Honestly Walpurgisnacht is so strong that madoka had to use almost all of her magic to destroy her in one timeline, causing her soul gem to become a grief seed the only reason Walpurgis even had been defeated was because madoka had limitless potential, but in this series it seems that walpurgis got killed by one concentrated attack
Literally UI is also one of the most powerful girls also If i remember well the others also participated giving their power there are Lots of magical Girls and together all of them could defeat her
In my view, like the portable games, Walpurgis Nacht is an extremely powerful witch, but even like Homilily, she can be defeated with 1) one powerful magical girl solo'ing her will be a sacrifice that may birth a more powerful witch 2) the concentrated effort of magical girls surviving her wake cooperatively, and being able to share the massive benefits
Ui literally combined the powers of 50+ magical girls into a single bullet and Iroha just happened to be the one to shoot the bullet. Even then Walpurgis still almost beat the shit out of all them. Had it not been for Homura and Ui Walpurgis would’ve slaughtered all of them. Hell, the only reason why they won even WITH Homura and Ui was because Madokami buffed them.
I agree for this how the soul turned out it made me gnaw and died because it didn't know how to control its gathering power Come on come on who they want to make fun of Poor ui😓😡
The part that made me feel at ease: Homura finally catching a breathe as she watches Walpurgis being destroyed by the combined powers of all Megucas, aided by Madokami.
Chill out guys, the game still has some time to go... don't give them any ideas. But yeah if the game ends badly im cutting ties with the franchise lol. Although IMO the anime ending is not as bad as i imagined, cuz spoiler: At least the mikazuki girls and i think most if not all named kamihama magical girls survived and are headed into a bright future. I'm really sad for ui, momoko, mifuyu, kuroe, (maybe nemu and touka), the mitakihara girls, and the others. But fuckkk if it's not heartwrenching when they showed homura rewind time like damn when will she stop getting punked to death. Really hope the game will end HAPPILY and NOT bittersweet or bad, i'm sure aside from me there are others who have had enough of despair milking on this franchise. Please at least let the girls be happy for a change
@Birdie I don't think this destroys lore. There was, what, 30 or more magical girls there? Maybe up to 50?? A good chunk were extremely powerful, as well, with the Holy Quintet there to help, Ui and others. It took one shot from Madoka, using all her magic, to defeat Walpurgisnacht in another timeline. So, I don't think the collective power of this many magical girls (plus having like. Five separate people hold Walpurgisnacht down) matching up to Madoka (in a way that doesn't witch EVERYONE out) is bad

Magia record is a broken universe/timeline cause when you rewrite the world TWICE, after rewinding time (and so creating another timeline/universe each time) over 100 times, something is gonna go wrong. That's why the Law of Cycles can't interact with the world, it's so unstable cause it wasn't intended (the doppel system is the outcome of that instability). The anime even shows that the Law of Cycles exists by the time Magia Record does, just can't interact without fucking something up I mean, I feel like it _not_ being an AU already ruins the canon timeline. Homura is Moeurma in this, but acts kind of like an in-between, since she knows the girls better than she _would_ as moe, yet not as well as Homura. This would of had to be one of Homura's first three timelines to still fit, since when going into the fourth she finally healed her eyes and unbraided her hair. Which, didn't we see the ending of all of those timelines? I'm not trying to sound rude, so heavy apologizes if this is.

Magia record shows that even a city’s worth of magical girls throwing everything they had at Walpurgisnacht wasn’t enough to bring the witch at least before Ultimate Madoka intervened to lend them some of her power. Even supposing Homura could’ve gotten the other girls to cooperate with her it likely wouldn’t have helped. Only a super powered Madoka strengthened by ~4 timelines worth of karma could take down Walpurgisnacht though not without becoming a witch herself

The anime is so good, even if there are a lot new characters but i like how they more and more going to the place where all began, thanks your comment made a lot more sense then other ones. i watched only 12 episodes but i like the less darker setting and the new options and this one soundtrack before they go to the radio tower. This is an earlier timeline where human madoka is not as powerful. Homura still has her glasses, she hasn't created all the karma stuff that made her strong yet
