This is indeed a spicy week! Unaddressed Comments: 10:14 - Jim legally but unnecessarily takes damage off of casting Narset. 22:45 - *Screaming at monitor* Flip the Top! Outcome it in response! 35:12 - A habit I suggest getting into is holding priority when casting anything off the top of your library. You may want to resolve the thing under it before whatever you first cast. 36:21 - Though technically unnecessary, Jim forgot to untap lands to Frantic Search.

Isnt this the third on-camera game where James has had Smothering Tithe and effectively won the game with it? First time with Notion Thief on an active Niv-Mizzet to avoid taking lethal damage to then turn it out (if I remember it correctly), this game, and a third that I can't recall off the top of my head but I know it was a major factor in that one as well.

Finally got time to watch the video. Shout out to Jerry's sweet 'stache.

I really like your videos, but it is very difficult to read the card just played, the one showed in the center of the screen, it is too small if i don't know its effect, so can you please make it bigger? maybe even covering the paper commander space, thanks!

At 22:45 Jim POs his artifacts. He can instead tap top to draw and trigger on the stack then PO it and his other artifacts to get an additional draw

Not to be pedantic but at 22:35 Jim could've tapped the Top and in response cast Paradoxical Outcome to get an extra 2 cards.

OO a new Spike Feeder. Too bad she had to watch Jim play magic for most of it. Maybe she'll get to play more next time

Yeah... this episode is a reminder of why I don't stay at the table if someone pulls out Narset. I'd prefer to take 10 minutes or less to resolve a turn for a win than take upwards of 50-60 minutes. Narset is also why I have refused, and will always refuse, to build a UW Taigam commander deck in a similar manner. Still, if y'all managed to still have fun then that is what matters in the end.

Isn't it better to use Narset's reversal to copy your own counterspell (FoW in this case) so the Red elemental blast fizzles and you still have one more counter up?

I'm more of a fan of the Fork.deck variant style, where you copy the copies of the copies of your Time Stretch and Seize the Day. Just out of curiosity, how do people submit decks for consideration for The Spike Feeders? Thanks again, and keep shuffling.

Hm, it's a bit hard watching this sometimes, since often times each player will try to be advancing their own game plan despite the board state of their opponents. I think the smart move may have been for bill to use the caterpillar to blow up tithe before it got out of hand. But I guess there are arguments either way...

Can you play 2dh or oathbreaker? They're both really fun and commander based. If you didnt know: 2dh is a variant of commander that your commander has to be 5 dollars or less and every other card, excluding basics have to be 2 dollars or less, and the prices have to be gotten from the market price from mtgstocks.com Oathbreaker is a commander variant where your commander has to be a planeswalker and you also get a signature instant or sorcery that you can cast if you have your commander (or oathbreaker, which is the official term) on the field. Both your oathbreaker and signature spell are affected by commander tax. It's a 60 (still singleton) card format with 20 life, and it's own banlist (oathbreakermtg.org/banned-list/)

So why did bill not immediately blow up the smothering tithe with the Caterpillar? I guess he could have used it to take out a combo piece but he could have done it in response to Toxic Deluge to get some use out of it. (Granted I'm bad at the game so idk why anyone does anything)

Turn 5 Narset takes a 25 minute turn, Maddy does nothing at all. Seems pretty unfun for her. She didn't really get to play the game at all

I hate playing people like Jim. Watching someone take a turn that lasts for 20+ min is not fun.
