like we all didn't already know he is one of the towering composers of all time, artists of all time, a genius who had the entire piece composed in his brain before he even started notating it on paper. He himself described the writing as the boring part, like taking dictation. His music is organic, like it already existed in nature before he plucked it out of the heavens.
we had to hear this part in school over and over again but I liked it every time. Thanks to my teacher for music I began to like classical music. He died two years ago I wonder if he knew that he had a strong influence on us kids...
I love this overture and the way it sounds! In fact, some parts are very fun to play. I played this with the Waltham Philharmonic for the first concert and I was there playing clarinet!
What a fantastic 6+ minutes! It doesn't get any better than this. The best version I've heard of one of the best pieces of music ever written. And in Salzburg too. Perfect!
absolutely Brilliant what a great performance , thanks a lot for a further one of the melodies and composer the world never forgets....nice greetings from Vienna 💞
Happy Birthday! Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on 27 January 1756 to Leopold Mozart (1719-1787) and Anna Maria, née Pertl (1720-1778), at 9 Getreidegasse in Salzburg. This was the capital of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, an ecclesiastic principality in what is now Austria, then part of the Holy Roman Empire.[4] He was the youngest of seven children, five of whom died in infancy
Actually, this is like the 1812 overture but without cannons, and this piece is also written in the sonata form. 0:00 Introduction 1:07 Exposition, first subject 2:05 Exposition, second subject 2:42 Mini coda Unlike the normal sonata form, the whole exposition is not repeated 3:03 Development 4:27 Recapitulation, first subject 5:17 Recapitulation, second subject 5:52 Coda
0:00 - 0:011 always reminded me of 1812 Overture. And when I looked up Tchaikovsky I found out his favorite composer was apparently Mozart! He must have been inspired.
Finalmente. Che scelta di tempo! E subito pronto ad attaccare l'allegro seguente. Bellissimo! Senza "pacchianate", misurato, incisivo. Preciso. Giusto. Così.. Mozart.
