If you pay close attention, the snares make a sound as if it's a broken clock. The hour hand, minute hand, second hand, all not being able to move on, just ticking...forever. Solitude is a double-edged sword :)
Just got to find where the samples come from. What I did. Now I buy vinyl for myself. Shit is raw and most people dont even know thats how most of the beats are made. From older music.
I hate the people who are complaining how this song is just a loop. It is not getting old for shit. Everything about this beat is... just so damn beautiful... I really can listen to this beat for a whole day straight and I won't get tired of it I guarantee you.
this song , no wait. this isn't a song, this is an entity of everything that is smooth and good in the universe. it just warps you into another dimension.
Timeless!.... Whenever I zone out and listen to Dilla, Doom or Madlib I remember why it's important to accomplish your goals. (Can't listen to their music without shedding a few tears of joy.) #deepthoughts #dreamland #RealHipHop
I wrote with this song 9 Hours on a emotional letter for my mom. Catharsis. After 10 Years, today is the day where I can find my inner peace. Love to ya'll - We're all gonna make it! Greetz from an artist in Germoney
Every so often I come back to this instrumental and I really understand why MADLIB is in my top 5 Hip-Hop producers of all time. I look forward to any album this dude drops.
Definitely sounds like you could wake up the next morning alone, opening the front door to see what used to be a city but now a wasteland. I really like the beat!
holy shit that beat is tight...madlib has incredible skills. Like no ones beats sound like his. So much originality. They don't make em like this anymore. Last of a dying breed.
Anyone saying this is just a loop...listen to the track. I mean really listen to it. The subtle changes in the sample are there and add to the hypnotizing quality of the instrumental
Than you for putting this dope track up. I first heard it on Adult Swim and it took me 5 years to find out who the name and who did the song. Thank you
idk HOW many times i keep commenting on this but it just makes me picture myself being at a river and jesus is right there....how heavenly the beat was and picturing this scene made me cry lol. Madlib once again you're dope!
My personal Top 5 Producers in Hip Hop: J Dilla, Madlib, Hi-Tek RZA, Stoupe The Enemy of Mankind (or Diamond D, or Large Professor, or Pete Rock, or DJ Premer, or Dr. Dre, but I think the 5 I mentionted are the best to me, wih DJ Premier being the most important for Hip Hop)
the herbs got your senses obscured with an absolute mental image for blurs. reverberating airs around a car, murky visions of these scenes lead me to beleive that a flashback's ensuing and doing the opposite of rooting; alot of rocking my grid and blue prints. momentarily i had something that wasn't ordinarily possible. a static block comparable to a rock, too which it didnt matter if it got caught within our same plane and spot.
