didn't return to it for the reasons i stated in the final thoughts... too top heavy for us to enjoy...

why can't he do it at that point? It says once a Round, it doesn't say it has to be at the start of the turn, in the middle of the turn, etc... it just says it has to be outside of combat, so, to me, if he wanted he could even use it outside of his turn, it wouldn't do much good then but I see nothing in the rules that prevents that skill from being used now... if I'm wrong, please could you point me to the section of the rules that says this is wrong? Thanks

It was mosty that with the group i played they houseruled it to be like that because they found healing after taking skills way too forgiving, i was thaught the game like that, so i got our houserules mixed up with the OG rules, oops!.

It does not double the attack, but it doubles the amount of block you would need to block the attack of the enemy. So Rahdo would need 6 block instead of 3. The attack value stays 3. Time 19:56

Because both the manual and him kinda explain it the way it should be explained, but isnt the easiest way to explain it. (He even says this in the video.) Damage is calculated by dividing the damage. (3) with the armour. (2) and then rounding it up. 3:2 = 1,5 rounded up is 2. :)

3/2 = 1.5, round up = 2 wounds I think you still take a wound even if the attack doesn’t beat the defense

you take one wound to reduce the amount of damage by your armor value (which was two in that case), but there's still one damage leftover from the 3 damage, and with that damage that you didn't block nor reduces you take a second wound.

For anyone else reading this the reason he took two wounds because the rules state if you can't block ALL of the damage then you automatically take one wound. Then you take damage from the attack minus your armor. 1 wound auto + .... 3 dmg-2 armor=1( didn't block it all so you take 1 damage) then what's leftover 1-2(your armor) =0 or below which means you blocked it all. So no more damage

Actually, this is incorrect. Swiftness doubles the monster's attack for purposes of blocking only. Basically, it means it takes twice as much Block to avoid damage. Brutal is the ability which doubles damage if the attack was unblocked. In summery, Rahdo played that combat correctly in the video.

+TheWestIsland no... you either use the top part of the card OR you pay 1 White Mana die to use the more powerful bottom part of the card

***** I think I found the for anyone who is interested. They are the Really Useful Box brand. They are the .30L boxes which hold the cards perfectly. They also have .14L boxes that work really well for the dice and mana crystals.

It's a friendly bout, just have to rock paper scissors or flip a coin or talk it over. Most games are cooperative so you dont need to compete for a certain card just talk it over.

+almagnuson06 that isn't true. Swiftness requires double the block to successfully block. If you take damage from swiftness it's regular damage you're thinking of brutal

That game still exists and is in production. This is a completely different board game carrying the same name, existing in the same universe. This is one of the best designed boardgames of the past ten years, don't dismiss it because you didn't take a moment to use google.

And what I mean by they fucked THIS game up, is that they had a simple, easy to learn system that they exchanged for a super complicated, cheaper to make variant. I understood what you wrote. This boardgame has nothing to do with the clix gaming system. It was released in 2011. The only connection is by name, setting, and publisher. This didn't replace anything. You're complaining about two completely different things. This isn't a varient, this isn't cheaper to make, it's contained within itself.

trashmyego Actually, this is a lot cheaper to manufacture, and technically would be a variant, since they share the same name, but yes. It is a self contained variant.

Reading the directions and figuring it out ourselves is more concise than trying to piece together your inconsistent and incorrect portrayal of the rules (like your alchemists video). Rahdo, you clearly have an excitement and a passion for board games, which is refreshing, but I feel to take your channel to the next level having a prepared speech or a prepared script would only attract more views, and thus, subscribers. You can still easily convey your excitement and throw in your one-liner jokes while still being more concise with a prepared portrayal of the rules. This would avoid the one thing that makes me roll my eyes consistently throughout your videos, "oh wait, actually it this...", "I'm not sure what the rules states, I'll have to look that up...", (After moving to another action) "Oh, also, this applies to what we just talked about..." In the meantime, I will take your advice. I will go out of my way to not view your content. My eye muscles could use a break from rolling every sixty seconds.
