I love watching videos of the Extreme 8 4x4 chair. It brings such added mobility to those of us confined to a chair. If I could afford it I'd order one today.
@@MagicMobility I have a jazzy elite es. I love it but the wheels are very small and I'm forced to also use it outdoors to navigate the city.. I can't drive and busses are not free. I did. Reprogram it to go faster though. Ah well I'm 5 years I can upgrade but I'm quite dependant on it.
I am fascinated by X8 this is the best wheelchair for mountains that I ever seen .I am a mountaineer but i lost abilities in an accident, if I had this x8 it will be like i walk again in my world of mountains .Fortunately I can not afford .I wish to have one like this, and one day maybe i find donor and got it. X8.ITS AMAZING
@@MagicMobility never give up on your dreams? Often these fancy wheelchairs are out of anyone's price range and the so-called 'dream' is more like a huge tease.
Took one for a test ride last week. Awesome!! Would have loved to actually try it on the beach, but had to be satisfied with the biggest patches of loose sand I could find on nearby trails as the Occupational Therapist had to fit the trial and a number of other things into a 2 hour window. Took 5-10 minutes to get used used to the differences in turning from my mid--wheel drive V6-C73, and to remember to tilt the seat back a bit prior to mounting / dismounting roadside kerbs, but then I was away! I was surprised at how tightly it could actually turn, and only once bumped a rear wheel when not allowing enough clearance as I turned around an obstacle. When I did find a patch of very soft and quite deep sand, I was surprised at how well the chair floated rather then digging trenches (as I am used to with my C73). I felt very comfortable in the chair and quickly became confident that it could easily deal with all the bush trails around where I live. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 I guess the next step is to see how it goes with NDIS, and if approved, wait patiently for construction and delivery before finally getting to see how my very own chair performs on the rather extensive nearby beach. My fingers, and arms and 1.5 legs and eyes are all crossed! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
I have one of these. It is 5 or 6 years old now and still going strong. I use it in farm and garden chores mostly. I had a Xtreme 4X4 before this and I wore it out. I've read lots of comments about price and I admit it is costly but if freedom means anything to you the price is not out of line. I even use mine to operate the rototiller in the garden. I would add a photo but don't know how on this. I painted mine John Deere green with yellow wheels.
We all freedom even those of us on very low income so either medicare should cover added cost or the price needs to be a whole lot cheaper. Some of us were not in service nor are we financial able to buy outright or able to work with payment options. Some incomes are very low, we did not chose this; but often just a part of what happens in life...

these off-road wheelchairs should be free for those who need them. I find it so disgusting that millions are spent to support the spendings of politicians (transportation, housing, food, etc), they have literally everything for free, but there's no money when it comes to helping out a couple wheelchair guys...
Fell in love with it the day I tested one Now i can go fishing Do it Girls and boys you wont be disappointed , One thing is you cant use them inside due to the width and toque on carpets etc !
The Extreme X8 is not funded by Medicare as they don't fund outdoor chairs. However, our Frontier V6 Urban can be and then easily upgraded with all-terrain tyres for more adventurous driving. Here's a link to explain. www.magicmobility.com.au/usa/

