Well there was kind of a theory that a lot of people had because the fight with him is pretty easy that many people think that he actually didn't want to destroy Nevada I also agree with this Theory sure he puts up a somewhat of a fight but it's not too hard after the final boss literally stand still and let him kill you nothing changes if you failed the mission which I kind of stick with the theory that a lot of people have
I love this boss fight, it makes it clear (as krinkles intended) that there are no villains or heroes in madness combat. Hank, the “hero” is clearly expressed here to be the villain. Although I wish they expanded the fight more because I feel Hank wouldn’t go down that easy.
@Phobos I had an idea that hank could’ve gotten killed al la episodes 2-6 and then Sanford and Deimos would’ve gone through an area to reach a half-mag magnification chamber to revive him he would then proceed to be like that and that could be the final boss with all of his abilities from the cartoon with the game not giving you ranged weapons so you couldn’t just zone him out
Can you imagine how awkward it was when Hank got revived by Doc and realised: 1. He, *_THE_* Hank J. Wimbleton, got killed in a fair fight by a pair of regular extraction team guys 2. He has to work with them again
1:46 'Yeah? Because between you and me, I was _hoping_ it would come to this.' O_O ...and with _that_ cheery proclamation, we learn that Hank beats out both Black Swordsman Guts and fucking _Caim_ in terms of being a mass-murdering, sociopathic protagonist.
@@R77ification Yeah, I love how there are signs scattered all throughout the game that, on repeat playthroughs, make Hank's true nature here seem obvious.
In most games you fight the final boss to unlock him as a playable character, only to find out he’s way weaker. In this game you play as the final boss only to find out he’s way weaker when you fight him.
@noshbush2757 it's really fun that playable characters couldn't be tored to parts and just fell unconscious , even if damaged with something explosive or very strong shot, and Hank also had that privilege, but when he became bad boy, Krinkels and Swain be like "sorry man, but right now you will be brutally murdered as regular enemies, not even like Church or Jorge, because they have plot armor during fights". And in my walkthroughs he was tored to the parts. Both times by Sanford. First time, Sanford (it was bot, I played as Deimos) stunned and beheaded (perform execution) him with his hook and at the second time I picked up Gestalt's tusk and playing as Sanford, charged attack and tored Hank to the pieces, especially his head, I saw how his goggles flew away)
Are you telling me, that calling ugly a cold blood murderer who killed a god who could make a hellish place full of murder and violence into a peaceful and safe place just because he wants to blow up the place and kill everyone betraying his friends/tools in the process its "CoLd"?
I think they should've at least made Hank's tac-bar insane, and let him counterattack melee. It would've made it feel more like fighting actual Madness Combat Hank, since Hank really doesn't get hit very often without dying immediately. This just feels like fighting a Soldat that can get high ground occasionally.
My only explanation to this is: he literally just killed a semi-god, that must be tough for everyone, he was really injured after the fight, so we can't really say who's the strongest here
I can agree on that. Hank is an aggressive,hand-to-hand fighter with expert handling of weapons. Let's not talk about Half-Magged Hank, cause he does not exist in this game, yet, but Hank solely is a grunt who became a literally walking death.
I still love the fact that when Hank gets revived he either forgets or just doesn't care that Sanford and Deimos killed him, and they just keep going on their usual missions
2BDamned explicitly banned Hank from attacking them probably. Just imagine someone disciplining their child by yelling something along the lines of "murder those two and I'm not reviving you again" and that is basically the gist of things
He was supposed to be easy. Hank isn't unstoppable, he is just a man in a ninja garb and some skill. His first mistake was deciding to underestimate the two who have been by his side since the beginning of the game.
To be honest,in Madness, the mission was always to stop the AAHW and the Nexus, including Gesfalt and Phobos,so Hank was partially right. It is better to blow up Nevada than making the world into a neverending power-ladder game, like in the game actually.
