When I was a teenager I used to go to ska (punk) shows and dance until I was drenched with sweat. Now years later after losing that innocence I realize how this style comes from joy and gratitude for life. And im going to bring it back in Thank you for inspiring me.
Former original member of The Toasters here, I know that at some point this man was at one of our shows in Germany. You make me want to grab my drums and time travel.

I used to love to go to shows , saw MADNESS many times . Suggs even got off the stage and skanked with me and my buddies one night . What a work out and so much fun those shows in the early 80s were ...Makes me feel good watching this !

such a shame Roger died. For me he was the real Beat, loved his version of the band, 1,000,000 times better than the Dave Wakeling karaoke version. Spar Wid Me Roger!
God I long for the days of Madness, The Untouchables and English Beat. I was fortunate to live in So. Cal. we're ska caught on so had a steady stream of the music. The 90's ska revival with bands like Save Ferris and Reel Big Fish was happening in my own back yard and was glorious.
Getting older I also long for these innocence days, but sometimes I go to Ska concerts already nowadays and I'm happy with my beer and feeling the atmosphere, it's my holiday from the everyday routine
From this era, ska was awesome and all encompassing. Mid fifties now with a stick and fused ankle but would love to pogo again, fantastic! Keep that young mind going.

Sometimes, RU-vid just throws you an absolute gem. Loved this. Not just for the music and the dancing and the general I don't give a fuck - i will skank where I want attitude. But also because I spent a few days in Cologne back in 2019 (weirdly enough was there to see a punk show at a place called live music venue iirc) and absolutely fell in love with the place. @@Dyson1963 Hi U. J. Yes it was a really cool venue and a great show. One of the bands was from my home town and friends of ours so it was like a holiday to see our mates perform. We spent a few days in Koln and absolutely loved it, would love to revisit again one day.

similar here. Madness fan since 1979, RU-vid showed me this on 1st December 2022! Only 24 days until the 43rd anniversary of me getting the One Step Beyond... album for Christmas aged 11!
We met on Rock Zottegem and I managed to arrange a meeting with the boys of Madness after their show. We had a most wonderful time then, and have been friends with Jens ever since. We all grow older, but the Madness stays on us ...Great show Jens !
