Magic & Creation: Heka & Hecate, Ptah & The Demiurge - A Deconstruction of Creator Gods & Stories

This is Spiritual Studies Session 65.
This session seeks to thoroughly investigate the relations between the aforementioned Heka and Hecate and Ptah and the Demiurge. Transparently speaking, this talk almost exclusively focuses on the Greek and Egyptian spiritual traditions, with some exception given to Gnosticism. However, the implications of the subject matter are vast, casting a greater deconstruction of creation stories and the tropes therein, plays into a curious cap to the previous sessions on alchemy and spiritual energy and lastly, plays into a fascinating introduction to Free Masonry and ancient concepts of "magic."

I’m so crazy for this content. It’s an answer to my wildest dreams. I love mythology and have psychic gifts so I’ve been trying to put the pieces together for truth, truth found in the ancient traditions and mystical practices. Thank you SO much for making this. You’re really funny, insightful and bring together the sacred magic and detail to history that opens my channels to frequencies I’ve longed hoped to have an explanation for. Brilliant presentation and research. Thank you for this epic contribution to us deeply resonating beyond the modern propagandas. 🙏🏼💕✨🌈😇

11:41 -“Witchcraft/Magic & Cooking” - My immediate thought was how the inspiration one possesses is converted from an intangible expression into a tangible, meaningful experience for not only the individual but for others, as well. For this reason, magic is essential in all aspects of life from cooking to building rockets. It’s a process of inspiration, aspiration & respiration (reflection & releasing).

This is my new favourite channel. Incredible dive into in-depth comparative religion & mythology. Has been incredibly helpful in my recent spiritual rebirth, while trying to balance my new acceptance of the spirit & divine, w/ my prior knowledge & biases received from years of studying the natural sciences. Have really appreciated your work as a great reference & jumping off point, for me to get a started on researching these subjects myself. May God/Gods bless you.

Hey man, I love your videos, you help me analyze my own views on spiritualism and give me a lot of inspiration to write stories. I was wondering if you could make a video based on what different cultures think the body/soul are made of. Like the egyptian Khet, Sah, Ren, Ba, etc.

I recently discovered the story of Hera creating Hephaestus and hiding her horrendous self-progeny by casting him off from Olympus, and it occurred to me that it is symbolically indistinguishable from Sophia and her abortion, Yaldabaoth/Samael/Saklas. If you were to have a desire to explore the demiurge further, this might be a convenient starting point. You might find more direct correlations in Hinduism, but the story of why Bramah (the demiurge) is not worshipped might be enlightening. He was punished for creating an illusory work full of suffering. He also lost his 5th head because of selfishness, indicating that is is a form of Yaldabaoth that has been tamed by the true divine trinity: Vishnu, Shiva and Shiva's Shakti (female force expression). The Hephaestus myth also ends with Hephaestus ending up in Olympus, so the more general demiurge is a redeemed figure.

You did it, you have no idea what I'm talking about. I started studying Gnosticism almost 3-4 yrs ago. Around that time i made a statement that Ptah could be the equivalent to the One Great light of gnostic myth. However you made the connection to yaldaboath (demiurge), Yahweh to Ptah. Dammit you're right. I came close but this is much more accurate. Also may i add i told many in my Facebook groups i couldn't be sure that they were the same because i didn't know much of Ptahs (story) . But thank you. You did it.

Very nice video... I guess intuition is the best phrase to understand Ptah.. Intuition make thoughts who make action, which start creation... Great metaphysics :)

By far your most important work to date. With regards to Ptah being the Dwarf, in Scandinavian mythology the dwarves are the craftsmen. There is also a potential etymology of 'ginn-nun' gaggap, or the gap of the god nun. Ptah is the sound of the first WORD, or LOGOS (the thought in the heart). It is AUM, the sound that caused Visnu to awake (the action leading to the appearance of Brama, the demiurge) I would class the episode under the "fundamentals of creation" (macrocosmic and microcosmic) rather than alchemy more generally. You have found the root of the roots of creation stories in what you thought was a series on alchemy. But as you will see from its effects on your experience of life, it is of the Fertile Earth (or Black Land). Hold the thought in your heart and speak your vision. Thus you plant your seeds in the Fertile Earth. This is why ecerything that is touched by the Stone (ultimate reality or Awakened (Buddha) Nature) turns to Gold...

22:20 just a note - the triple goddess as "maiden mother crone" was made up by the poet writer Robert Graves. Scholars and devotees of the Goddess Hekate have known this for a long time. Thank u for your work also

If you have a lot of free time, and want to make a truly special episode, then consider this as an exercise in tying traditions together. The creation of man happened in 5 cycles for the Maya. They had earth people (like the Semites), people made of wood (like Germania), etc. You could do a though experiment making the assumption that the Mayan myth is true. The question would then be if you associate the story to other cultures (based on how they say humans were created), does a coherent picture emerge? In the rare chance that a pattern or some deeper understanding does emerge, the implication is that there might have been an Atlantis like civilisation, and the Maya might have the sum of other stories because they were visited last. Or in a less lofty light, if you find a pattern it might be that there is a global spiritual tradition of which parts of the stories remain more intact than others for every culture. Such a global situation can be explained better by a transmigration of souls, because if it was people then it is strange they never brought plants with them. The Awakened soul remembers, so geographical distance means little if the souls can reincarnate on any continent.

I love when this guy says hmmmm.... sounds familiar ❤ i do the same thing because i research the same interests. If we shared notes there would be fireworks and the same joy as if we just finished a hard puzzle that no one could figure . Im writing a book that proves magic is how the bible miracles was done. Thoth had a magic school that king solomon , jesus and other important characters migrated to. If you find older versions of the bible , you can find pictures of jesus holding a magic wand . It was not added because it takes the attention away from him being devine . Look into the temple of the celestrial clouds, Doaist magic. With studies in : seeing spirits, having visions, stopping time, dream magic , invisibility , suspended animation, walking thru walls, soul travel, teleportation, shape shifting, defense magic, healing magic, sex magic, materialization, telekinesis, weather magic and so many more . These teachings are not for outsiders .

Certainly been on my mind. It's been my conviction for a while that the whole subject of "magic" ought to be brought late in the course. It always felt as though alot of ground work needs to be established before that leap. Only from there do I feel like chaos magic could be properly approached, or at least in the way that I'd want to. I've looked into the study a few times, good sourcing though has been challenging, would you happen to have any leads to follow?

@@cgdahlin That's fair, I understand. Looking forward to all the interesting topics for the videos you have lined up Resources for Chaos magic: Andrieh Vitimus’s ‘Hands-On Chaos Magic’ is probably the best starter book. It is keyed to a total beginner so much that you might get sick of all the basic exercises the book has Phil Hine's ‘Condensed Chaos’ is the best 101 for Chaos magic in my opinion Carroll's ‘Liber Kaos’ or ‘Apophenia’ is a good read If you're interested in the sort of "mission statement" of Carrollian chaos magic Hawkins's ‘Understanding Chaos Magic’ is a great read too for a more philosophical and historical perspective