Also quite an interesting theory. Maybe Hank realized the hopelessness of trying to save the world (or at least believes in it), learned madness and decided to just finish off the world so that no one else would suffer. It sounds interesting, but it's hardly true, most likely Hank is just a mad and embittered killer
@@jeantarr1314 he is not mad nor embittered...he is simply human, driven by his instincts, not like those Agents or Soldats of the Nexus. Also let's not mention that he we killed numerous times and have conflicted some of his lesser allies, like the Sheriff,Christoff and so on.
@@attilakovacs5040 Still, I think he's mad and angry. He's died a hell of a lot of times, he's being hunted on behalf of an entire organization. He lives, even survives in a dying world, without the possibility of a quiet life. Any person, in my opinion, would go crazy and be angry at the whole world
im pretty sure the AAHW was made only to kill HANK I doubt they want to “conquer” the world he is the one that made the massacre at the park for a boom box, MERC probably only minds their own business they are just hired thugs by the nexus and what about nexus? Yeah I have no idea but it doesn’t seem they are gonna try to work in the project anytime soon
@@noidea3487 well,AAHW took over Nevada basically,so they conquered it actually and if Hank would want to escape to another city, they would be spreading their influence around the cities and so on,just to get to Hank. Let's not talk about MERC cause they're a bunch of meatbags in the story, the Nexus is on another level.
Yeah it's pretty sad to be honest I feel bad for all of them they're all stranded in the middle of nowhere trying to survive meanwhile they see a bunch of Agents wearing tailored suits just chasing over a man who's just trying to protect himself and they're just realizing that they're just living worse than most of course you should feel bad they're just trying to survive in Nevada give thim some credit because the fact that they lasted so long without Hank coming to kill them and somehow survived after Hank killed them just give them some credit already
Yes. It's their fault, they should not chase for a guy that killed whole bandit camp by himself alone. And they should keep their mag bandit away from Nexus City. Honestly, screw those bastards
This Hank felt pretty different from the canon series' Hank. In the game he seems pretty arrogant thinking he can beat Gestalt on his own, but in the main series he knew to run away from improbability-driven Tricky. He seems pretty dismissive of Sanford and Deimos and it seems like they don't even know each other that well here, but in the main series he acted more familiar with Sanford (rock-paper-scissors and pulling him out of harm's way.) I'm not positive where on the timeline this takes place or if it's even the same canon universe, but considering Deimos is alive I'm guessing it's before, so either this Hank is an alternate version or a past version who becomes more humbled and friendly with S&D. (Before someone points it out, him using Deimos's body as bait isn't too heartless for me considering Deimos was doing the same to him, he's dead so he can't be offended, and they can just revive him later using any of the dozens of methods available.)
@@IsimyokEskihesap weird how Sanford and Deimos already had their iconic outfits in the game even though they were still dressed like grunts in 5. I have a hard time accepting this is canon if the chronology is contradictory.
@@LilAnonomus We can't speak as of yet, as it could be likely the Madness Series or the game itself end up looping themselves at some point with a soft reset that explains it.
@@LilAnonomus One of the devs confirmed that their outfits are only there for recognition purposes, and that they went with designs that looked best for the game. Maybe they aren't actually dressed like that in-universe, or they retconned their previous appearances?
First off, this game is canon. Second off, DID YOU WATCH THE SERIES?! The dude took on THE SUN and WON! Of course he's going to be arrogant! He killed the sun!
sanfords dialogue: ugh you so ugly sanfords lines: hank, have you not been listening?! we've stopped the project. its over! and Christoff can all of save us without compromising the mission! everyone wins!
