they thought the don had gone silent, since deep in the studies he’s accepted non violence, don’t make him have to skip some classes, and open up a old can of whoopass with the fastness
@@shadyg1816 i dont think so, it was released as a single in 2016, but a lot of people were feeding a rumor that DOOM and Madlib were planning a new album with an aspect of madvillainy. Since we are reaching 2020 and still no clue about another colab between DOOM and Madlib, i dont think the rumors were right
This is my favorite track from MF DOOM. Full of sick bars. Beautiful delivery showcasing his multi-rhyme linguistic ability. He carries these "lowkey" instrumentals so well. May his soul be resting in power.
That moment when you catch the Animal Farm reference (written by George Orwell). "Beat a dead pony and sell the corpse for glue, Get a portion off the proceeds for the shoe, No need to bleed if there's no pig to do." This shit would take too long to explain since I'd have to explain what the book is about and then to correlate that to Dooms rhymes.. Those who know, know. Read the book, its pretty short but has a lot packed into it. For example it discuses why and how knowledge is power, how power corrupts and it has a big political scheme if you catch it.
Stalinism, not communism. It was more about how the party intimidated and destroyed their opposition, all while changing history without people noticing
Orwell did indeed want to comment on Communism with his allegorical fable Animal Farm. The society that the animals set up is analogous to the beginnings of the Russian Revolution. The ideas that everybody should share equally in the wealth created by their collective labor is at the heart of Marx's ideology. Come on bro, use google.
Spencer Lenahan Yeah but it was also about how the ideology was used to benefit those in power while those without power suffered. Any questioning of authority was punished, much like Stalinism. But my point was that the book was more about how the party (Stalin's) abused their power, not about the system of communism. The only comparisons to Communism come with the promises the pigs make to the rest of the animals when they over throw the farmer (Tsar). Don't need Google when you've read the book lol
Orwell was not enamored of the Soviet Union and its policies, nor did he consider the Soviet Union a positive representation of the possibilities of socialist society. He could not turn a blind eye to the cruelties and hypocrisies of Soviet Communist Party, which had overturned the semifeudal system of the tsars only to replace it with the dictatorial reign of Joseph Stalin. Orwell became a sharp critic of both capitalism and communism, and is remembered chiefly as an advocate of freedom and a committed opponent of communist oppression. His two greatest anti-totalitarian novels-Animal Farm and 1984-form the basis of his reputation. Orwell died in 1950, only a year after completing 1984, which many consider his masterpiece. Please just google a summary bro.
Your missing internal rhymes a bunch of em, just saying it doesnt do him justice. Corpse and the port in portion rhyme for example but theres a shit ton in here and all DOOM songs.
