This is fucking incredible. One of my all time favorite games. I truly wish they had gone in this type of direction for Mafia III. Still can't get over how they left this game on such a cliffhanger and then NOT directly follow it up in the sequel. Such a bummer considering how special this game still is. Kudos. Great video.

Mafia III will never have the vibe that Mafia II had. Mafia II is an absolute masterpiece of media.

Antonio "Balls" is supposedly crippled at the end of the game because El Greco says he can't walk anymore. For me, this ending doesn't make any sense. Joe's sad ending is the good one because it adds a dramatic vibe. Saving Vito in exchange of Carlo's promise to make him a Capo.

We should start a petition to get this remade. Truly one of the greatest games ever, & it's a real shame Mafia 3 tainted the series' name.

Damn, just imagine if there were a cutscenes, more stories after Vito killed Carlo Falcone. But, in the end the devs left a huge cliffhanger, which sucks.

This game was just a blast. The driving mechanics, voice acting, comedy, gameplay. It was just the best of its time. Dont know why 2k did not continue in this direction. Great work

the use of music in this game is literally amazing, faultless tf, When that drop hits when vito has found out about joe, got goosebumps forreal man

Mafia 2 is my favourite mafia game all time and hell I wish if mafia 4 comes it will turn out as good as this game.

Probably the biggest cliffhanger in gaming, they definitely should've done an epilogue instead and by the looks of all that money they could've taken over empire bay or moved to somewhere like Miami for the next game.

This is nothing but a pain in the a** to install. I've sort of managed to do it. The game boots up fine, and I'm at the menu, when I select a new game for Friends for Life or even Carencyclopedia the game just quits. The installation of the mod is not that clear. The last part were it tells me to edit a file which the mod folder or my game directory doesn't have neeeds to be edited for player, safehouse locations. So I'm at a stand still here untill anyone can help?

You should have a choice in the game (at this point at least) whether to try to rescue Joe (A) or to accept the situation and do another job (B) and then to do it and die with it (B1) or to flee out of town and using only what is given for the job to do so (B2). Trying to rescue Joe could then mean to have the choice to kill Galante (A1) or to flee together as fast as possible (A2)... something like that maybe... Also I think this game (Mafia 2) deserves an Extended Edition. Even more and better graphics enhancements than the D.E. and sidemissions inside the story and with an enlarged story. Use missions from Jimmy and Joe (make them a bit different) and place them into the story. Jimmy DLC are not so beloved by many players to be honest. The character is difficult to identify with. Most importantly insert Charlie into the story! Taxi and bus system but also the train and underground system should be revived. To use them in sidemissions but also having to use them here and there might be nice. Also story enhancemant: When Vito's Villa is burnt down and when he comes back from prison he should have lost all his cars. This makes the whole situation even more interesting. And maybe some other changes for a refreshing gameplay. We need the bigger map from Joe's DLC. The free world is mostly used in the story because it has an effect on the missions (guns) and the freedom to go around the city is something that makes this game great. This could revive this game instead of failing with new expensive games disappointing fans and buyers...

This mod is good but the epilogue does not make sense considering Galante got Vito out of the city and joe to and they both appear back in mafia 3.

I see some minor details that would need correction. First, Eddie was a close friend of Falcone, which we know was killed in the original last mission, so wouldn't killing him be better than working with him? Second, there was said somewhere in the game that Balls got shot and is unable to walk, so why the hell he does? If i wasn't so lazy i would find more, but don't get me wrong, i respect you for what you do. But this story needed no continuation, the last mission completed the game pretty damn well.

This mod is amazing

This mod ruins the narrative and themes of Mafia 2. Mafia 2's ending uncertain angle to it. You see it from Vito's perspective. You see Joe drive of in another direction into uncertainty but Leo's dire words and Vito's facial expression shows how serious and ugly the situation is for Vito. His best friend gone and Vito in exile over their mistakes. You know what happened to Joe just from the very last few seconds Mafia 2's ending was really solid from a narrative standpoint. But this ruins that. This ending basically says "Vito rescues Joe and everyone live happily ever after" which is a serious blunder to the themes of the story. Mafia 2 is a tragic and brutal tale of violence and greed and Vito and Joe's character arc reflects that. And their mistakes made at the end of story shows the consequences of their actions. I'm so glad this is non canon.