Notice how throughout the Employers scene, The Auditor is the only one to never look away. Throughout the entire scene he is staring daggers at Jebus. Think about it. Its implied he hired Hank to assassinate him in the teasers for P:N. He hired both Christoff and Tricky to kill Hank, only for Tricky to kill his own fucking partner to have Hank to himself. And after Jebus is born again and knows that the AAHW is messing with the Improbability Drive, he goes on a quest to stop it, and unlike the others, goes directly for the man responsible. The Auditor. The Auditor hates Jebediah because he knows he is a complication. If Jebediah is still alive, that means he will do his damndest to put Auditor's plan down. The Auditor has made countless attempts on his life without Christoff even knowing it, and once Christoff DOES breach his defenses, he doesnt fuck around and takes matters INTO HIS OWN HANDS. The FIRST TIME we've seen him do this, no less! This proves that the Auditor views Jebediah as an even bigger risk to his plans than Hank. Hank is a loose end that tangled into an unmanageable not, but Jebediah is a threat with or without the Higher Powers on his side.
@@ScoutTrooperMannot exactly, as the auditors mission is basically to bring stability and order, and he does it in an unconventional way such as interfering with the mortal realm, unlike the other employers, the auditor actually engages within Nevada and makes it either better or worse. Examples of it being worse is him literally hiring Tricky despite him being a loose cannon or him hiring Jebediah to go after Hank only for him to betray him. It’s actually interesting because Krinkels once said in a live stream that the employers can’t die or Nevada will cease to exist so constantly the auditor is putting danger through his concept and control of Nevada itself
Jeb's permanently dead. If he wasn't, kranks would have said that he wouldn't say anything. Kranks said he's dead. Also, mpn happens between mc 4 and 5, so jebs only died twice by this point, and before the clown claimed his 3rd killer.
@@redzedz4737 so, what about Stygian? in the arena mision "The Haunting of Nevada House", the Daemoniacs tries to ummon Stygian, their God, to plunge Nevada in darkness (according to the mission description), if Auditor's mission is to bring stability and order, can't he like, stop the Daemoniacs and Stygian himself?
Hank , Sanford and Deimos : * have been good friends for the entire mc series and this game * Hank : * betrays them * 0:58 Sanford : Ah your’e so ugly.
@@Coldyeditzandgamingall hanks is just s-3lf of one person that was Fragmented into Many Parts every time when he got revived So it's just literally the same person.
Most people say Hank should've been harder bec he's so skilled, that he was tired and whatnot but imo Deimos and Sandford are way too underestimated, they fought Gestalt and Phobos alongside Hank because as strong as he is he wouldn't have been able to defeat anyone alone, they would be tired as well, not to mention they're pretty skilled too and with their teamwork they can match his skill and possibly surpass it since they outnumber him, after all they're all normal grunts that became poweful
We don't even know what Deimos and Sanford did The cannon fight could've been hank doing everything as you can see hank is the only one damaged from the fight

During the entire fight and throughout the employers dialogue I kept on saying "HANK... YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" over and over to myself and completely missed the dialogue. I was in so much shock lmao
You know what truly gets me in this fight? The music. It's different from any other song in the game's Soundtrack. It's more akin to Silent Hill or Cry of Fear. It really lets the reality of the situation sink in. You're fighting HANK.
Fittingly, the track is called "Nothing but a murderer". Showing that after everything, Hank is still only in it for the killing. Not any other purpose.
No, you fight honk, if you ere fighting hank, you would die. not kill him in like 5 seconds. edit: so, what i meant was he would actually put up a fight, not just die in 1 minute.
I was really looking forward to this fight because Hank is canonically such a force of nature. I am pretty upset at just how easy this fight truly was. Imagine a full blown fight where Hank goes straight up Antipathy halfway through and just starts fighting you like a normal enemy but way faster and stronger. Hank would be able to send pretty much any hit you send at him back your way and you'd have to get him to be weak through unconventional means. This fight SHOULD have been the hardest in the game, way harder than any fight building up to it because Hank is basically one of the most powerful creatures in all of Nevada and it should have been near impossible. I love this game but it's still annoying that Hank didn't get the boss fight he definitely deserved.
