It really is amazing how many popular patriotic american songs there are. We really are a different breed. Foreigners simply don't or can't understand the American psyche about our country. They view it as arrogance which it isn't. A devoted pride and arrogance are 2 very different things.
@@HappyValleyDreamin You are 100% right. I wouldn't want it any other way. My family immigrated to the USA from Denmark in 1924. I am still connected to them "back in the old country". Americans are "disliked" in many countries but, in Denmark, they actually celebrate American independence on July 4th. It is called the Rebild festival. I asked a relative, who lived on the sea, why do they do that?. He said, while pointing at the sea, " do you know what is there right across the sea? It's Russia.". He then carried on "because without America we would be speaking Russian or German". This sentiment may be fading among the younger generation as, until now with Ukraine, they haven't had war near or in their country. But, they still celebrate Rebild. Denmark is a wonderful country to visit.
@@HappyValleyDreamin I have been so blessed to have been to most of Europe and a bit of Asia and most of the USA mostly compliments of my job. Visiting other places and cultures is always a blessing - even countries which are not as lucky as we are. I have actually kissed the filthy ground at JFK Airport in gratitude. You should visit Scandinavia! Denmark and Sweden are a stone's throw away! There is so much history and for many years in a row, Denmark was the happiest country in the world. I think they lost that to Finland. Finland is spectacularly beautiful while Denmark and Sweden are both beautiful (full of rolling hills, the sea and fjords) it is more about the history and culture. Everyone speaks fluent English, too. On one evening in Copenhagen, my mother and I found our way to a tavern ( bar, lol) where the men working at the harbor hung out. My mom was giving out motherly advice and comforting a guy whose wife just left him, lol. When the relatives found out where we went, they were shocked. That was the "bad part of town", lol. Again, things have changed some because the world has changed so much. This was pre-9/11 and the entire world was impacted by that. Anyway, go, travel and see the world! I am now a homebound disabled old lady ( my last trip back was 7 yrs ago) and I live alone with the fabulous Katie the Kitty but, I am never bored or lonely. Katie and my memories and experiences - and youtube - keep me happy, grateful and contented. Blessings, karen
I refernced this song just a few hours ago while my dad and I were at my moms grave. There isn't a headstone/vase yet so we pounded in a metal rod and used wire and tin snips to hold the flowers on. I told my dad there's a TK song that talks about WD40 and a Craftsman wrench. Most people in my area (rural middle of the USA) carry wire as it can fix basically anything.

In President Trumps speech he said that the people would go to the capital to “Peacefully and Patriotically make their voices heard” and some stupid people acted like idiots for a few hours. @myroselle, it was an insurrection! There were weapons there, because people have been charged for it! There were plans drawn up at a hotel in DC that the planners called the war room! The woman that was killed was on a mission when she busted through a window just feet away from where congress was hiding. I just hope Toby was too sick to know that he called our soldiers suckers and losers!

There are a number of foreign journalists that I agree with on 99% of their views…except the Second Amendment! It is a FACT that the 1st move of most governments is to disarm the public…which is fine, until it’s not…then it’s too late!!! It’s much better to have responsible ownership and operation of guns.

You are completely correct my darlin bout bein proud of where ya come from, but regrettably now, China seems to have bout almost all of our farmland and then some. It has become a very real concern with alot of us Americans. We need to wake up and tell our representative's in each state government that we ain't ok with this at all. In fact the have just bought like 700 acres that also just "happen to be" backin straight up to one of our military bases😔. I wanna know who the heck in our dern government that is allowing this to even happen at all😢⁉️. I pray 🙏🏻 daily for this country i love and call home , but the ONLY thing, or should I say the only one that can fix this mess now is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ 💖👑🙏🏻❣️.
