Mads Mikkelsen talks about the languages he spoke in Jan Kounen's movie "Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky" & his language skills in real life. Danish, no English subtitles.
It's funny: I don't speak a word of Danish or French, but the message could not be more clear: Mads Mikkelson is a different person when speaking English.
As a french person I can say two things : 1) his french is pretty good 2) he has THE things when we, french people, searching for a word we say : "euhhh" and I don't know if it's the same in Denmark but if it's not, Mads slay at it
americans are obsessed with dentist straight beached teeth that look like every else's. im so glad he isnt american or seduced by hollywood to think he needs to 'fix' himself. he does have a wonderful smile, instant favorite when i saw it. kinda reminds me of david bowie's.
Continued--- give us an example of French apart from voulez vous coucher avez moi. Mads: Eh, there was this one line that I really loved. Eh but i think I forgot much more French. Hmmh what was it. *Speaks French* that means 'The planet turned and and we are all gathered here'. I thought that one sounded really good, I'm not sure they thought so when I said it but I really loved it. Narrator: Read more about Mads Mikkelsen in Ekstrabladet on Tuesday. Done, hope that helped people(:
indeed, he said "le monde à basculer et nous avons tous attérit ici" or something similar. To be honest, as a french speaker, I also had some difficulties in understanding him.
Okay well i will translate it then even though it might be a bit confusing. Mads: Eh eh, what was it. Narrator: Ekstrabladet meets Mads Mikkelsen to talk about his new movie Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky in which he plays the role of the Russian composer, Stravinsky who plays piano and speaks Russian and French. But how are his language skills in reality? Mads: Well I have spoken Russian and French, and played the piano since i was two. So that was easy. No I couldn't speak a word Russian and
I was trying to translate this... But I'm Swedish so it was a bit hard XD but he basicly says that he had some trouble with the languages and the only French he had was from his school years and he had some trouble with the Russian.
C'est pourtant pas très original... Chaque fois que quelqu'un essaie de parler français, c'est cette phrase qui sort. Ou alors "bon appétit" et "bon voyage"
Continued---- i could play a popular song on the piano that everybody knows how to play. And French, I could speak the French that I still remembered from school. Interviewer: I know you filmed the movie quite a while ago but can you remember any Russian you can show our viewers? Mads: Well I think i can remember all the things I said Russian. I can say... eh I have to be careful. *Speaks Russian*, that means 'they didn't even listen' but that wasn't even in the movie. Interviewer: Can you
I appreciate your reply Sooooo much *haha*. In the movie, he quitely speaks french so fluently making me WOW. And now, he's even humble to himself. What a adorable person he is. : D! anyway, thanks a lot again ~!! Have a nice today ! 고마워요~
"Ehm... What was it..." *Narrator*: "Ekstrabladet meets Mads Mikkelsen and talks about his new movie Coco & Igor where he plays piano and speaks both russian and french. But how is the Danish actor's language skills?" (Jokingly) Well, I've been playing piano and speaking russian and french since I was 2. I couldn't speak a single word of russian and I could play a little piano piece that I'd learned and that everyone can play and I could only speak the bit of french I learned in school".
My mistake : it's 1:06 and he say : Voulez vous coucher avec moi ? (Do you want to sleep (or "have sex" with context) with me ?) but with a weird intonation x) but then I'm stupid ^^'
Oh okay, yes. I knew that's what the interviewer was saying. I thought you were talking about what Mads said in French in response to the interviewer's question. The interviewer was making a reference to the song "Lady Marmalade" jokingly, indicating that the only french Mads knew would probably from be from that song. The phrase itself was totally irrelevant to what he was asking though.
Oh seriuosly...I KNOW! but they talking about him speaking french and he's speaking little bit in french in this video.Think people just think! it's not hard!