I am still dying of laughter when hank shot Jebus with the RPG, when i saw that myself in the game i was like ''Ayo what the fu-'' and yes that boss was extremly easy
Yeah. This was Sanford & Deimos' worst crimes. Even if they saved Nevada & stopped Hank from blowing the science tower up, they cannot be forgiven for everything they've done to society. Mercs are still hunting them & A.A.H.W too. So they took off their clothes just to hide their identity from Mercs so they wouldn't chase them anymore. However, A.A.H.W knows who they are because Deimos abandoned A.A.H.W & Sanford killed them. So they still remember them because they we're prisoners before & they destroyed their facilities.
I kinda hope they add a challenge mode to the game and base a section of challenges off of the cartoons and maybe remaster the project nexus one levels and add dialogue to hank, Sanford, and Deimos in those levels
one question though, is campaign getting updated still and hanks death is just a placeholder? is there anything I can do as jebus in the abandoned sector, I got to the Nevada central area through here but i guess its just to replay missions
Besides the cutscene with the employers there is nothing in the abandoned sector available from my perspective I was thinking there was a secret ending when you beat all stages on madness mode but with how the process of unlocking madness mode is so tedious and on every single level I doubt that they would do something like that
I can kind of see why Hank was going AWOL on them. He was getting tired of all of it. The killing, Tricky, Jebus, the cycle he created. He died 5 times, for crying out loud. And Tricky denied him death at one point. He wanted a final death, to finally rest.
I thought it was for the mission given to him by doc to shut down the project. most hank's dialogue of when he was about to fight jeb and the beggining Base jumping literally shows that.
I was shocked to see hank as a boss, I felt so sorry for fighting em but took em down instantly with breaking a sweat, but I felt sorry and betrayed. He still is alive to me though, always would be as a trio. They always used to remind me of my 2 brothers, my twin and older one [twin being Deimos and older one being Hank as for me being Sandford].
In a way, the fight showed his true colors. He's willing to make Jebediah an ally and kill him off afterwards just to get the mission done. Like Krinkels said, he's really good at his job.
it makes a lot of sense actually if u think about it. Hanks main concern is his goals and it always has been.. even if that means k1lling his allies to reach it lol
@@firefox524 Well he is way too good at his job. He was always a bad man. A man who killed an entire army of Grunts who just wanted to dance, play & fun activities before madness reigns terror. They we're even dancing at Tricky's dance club so they can enjoy a great life together like friends & family🕺👫 But Hank ruined their lives to the point they became Agents, Engineers & Soldats. All who trained themselves to defeat Hank J. Wimbleton & finally bring him to justice & order. But he is too overpowered & killed all of them & flushed their training down the drain🚽 He never shows any remorse at all. He never gives mercy to any innocent Grunts. That's why he got his well-deserved death at the hands of the 2 chuckleheads. And he is now going straight to hell & never come back because he had enough of killing people. He deserves this punishment.
I like how Sanford acknowledges the fact that Hank is going to come back extremely causally. “And hanks not gonna like that we offed him either” is just such a good line to me.
I noticed the audior is the only one of the employers who doesn't acknowledge when another one of the employers is speaking, he just stater into Dr. Jeb's soul
I've always liked the epilogue part with Christoff talking with The Employers and you just have The Sheriff in the background wondering what the fuck is happening
When the Auditor says that they have project for Jebus and is approaching quickly, i think they are talking about the animated series. “When the time comes you will fall in line.” Meaning in the future. Also in Madness Combat 6.5, it shows jeb putting a sign saying “I quit -J” Which then shows Auditor lookin at this through a computer. So theres actually solid evidence that PN was before Madness Combat 1/ The animated Series.
I still don´t know if Hank retains his skills from MPN1, but if he did, he could just steamroll Sanford and Deimos by just returning the bullets with his sword, just like director Phobos did with the binary sword at the end of episode 1.5
Hank care only about the Mission, and murder, and does not care for sanford, deimos, doc or anyone, he sees his allies as tools and not care about them.
