When initially playing the game I had NO idea Mr Bumby was operating an underground child prostitution ring. This is one of the most racy,taboo games I have ever played. It is a game that I will never forget.

I love the story, and the level designs…all the drawings, props, traps, enemies, you really feel that these are all interpretations of Alice’s feelings; something that used to make you smile is now corrupted and is turned against you. Overall, the story, it being quite the deep moral. A girl having herself blamed for something she did not do, the grudge being pushed down her throat and the endless pain and depression ever soaring through her mind. She tries to justify herself, she isn’t sick; she’s in pain. But nobody who really reaches out for her, giving her what she really needs. All but her Wonderland friends… Although they may appear threatening, or they may appear as they want to harm Alice, they’re all merely afraid of HER. She is destroying her own beautiful mind: Wonderland. They are the creatures who roam over wonderland, and she’s her own murderer - the Infernal Train is her own invention. And if it wasn't enough, the doctor is ever more pushing it down her mind and blaming her. If one only knew the darker intentions the doctor had in mind by letting these children forget their past… They are nothing but mere numbers. They are but the mortal bodies that walk on the earth, all forgetting their “unproductive” memories. She’s not just being tortured by herself, but others around her, who suffer the same pain, have a huge influence on her as well.

I like what the Cheshire Cat says at the end- he says that pretty much, once you recognize the truth.. it's pretty painful at first. And you may not be able to look at anything the same ever again. But it's worth it; knowing what is really there.

I love how Alice just casually pushes him onto the tracks... Well it's gruesome I just low how it looked like a light push and how casual it looked...

God I love all the lines by the citizens of Wonderland Pretentious, but god it's in a good way. You can really tell who these guys are based on voice and line delivery alone

DISNEY'S Alice was blonde. This is American McGee's Alice. Just how Hansel & Gretel are Grimm's, not Disney's. Same goes for The Little Mermaid (Grimm), Snow White (Grimm), & Sleeping Beauty (originally a ballet ensemble).

Thanks for uploading this, Pewds (PewDiePie) never continued the series so i had to know what happened because i grew up reading books like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Brothers Grimm.

I love this game, but I always thought the Queen of Hearts was a replica of Lizzie from Alice's mind but now everyone is saying it is actually Alice and it makes a lot of sense. Best game ever though.

This is such a good game. The story is great, character design and concept are beautiful, the puzzles are aren't too easy or hard and the voice acting is brilliant. 10/10

This game is absolutely by far my favorite game. I can't count the amount of times I've played through it. Both for the gameplay and the story, this yt video I can't even tell you how many times I've watched. I watch this video for when I want the story and don't want to play through it myself. I LOVE the dark side of this game. The music is beautiful and haunting. Incredible story, very dark. I just LOVE it... I also love that throughout the game, if you pay attention to the surroundings, it shows how the next world is applicable. For example before you go to the Asian/Japanese world you go through the house of Radcliffe, he's got all kinds of decorations of Asian decent. Same with many others. Just LOVE this game

Is the asylum part just a memory? Because that would explain why she has her hair back at the end

The Red Queen is suppose to be Alice when she was little or so that's what the creators say.

THe movie Coraline reminds me of a sort of Alice in Wonderland. Plus the father would be a great character in the game.

Hang on... When she killed Dr Bumby, she was her wonderland self, instead of her real self. And when she walked out the station, she was in her Wonderland. Does this mean she only killed him in her head, but not in reality? Is it a metaphor for her destroying all the influence he had on her? So he might still be alive in the real world? Did I miss something or is that true...? Hm...

Yea. In a way, everything for Disney has to be perfect. In this case, it was their cute little "blonde haired, blue eyes" Alice who was perfect with nothing but a sense of wonder. Nothing really touched on what the real Alice went through and suffered in her Wonderland. Alice: Madness Returns is based off the REAL one, the 2 Disney ones weren't as gruesome because they had to keep their perfect image. Disney would rather change a story and make it cute, than rather show the real meaning of it.

It is the same? And it fits so damn well? Amazing

If I remember correctly Carrol wrote the Alice to look like one of the little girls he hung around who was blond, but her personality was that of 'his' Alice. Another little girl he hung around. Though my memorys not the best.

That's funny, In the middle of this I was thinking how I could make Alice's Castle gloves with liquid latex (and the rest of that dress) for a possible costume for Acen. I'm still working on this years costume though >w

I love how the story wasn't the dumb Disney way I like how it twisted and it turned at the end because it would have wasted my mind and just how Dr.Bumby was the killer and murder

One thing that always bothered me was "Centaurs don't live in Oxford". I understand it's a reference to the opening cutscene with the centaur pushing the doll baby in a wheelchair, but I never understood why Alice thought Bumby was a centaur. I can't really think of any significance or symbolism in centaurs apart from maybe the sexual with the lower half of a horse, or maybe the warfare and carrying off of women in Ancient Greek texts.

The mad hatter's voice in the first game was sooo much better. Also the soundtrack from the first was MASSIVELY better. However, I adored all the Alice outfits in the second.

they are alchemical symbols. Hatter got many of them in his hat and domain. WHY ARE THERE ALCHEMICAL SYMBOLS IN THIS GAME: The Victorian medicine was tighly linked to all kinds of western mysticism. Since she lived her entire life in a psychiatric hospital, alchemical symbolism became pretty common for her and part of her daily life. Even tho she doesn't know their meanings. In Hatter's hat of all the symbols one of them is red. It means "mercury". Hatters used mercury when making their hats.

Thanks for the comment. Your way makes sense to me, but hearing Bumby inside calling her a make believe avenger, and her the doctor say back again Alice? still causes a bit of confusion. Plus the fact that some of the asylum things didn't include nails, and blood... they were normal looking. So I only have one more question... How do you know, that your answer is really the intended end? I'll be happy if it's proof that, that is really what happen. Aswell, thank you.

The Grimm brothers didn't write Alice in Wonderland, people....it was originally called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and was written by Lewis Carroll. It wasn't dark and scary either--just way more random and confusing than the Disney movie. ;D

R there any other games like this with the same type of gameplay and beautiful graphics but without the death and baby heads theme. All the other games I've tried just seem to be fighting and shooting guns every five minutes of the game

THANK YOU! The real Alice Liddell was insane. She nearly committed murder and was extremely depressed. She had dark hair as well. Disney had to create their perfect imagine of a blonde hair, blue eyed girl with nothing but a sense of "imagination". Ugh, can't stand what they do sometimes.
