He performed his show on our college campus in Fall 1986. In the late evening he arrived in front of our local Irish Pub with a limousine and his entourage. He only stayed at the bar for a short time because the mostly student bar crowd was not in awe of his showman style entrance and stance. Was he looking for young lady students? Not cool.

It's the imbalance of power. Victims not only feel shame, they also feel powerless against someone with such wealth and fame. Weinstein, Trump, etc. Often it takes one person brave enough to step forward, for the rest to feel like they'll be believed. My only issue is, by remaining quiet, it allows them to victimize more people. True, many accusations are made for either revenge or as a cash-grab, but these things do happen. I don't know if Copperfield is guilty, but that's a lot of accusations.

I was a magician's assistant. For some reason, i haven't ever been a fan of DC. Probably because i got tired of his corny illusions. He "makes huge objects magically disappear". What i found disappointing, is that he takes too long, and you can still see every step of the trick. It's aggravating for me. Not entertaining. I also thought that some of the shows seemed like he's into bondage, sadism, and extreme kink.

Back in the 1990s, I arrived in Las Vegas at 2 in the morning and was checking into the MGM Grand. David Copperfield was in the lobby with two very young-looking women - teenagers likely - that were dressed up in mini dresses and heels. Someone had been filming this, and Copperfield's bodyguards had taken the tape and were destroying it.