Hank was after all just a Nevadean. An extremely competent and sociopathic one that's for sure, but physically he was just like any other G04. The lack of music, the very simple attack pattern, the 3 corpuses you had through the entirety of the adventure and his gun is all you have to deal with. It just shows that, since the beggining, since MC1, he just killed for his own enjoyment, and let it be his life's purpose. He had not even a little sense of comradeship with the Status Quo, and absolutely does not care if Nevada was to crumble down. The last words he ever said was suggesting he wanted to eventually kill Sanford and Deimos, which is the most karma flavored nail in the coffin I've ever smelled. God damn.
People are going on about how Hank doesn't value the others... when in actuality, he didn't expect Deimos and Sanford to double-down on Christoff's attempts to reform a Project that has failed spectacularly. He's doing what he's actually being told to do, which is DESTROY Project Nexus, and NOT to reform it. Hank turned on the two for this sudden change of plans (on their behalf) and ultimately would upset Doc/2BDamned... especially after Deimos and Sanford took him out. In the end, the intention was to Destroy the Project and not reform it, as expected from 2BDamned and the Employers. So who's in the wrong again?
Hank, for being told several times that destroying the Project could end up *destroying the world itself* . Hoffnar/Tricky, the smartest character in all of Madness and the one who understands the whole picture better than anyone else (to the point using the "two soda cans" analogy pissed him off due to the gross oversimplification) stated so. There was a better alternative to destroy it and kill everyone else.
When i first got to this part i thought gestalt was gonna be the final boss , but then this cutscene started playing then hank shot christoff with a rpg , and as the cutsence went on I knew something was wrong the "Ultimate Killing Machines" thirst for madness wasen't quenched yet.
I know this ending is confusing, but my headcanon right now is that phobos tried to possess hank in order to take nevada down with him. also the bandits mag agent search is adorable!
I think they should have made it harder to fight Hank because he has a lot of skills, but well, he gets killed, which means he's hard to kill just because he can defend himself well and dodge bullets and punchs well, and he can bear the pain too, but he can not repair his body and i think They also forget to add Mag Hank to the game, as Hank gets very big and has a big red hand.
@@massproductivethrill2681 They probably had to help hank. There was that one scene where they gave hank the dragon sword then dipped out, they didn't want to cause more beef with hank so that's probably why they left quickly.
Honestly Hank being very weak as a final boss is very fitting for his character. He thinks so unbelievably high of himself and is such a big pushover, thinking he can kick anyone's ass. With destroying Phobos as a huge ego boost it only made sense for him to pick a fight and lose because of his own cockiness. Sure he's an amazing fighter and on the surface it just seems stupid for him to be so weak in his fight, but I like to think after taking down Phobos he just went fuck it and was so power obsessed he wasn't thinking clearly when fighting. Just seeing fighting Sanford and Deimos as an annoying obstacle in his way that he wants to get over quickly.
Well, krinkles always show in his mini short in the cartoon that Hank is strong, yet he can died too,Like that time a giant mad agent literally cut him in half and killed him like nothing, example of many ways that hank can die
While the fight against Hank seemed like a disappointment, it would also make sense for Sanford and Deimos to win. Hank's overconfidence and lack of cooperative skills does prove to be a weakness. He was itching to fight Gestalt throughout the game. Also, if there is a third installment to the series, I would love to see Christoff be a hero or perhaps an anti-villain we could play as alongside the Sheriff. Christoff and Sheriff are the closest things to being actual heroes, at least in my mind.
I always chalked it up to Hank underestimating the duo, as you said he's overconfident and PN dialogue makes it clear Hank will bash his head against any obstacle without thinking clearly so it fits that he'd feel like hot shit after beating Phobos and not take the duo seriously and get killed for it.
Hank doesn't have weapons to just throw around he doesn't have the ability to switch up weapons he just has a gun And vents he has to survive against 2 of the very best and a amazing team he has to just shoot at them while weakend We have seen Hank lose fights while weak
