I am 56 years old , survivor of cancer and others . Just loved the movie !!!!! all words that guillermo del Toro said were what I felt seeing the movie . Thank you so much for making such a profound and powerfull movie . Some friends and me will make a coreography with " what a life " to celebrate 3 years in remision :( , will try very hard to copy Mads Mikkelsen dance . Will do it because we are young and alive . un abrazo grande desde Chile
i cried so much and i don't even know why, it just gives you this freeing feeling like the end of fight club, v for vendetta or joker, hard to describe
this was so wholesome. unlike many, many celebrity interviews that feel fake and hypocritical, this felt truly genuine and sincere. you can see the utter respect, love and admiration they all feel for each other.
I nearly cried when Thomas and his film were announced as Oscar nominees. So proud of all involved. It would have been so easy not to finish it ( and no one would have blamed them for terminating production) but they powered on to produce an incredibly beautiful movie.
Guillermo when are you giving Mads a leading role in one of your Hollywood movies where the character isn't muted and Mads as an actor shines brilliantly?
I love this film and yes Mads dance is everything what a beautiful ending for a masterpiece like this. Thank you to everybody involved in the film for giving us some life as a gift in here. Bravo 👏
In 23:10, I couldn’t resist the tears, having watched the film, and the powerful meaning of that scene in the narrative of the movie, adding this details of Thomas’s daughter, is heartwarming, heartbreaking, but more of that, is beautiful, and moments and stories like does are the reasons that is an art.
@@PLF... Clearly you do. You took time, energy, and a little bit, just a little bit of thought to reply. lol. People are so unaware. If you didn’t gave a shit, then why the reply?? hahahaha. Oh man, I love you normies!
"Advertation" Mads is a gorgeous man, but Thomas is adorable himself. They all seem really chill too, I can imagine just chilling and shooting the shit with any of them.
its also about funding and acsessibilty for new directors and actors, denmark has zentropa which dares to produce many films, Compared to us in norway, We have alot to learn when it comes to filmaking and directing, in order of disaperance is a good norwegian film, But the danes just constantly keep making good movies
Yes, Lars von Trier is my favorite director. The french have given us some great movies in the extreme horror and disturbing genre. I stand alone, irreversible, into the void, martyrs, inside and hi tension. All really great film. I did just watch the celebration the other day, I can't stop thinking about it.
Congratulations to Thomas Vinterberg and Mads Mikkelsen for receiving the NOMINATION FOR Best Director and Best International Film (Denmark) for Another Round, announced 15 March 2021. Good luck & may you win both!!
The last scene is catching me soooo much. Life Joy at its best!!!! Don't care what others think, enjoy, dance whenever you like. I love Mats Mikkelsen. What a good and changeable actor. Danish are great. Thanks. Regards from Germany.
Yes, I agree wholehearted with that assessment of this movie. The whole film is stunning. I keep recommending to everyone I meet. But that ending... I cannot tell you how many times I've played it. It makes my heart soar every single time I do. To be able to make that, given the tragedy it stemmed from, is a true tribute to the human soul.
After 5 years living in Stockholm it is so funny to see Mads says “Russian level” while Scandinavians are drinking sooooo much. In the world fighting with stereotypes yes, let’s continue talking about it
@@heinedenmark I think they are dying because of home-made vodka, no? I don't know how common it is in Denmark and other Nordic countries to make booze at home.
Its not a stereotype - the russian drinking. Its refering to the actors and the director watched- as research befire shooting the film- some RU-vid videos where different rusian people have filmed them selves doing a lot bonkers thing while drunk. Its not about pointing fingers ' cause Thomas Vinterberg and Mads Mikkelsen know that drinking and binge drinking is not uncommon in Denmark.
In some ways Jokers and Another Rounds dancescenes have some similarities. Both dancescenes shows the mental state of the charachter, both not caring about what’s coming next and living in the moment.
Thanks guys, you made my day today, can I get this dance? I'm a teacher and the situation is not easy with the children, with pandemic it worsens, there is great apathy and a lot of pain, "dark moments', adults and young people need cathartic events today more than yesterday, if in ancient times it was theater, in the present, it's film, movies. On the day of art (April 15th), I found the answers in the algorithm or in the projection of the unconscious, although prefer to believe in magic after a tiring, frustrating day on classroom . Tomorrow the task will be to express a kintsukoroi rhythm to live, to feel, to share and without alcohol (guees just turn on our emotions, feelings, thoughts... Left pain...don't care... Just live moment Carpe diem) . PS I saw all the films of the colossal Memo del Toro in 'matine' at cinema( Tuesday cheaper price, few people, without popcorn) (I bought a fish that became a fish), but how can I access the film or Vinterberg's films if I only have the Internet. Let's go to dance!! Thanks
I just watched this movie and thought it was a great experiment that, if taken too far, can become destructive; yet, keeping it at a healthy level of inebriation can be liberating. I think that the scene with the student that had to pass an oral exam was very realistic. However, in the U.S., that scene would get quite a lot of backlash and criticism. Personally, being a US citizen, I thought that it was quite empathetic of the teacher to help the student out, whom clearly had issues with alcoholism.
It’s interesting to watch with an outside point of view. I am born and raised in the states but the daughter of a Mexican and a Costa Rican. I personally believe need to lower the drinking age in the states so people learn to drink AT HOME. In my culture we got sips of alcohol very young. We weren’t ‘oh my god I can’t wait to turn 21’. I had the same thought watching this movie-Americans would lose their minds. 😂
@@Nazaba09 That last graduation scene would make Americans shiver lmao. As a Dane, and having ridden those buses with my classmates I can tell you, it's one of the best experiences you could ever have 😊
I want to watch Another Round but it is in Danish. Bong Joon Ho: You better overcome the one inch barrier before I kick you down into the basement. Okay, okay.