I would love to get one of these wheelchairs being as I am semi-limited wheelchair-bound now. I had an Rt-Leg AKA back in 2019. I just do not have the funds to buy one.
I have a X8 and I am flat out getting 11klms out of it, WITH NEW BATTERIES. and I am only 85kgs. It is said it is because of the cold temp, but last year I got 20klms and now 11klms. No one can fix it or will fix it and it is NOW becoming a great door stop AND DUST COLLECTOR.
@@hanzkilian1806 Investigate someone in electronics who can measure the system current draw. Something may be dragging. Also make certain the tires are up to pressure. Low tires eat up lots of power. Not knowing "how cold" you deal with or whether the chair is stored in the cold, etc is a huge factor
I have a FRONTIER X5 I got through the U.S. Veterans Administration ( VA ) in 2009. The VA said that it is time to replace it with a new one. The X5 is a great chair and have gone through a lot of places a normal chair can't. Always coming home pulling weeds and twigs from this chair. I thought about changing to an X8 instead of an V6. The chair is always in the garage and I never use the X5 inside the house. I enjoy going to beach and through the woods with the X5 but get stuck sometimes. So I thought about the X8. Any suggestions?
Hi Dale, We're thrilled to hear that your Frontier X5 has enabled you to get out and about and enjoying life. The Frontier X5 has now been superceded by our Frontier V6 range. The Extreme X8 is most certainly an outdoors chair that will enable you to experience a few more terrains and ultimately a "world that's not flat". Contact our distributor Innovation In Motion who will be able to offer you some more advice and connect you through to your closest agent of our wheelchairs. Here's a link to their contact page. Once again, thank you for your review. www.mobility-usa.com/contact-us.html
Thank You for the quick response ! The VA provides me with all my power chair needs. I was told that I can have the X8 if I wanted it. My concern is that X8 might be to big for going into stores and restaurants. Is the X8 bigger or wider than the V6 ? Thank You.
Whilst the length of Extreme X8 is only 100mm longer than the Frontier V6-All Terrain, the X8 is predominately an outdoors chair and you may struggle with it around stores and restaurants. All of the specifications for each wheelchair can be found on our website. www.magicmobility.com.au/wheelchairs/electric-wheelchairs/ We do suggest that you contact Innovation In Motion who can discuss all the options with you and ultimately assist you to decide upon the chair that is most suited to your lifestyle. Their phone number is +1 260-665-2769 or you can contact them through their website that I provided in my previous response to you. Innovation In Motion can also assist you with purchasing your new wheelchair with the assistance of VA.
good to know that the VA would help with one of these. I live in the boonies, and the guy I had been getting my chairs through left, the new woman in durable medical at the local VA said she will try to get me something like this for my next one. half the places I need to go do not have pavement around my town, so it would really open my world up.

Thank you for your enquiry. The range you can achieve depends on several variables; battery run in and care, how often the chair is used, the type of terrain, the weight of the user, how the chair is driven, etc. But generally with an Extreme X8, you will achieve anywhere from 5-12 miles on one charge. You can also upgrade to the larger 92Ah battery which will give you approx. 20% more range. Thanks

I have inquired about the X8 but have been told that I won't be able to get it into my apt. People telling me this haven't seen my apt. Also told can't get it in an elevator. My laundry room is on 4th floor so need elevator use. Seems like they just don't want me to have it even when I asked for a demo. I have been told the V6? Would be better for me. Right now my chair has all the bells and whistles but 4wd would allow me to go hunting and fishing again. Im a dual amputee. Issues with both shoulders and blind in one eye partially the other. VAMC says I won't be able to get it in my apt. They haven't seen it. I live 10ft from back door to apt blding.
Thank you for your inquiry, Dan. The turning circle on the X8 is around 2m. It is predominantly an outdoor-only chair, but we are aware of some people with adapted homes (wide hallways, no carpet, etc.) who manage to use it as their everyday chair. Being a 4x4 chair, the only wheels that can be fitted are the knobby all-terrain wheels, which are definitely not suitable for use on carpet. Also, if you use your chair on concrete as part of your daily terrain, the knobby tires wear very quickly. The Extreme X8 is an incredible, truly life-changing chair, however, we do feel that all of the above should be taken into consideration when choosing a chair. That is why we created the Frontier V6 AT. It has very similar capabilities, along with the ability to change the tires to an indoor-friendly urban option. You can view the V6 AT on our website here: www.magicmobility.com.au/wheelchairs/frontier-v6-all-terrain-electric-wheelchair/. I hope this information has been of some help to you! Wishing you all the very best in your future endeavors! From the team at Magic Mobility
