I had a girlfriend who past away 10 years ago. I remember our first dance as she whispered in my ear to get closer. This was our song. Shedding a tear for you and miss you Darlene.
it kills me when people say Madonna can't sing, she has a beautiful soulful voice that conveys a lot of emotion, they're blind to see it. Amazing performance here
Madonna voice is so much charismatic so relaxing into ears and mind and creating a happy feeling Thats why i dont need voices with high notes that just irritating my ears and mind and it feels like high notes was blasting my mind High notes that samey samey as shouting wtf Songs should relax our ears hearts and minds And not like a nuclear weapons voices like whitney celine beyonce and mariah no no no thanks i dont need high notes
Ignorance unfortunately- they have tunnel vision. It’s the same as ppl describing Kylie Minogue as nothing but a “singing” budgie. Open your ears ppl! Just PUT THE WALLS DOWN and give it a chance. ❤
To be fair though, Madonna does have a history of over-dubbing her own vocals to "appear live. Admittedly not so much in the 80s and 90s but the aging process does affect artists. For me, Madonna is a fantastic recording artist with a soulful voice and fantastic melodies in her catalog. She is this more so than a live performer (and I base that on having seen her live)., And... of course, record sales don't lie she deserves to be considered one of the best. As I say, (and as Elton once said)... Madonna is not a reliable "live" artist.
Also no invisible back up singers ghosting her lead vocals. This is more audible live singing than the vast majority of today's singers do, even the great ones.
Voice changes, that's natural. On The Girlie Show she was more mature and singing at her best. I just wish she hadn't taken those bizarre vocal lessons for Evita. That was not natural at all and ruined her real voice.
@@eberfigueiraI’ve always thought the same thing! She didn’t sing the same after the voice lessons. It was fine for evita but I preferred her singing style prior to evita. It was unique!
Listening to this song is like having a love spell cast on you. You feel the emotion of the lyrics, her voice, and the total embodiment of love you have ever given to someone special in your life.
I wore The Virgin Tour VHS out when I was a kid. That's when I, at 5 years old, gay-fell-in-love with my diva of choice (I have others, but she remains #1). This performance was always special to me, because I couldn't have Crazy For You on a Madonna album until The Immaculate Collection in 1990 (one of the reasons this and Into The Groove are still two of my favorites...as a kid, those years go on forever! Don't even get me started on Gambler!). Her live vocal is passionate here, and especially great on the second verse. Such a great song.
Coming from a Slayer metallica fan. I love that song and one of the best live performances I've ever seen. This is me and my girls song. So means alot and she nailed it. Then crying at the end. Luv it
Man I wish this era had talent like this. When singers sang live and it was actually their voice and not a track. When you could put the live version and soundtrack together and it sounds the exact same. I wish I was born back then so I could experience what real music was instead of whatever it is we call music today. I hope this era comes back!!
Agree 100 percent. And I remember as far as Modonna goes, she was not the power house vocal compared to many at the time. Obviously very pitchy live. But yet, still kills most talents of today.
I think is her strongest ballad. Even though, shes not the strongest singer. I always loved it that she could sort of shift her voice like cher to make a ballad powerful.
Absolutely gorgeous and unforgettable! Madonna in her prime time! I love her punk look of that era. This sing brings me wonderful memories of women I truly loved. Thank you.
Nice to see that in those days, pop artists had real bands and didn't need to lip sync everything. It was real. I think this is a great performance of one of my favorite Madonna songs !!!!!
Madonna has always been one of the best female vocals, she could sing in just about any pitch she wanted. I am still a Madonna fan and love her music but over the years she went from caring about her vocals to the show she presented it seems to me.
I can give up my other balls just to go back to the 80's and attend to this Madonna's concert...time machine, take me back to the 80s, I beg you, please...:))
Madonna's best song ever along with "Like a Prayer": looks like Sean Penn really did bring out the best in her on this performance; she's feeling it like I've never seen her...
Swaying room as the music starts Strangers making the most of the dark Two by two their bodies become one I see you through the smokey air Can't you feel the weight of my stare You're so close but still a world away What I'm dying to say, is that I'm crazy for you Touch me once and you'll know it's true I never wanted anyone like this It's all brand new, you'll feel it in my kiss I'm crazy for you, crazy for you Trying hard to control my heart I walk over to where you are Eye to eye we meet, no words at all Slowly now we begin to move Every breath I'm deeper into you Soon we two are standing still in time If you read my mind, you'll see I'm crazy for you Touch me once and you'll know it's true I never wanted anyone like this It's all brand new, you'll feel it in my kiss You'll feel it in my kiss because I'm crazy for you Touch me once and you'll know it's true I never wanted anyone like this It's all brand new, you'll feel it in my kiss I'm crazy for you Crazy for you Crazy for you Crazy for you It's all brand new, I'm crazy for you And you know it's true, I'm crazy, crazy for you It's all brand new, I'm crazy for you And you know it's true, yeah, I'm crazy for you
