She goes through periods of neglect with Dru and Charlotte rearing him. Angelica and Fluffy are annoyed by Dil's whining. She tries to get rid of him by sending him away and getting in trouble with Dru and Charlotte. Tommy and his friends are seen playing with Dil. This makes Angelica more jealous because all the attention she used to enjoy as a single child is now going to him. She learns a hard lesson after accidentally losing Dil and having to team up with Tommy and his friends to find him. However, they changed the script from Charlotte being pregnant with him to Didi.

It was Marge's fault to begin with. Lisa was right to call her out for doing such things because of the magazine article's bad advice. Had Marge slowly weened Maggie off her pacifier instead of tossing it in the trash like it suggested, she wouldn't have this problem.

Lisa warned her against it because the advice given by Larry Flint on his magazine was wrong and the negative side effect that would follow. She spoke from experience because she and Bart did the same thing to Maggie by forcing her off the pacifier to fail results. Marge should've listened to Lisa the first time and slowly started weening her off the pacifier. Had she listened the first time, there wouldn't have been any need to try and appease Maggie, nor her fighting with Lisa about Flint's article.
