listen to Loretta Lynn's I'm going to hire a wino to decorate our home. Women have always fought for respecting country music. It's just today they have a few more weapons to fight with. Great reaction guys I absolutely loved the looks on y'all's faces when they flip that script.
I was so worried you were going to turn off the actual video and I was so happy when you didn't. This was dropped right in the middle of what I call "bro" country music (for lack of a better description) and it really called out the objectification of women happening in country music at the time.
Here's a fun video from Maddie and Tae. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--lH54eA4i8s.html Shut Up and Fish. I also got a better song to showcase their voices. It called 'Fly'. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KfDr_7LN-Ew.html This one is studio. Here is a couple of live performances. You decide which you'd rather react to. Thank you for giving country a chance. Most OG country song of all time 1945 Bob Wills and the Texas playboys- Stay a little Longer A new funny enjoyable song Brantley Gilbert/Toby Keith/HARDY- the worst country song of all time
I enjoy your content but how do you call them country barbies and then complain about objectifing? Lol And if we're talking about objectification the men like Dwight, George Strait Aaron Tippen, Trace Atkins and so on aren't wearing their jeans that tight to hit high notes....😂😂
They dressed the part and we called it like we saw it. (Well, I did.) I mean, if you're driving around a pink malibu barbie corvette, you don't get to act all indignant when someone calls you barbie. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts Lmao Since I've never looked like a Barbie I wouldn't take it as a bad thing personally however they were driving a truck😉 Anyway Gene Simmons toungue earned him just as many fans as his music, The Hair Band in tight leather and no shirts...sex sells...not just for the women... Lol. If vocals are what you're after whole lot of female country tallent left to go.. You might have already covered some of them just not many of their songs. Trisha Yearwood, Kathy Mattea, Lori Morgan, K.T. Oslin -Come Next Monday (Classic), Roseanne Cash. Marie Osmond has got some great songs as well... More obscure Juice Newton Queen of Hearts..☺ All great singers!! Less reactions done for some of them. Have a great night!
HATED IT!!! The two girls are beautiful. I agree with thier objection to the objectivacation of men and women. But thier accents sounded fake! The whole thing was just overly produced in my opinion. I did like the line "Can I go put on some real clothes now?" Um...who's Fify? Again y'all up and made me giggle with the fake tokin' I was so done typing then y'all did that. Lol
